Hello, I have tested BP. it works good but there will be 2 member dashboard. we need to work on them later. we are building our support forum site with bbpress. so far it works fine. just need to add some styles for design.

Hi Rob, just a couple more questions before purchasing.
If BuddyPress is out of the question (as you will have 2 member dashboards), how much control do i have over the member’s dashboard (can i enable/disable their tabs for example?), how would i go about allowing my registered members to submit posts for example? (i assume wp dashboard is blocked).
Lastly, i couldn’t see in your demo and single sample page. i.e. regular pages (About us, Services, Team etc.) i wish to understand if i can create regular pages without presenting the map or listing header. As well as i wanted to see the different page templates that are included.

Hello, We have plans to have open/close options.there are options for pending and publishing. you need to go to items page and click publish on pending items.
we have another style templates but they are not ready to publish yet. you only have that tab style page for now and will be added some options to customized.

We didn’t used framework. this is our own and compitible with some great plugins. pre-loading is pace loading. it’s great. but if you don’t want, you can hide (disable)
Linking 1 listing : it’s no shortcode for it. but if you need, we can add. not this week. mostly planed. we try to update mostly everyday.

Are the flags examples and the theme can be translated into more languages or are those the only ones? Q2. How does the number of items affect the performance? Lets say like marco57 above, I put 20000 items on my site? Will the theme keep its great performance? Q3. Does theme supports google ads? Q4. As I am new with wordpress I wonder; can’t I just translate all the buttons, widget headings and so on by my own in the coding files (by just changing the words in the coding) ? If I want to use a translation program, can the theme be translated into other languages then you have stated like; norwegian?

1. WPML or codestyle localization are working. we sent our lastest vesion to WPML support team. we will keep working on it. update and fixing.
2.We did mostly serialized to make it better performance. we try to best performance. but it also related with hosting side as well. your images are also optimized. but I recommend you to use categories well. if you have 20,000 listings on your map. do not show on 1st page. Let users select category or location on 1st page (maybe front page) and move to map page with category and location. then it’s much less than all of your listings. if I want to see all, then yes. it’s still your users can see. I believe we still have good performance.
3. Not yet but we will ad.. adsense or others. it would be a shortcode.
4. this is how you setup your site. if you want to have .. multi-sites. the you can have muti-networks. I like it and pretty much good.
5.. WPML is a great plugin for translate. we provide English file and you just need to keep changing what you want in your language. One of our buyer recommend a website to translate with others. but too busy at this moment.

Thank you Rob! And sorry for all the posts (apparently I can’t edit the posts here afterwards). But to clearify. Can I translate the site without WPML? In the coding, can I change (by my self) the words “Search on Map” to the same words translated by my self into another language? Is this possible with the widgets/plugins aswell; lets say the log in function. Can I change the words “FORGOT YOUR USERNAME?” into norwegian or danish by finding and changing those words in the coding? Is this possible to do with every english word written on the site? I only need to translate the site into one language why WPML might be unneccesary. Thank you again for your time!

Yes you can do without WPML. we may update new po file next week. we have found some missing strings. If you just want 1 language, there are many plugins for it. codestyle localization could be good.

Sure thing, is there a way to replace the map with a widget area or static content on the map box page?
Also, is there a way to add a new custom field to “Item” So I can add in a new filterable post. So for instance Category, Location, “Business type” would be my third.

Hi, congrats on releasing a great looking theme. I purchased the directory theme Spotfinder and ended asking for a refund because of all the issues with the template.
Spotfinder was a good theme but their team lacked project management (PM) skills to make the theme great. I sent them an email with some PM suggestions that you will hopefully consider.
1st – I believe most seasoned themeforest users want you guys to succeed. Keep in mind that if you succeed – we succeed. It’s no fun when one purchases a theme and after weeks of trying to develop it, the theme owner stops responding to emails or worse stops supporting/developing the theme.
2. Communication is key to successful project management. I see that your support link goes to Wordpress login. Please consider implementing an open forum to handle issues/bug. I personally search forums to troubleshoot problems before submitting a support ticket. It may cut down on support tickets if you provide the answers to bug fixes.
3. Managing expectations will help everyone. When Spotfinder was launched it was flooded with bug reports and new feature requests. I am seeing the same response with your theme. The Spotfinder team tried to please everyone and instead ended disappointing everyone. Please consider using a system like uservoice (there are a few WP plugins) to record and manage all user feature requests, and let us vote on the priority of developing the features.
Lastly, it’s great when theme developers communicate effectively. It helps everyone to know where we stand. Please consider posting weekly updates of new feature release dates, bug fixes, upcoming features.
I hope this information is helpful and much success with your sales.

Wow – Thank you so much for such an awesome directory theme. I’m using the Bluehost dedicated WordPress hosting and the site flies.
I do have a suggestion that would rock:
Maybe if we can have a street-view option for the header image/map section on an item and a default featured image that can be site branded. This is so locations can be added quickly and the site can be filled up. A custom featured image would then be a paid add-on for directory clients.

1.- quick one, Im trying to develop a classified ads site instead of a regular directory, is there any option to switch and twerk this theme out of the box to make it for Classified ads instead? I really love the features but I dont really see how could I benefit or monetize a directory theme in my city as there are many already for free, so Id like to go the listing-ads-classifieds route instead hitting niche markets.
Any insight on the request? Also, I found very interesting the way it looks for shops, in case it can be used as classifieds , any way to search by shops and see what items or ads that shop carries (using the layouts it already have)

1. This theme is basically designed for business theme at first. there are custom fields with this theme. you can add some classifieds inputs, select boxes, textarea as custom fileds. I have not tried yet. but I guess it’s still possible but not 100% enough. we have to work on it little bit. we have experience for property, job buddypress themes (not all of them pubish and not themeforest). we believe that we can add that features in future. but directory first at this moment.
2. Yes, we can maybe try. if you are really serious about working classified with this theme. please email me. let’s keep talking about this I think it’s not too far from classifieds as you said.

Are you able to group the markers (when zoomed out) and show a single marker with numbers on the map? Other directory software uses this type of setup.
When there are lots of markers, there can be thousands of marker/pins trying to load on to the map.
