Hi, pre-buy question:
on the vertical way of my tablet (samsung) the main menu is not visible anymore. Is it only me who is experiencing that, or?
2:
Is there a sample of static pages (such as about, services, team etc..)
Hi there
Support is provided to all verified buyers at http://support.codestag.com
please open a ticket there and we will help you out.
Thanks!
which means I can NOT have pre-buy questions right?
We really liked the theme but want to be sure with some details before paying for that.
Hi there,
Seems we messed up with comments, guess that’s what happens when you’re on a work streak? Anyways, my sincerest apologies to you. To answers your questions:
1. For tablets there should be a sandwich button in place of the navigation. Can you send a screenshot at shop[at]codestag.com?
2. There are no built in page templates like services, team etc, however an example of a static page is the contact page, which is this: http://demo.codestag.com/om/get-in-touch/
Let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks and sorry for the misunderstanding!
thx. another thing is
3. Is it possible to create subbuttons ( I couldnt see any on the demo page)
4. Is it possible to change the type and also the place of social icons. I mean if we can use our own designed icons images instead of the current ones on the page now.
Hi again!
3. Not sure what you mean by sub-buttons… If you mean sub-menu items for the navigation, here is how they look: https://cloudup.com/cg697A74hdJ
4. Yes, you can customize the typography, here is the typography section from the customizer: http://cl.ly/XHmZ
Of course you can choose to show or not show the social icons. If you want to use you own ones you will need to add them as image links.
Thanks!
Great theme
Does it have infinite scroll or at least pages to show older posts?
I would also like to know why words get cut off when the theme is viewed on mobile
Hello,
Here’s how pagination would look like – https://cloudup.com/cuq7zL9Y7Yl and no, there is no support for Infinite scroll. Am not sure what do you mean by words getting cut off, could you provide us more detail? Probably a screenshot?
Thanks.
Just a short question. Colors of links that you have in your blog text do not seem to be highlighted in any way. Meaning that they stay the same color as the text.
I have checked the color settings etc, but the Accent color does not seem to be used on links.
Any tips to get the links to be highlighted, as now they are way to hidden within a blog text.
Thanks, and keep up the good work!
-E
Hello,
Link colors under content area are set to be black and underlined, those aren’t accent colors by default.
If you need help changing that, please create a ticket on our support forum. Thanks.
Underline would be sufficient, but this is not happening either. Will make a ticket accordingly, thank you
Hello,
When I add the Section: Recent Posts (Grid) widget to the homepage, the following error shows up:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/commotio/public_html/wp-content/themes/om/inc/widgets/recent-posts.php on line 98
Any idea what is going on?
Hello,
Not sure what would cause this, can you please create a ticket on our support forum so we can take a look?
Hi.
I just cant figure out (cant find), custom widget area creating in my widgets. Trying to add custom widget to my homepage as told in documentary(Custom widget area through the panel below.), but i cant find the damn panel.
Hello,
It’s right there under Appearance ? Widgets, make sure you have Stag Custom Sidebars plugin active.
If you still aren’t able to get it working, please create a ticket on our support forum and we’d be glad to assist you. Thanks.
Hi there,
I was looking for the dummy content xml file for OM. The supplied link in the theme documentation only shows the xml files for the other themes. Could you please let me know where I can find the dummy content file?
Thanks
Hi there, thanks for the heads up, seems we accidentally edited the page. It is there now.
here is a direct link for it: http://cl.ly/X85J
Let us know if you need further help! Thanks!
Thanks, you guys rock!

Pre Purchase questions:
1. Will this theme support a shopping cart? 2. I didn’t see in the Live Demo, what type of galleries you could use
Hi there!
1. Nope, this is a blogging theme
2. We are using the Jetpack galleries.
Thanks!
Hi,
Presale questions, 1. On home page, possible to have two separate category blog sections? And also set the number of posts to be displayed? 2. Back to top button? 3. Floating navigation menu? 4. Portfolio section?
Cheers
HI there
Unfortunately apart from the first question, all the other are not possible.
Thanks!
Noted with thanks!
Hello, could I install this theme with a wordpress 3.9.2 version? I already purchase the template but I don’t want update my wordpress until be sure is going to work
Thank you!!!!
Hello,
Om is compatible with WordPress 3.8 and up, also its compatible with upcoming version 4.0. So yes, it would definitely work
Great!!!! Then I am going to have fun with my new and lovely template!!!!! <3 <3 <3 Thank you!!!!
Hi,
The first question – does this theme support multiple rotating featured header images?
e.g. a header image that displays for lets say 3 seconds and follows with another 2 images for 3 seconds each before restarting the rotation again.
Do you understand what I mean by this?
The second question – is the navigation bar font changeable and bold-able.
The third question – am I able to have a side bar with social media buttons instead of how it is placed in this example?
Thank you, Dayne (newbie)
Hi, to answer your questions:
1. No, no slider is included. However you can use any of the 1000s slider plugins that already exist if you wish. The homepage is widgetized so adding a slider widget will do the trick.
2. Yes, and you can edit the font weight with some css
3. yes, there is an option for left/right/none sidebar for the posts and pages. But not for the homepage though..
thanks!
What I meant was for question 2, may we change the font without changing the theme.
Yes, you can, sure.
But keep in mind that your choice will affect the font used for headings too. The theme offers the option to change the font for body text and for headings. The navigation menu text is affected by the heading font.
Ok so what you are saying is I may only have one font, one font to rule them all.
But may other pages have different fonts? Not overly important to me but curious.
2 more questions -
A: For the navigation menu you have the menu options separated by /
My question is, may that be changed? Do you have other navigation looking buttons and may the text of navigation be bold to stand out?
B: I like the way you have the pictures positioned neatly on the home page, it will be simple to add 1-2 sentences worth of text under each image correct? as a front page description per image
Thanks for prompt response, this is the first theme im looking into buying so brand new to this.
You can have one font for body text, and one font for everything else (headings, widget titles etc…)
A: Not unless you customize them theme files. If you know your way around html/css it should not be hard.
B: This is not possible out of the box, however a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-subtitle/ might work. However we have not tested it’s compatibility with this theme, so I can’t say for sure…
But keep in mind that adding a long description under the titles might cause some issues, since the sizes of the images are fixed, and if you use a lot of text it might overlap…
Thanks!
Isn’t it important to have words on the home page for SEO purposes?
No, that’s not. Here’s a test results from Google’s Rich snippet testing tool – http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=demo.codestag.com%2Fom%2Fblog
Hi, here is a small bug and I see it also on your demo: the homepage latest posts are not clickable on image and on the heading on iPad. Only the category works. This means only the homepage, blog and archives are working fine.
Regards, r.
We are already aware of this and an update is on the way. Thanks.
The fix update has been pushed and should be available anytime soon.
Yes, it works fine now – thank you very much.
Thanks for the patience! Cheers!
Wish the theme supported on option to show Comments count in the blog post meta instead of the category or even have both as an option. Is this doable?
Hello,
Yes, it’s doable, by simply putting the function get_comments_number() in the right place. We could guide you through, if you can open a support ticket after purchase on our support forum.
Thanks.
Great. Thanks guys… Also, can there be an option in the theme to have a the sidebar appear on the homepage and/or blog page. I know it appears on the single post page. I would like to have this option available. Thanks!
Hi there
Nope, unfortunately this is not possible out of the box, you will need to manually customize the theme files in order to achieve this…
Thanks!
Great theme.
Before I purchase: Is it possible to put the header navigation above the logo, and change the font type as well? Couldn’t see that in the sidebar option preview.
Thanks for clarifying!
Hello,
It’s not possible as per the options, but you could simply modify that by moving the code for navigation right above the logo.
For font, you’ll have to change it manually, there is no way of doing it through options.
Let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks
Is it too much to ask where I can do those two things? Just bought the theme and I cannot see where these elements are.
Thanks!
Support for all our themes is conducted at our support desk at http://support.codestag.com, please open a ticket there and we will be with you.
Thanks
Awesome theme! My only concern is the right sidebar grid posts. I’m wondering why the text looks that messed up :/ could it be fixed?
Hi there
Not sure what you mean, but the Recent posts grid widget should only be used as a section widget to the widgetized homepage (or any page), and not to be placed at the sidebar. For sidebar and footer, you should use the default WordPress Recent Posts widgets.
Let me know if you need further clarifications.
I see. I realized that the recent posts widget shown on the demo by default doesn’t show any image thumbnails. I need it to display them, is there any widget that can do that on the right sidebar?
Not built in, you can use a plugin like this one though: http://codest.ag/VHzxcp
hey, interested in purchasing but just a few questions 1. can I post videos? I see in a comment above you said it does not support post not sure what that means and is it that I can only post a vid if its from youtube or somewhere else? 2. Does this theme require any type of coding at all or is it just drag and drop? 3. The live demo gives me several options, do I get to choose from these options after purchase for the different looks? or do I choose only one? Thanks.
sorry last question…is there a limit on how many images can be on the home page?
Hi!
1. Yes you can post videos in the content of the posts. The theme does not support post formats but this does not mean that you cannot embed a video in the body of a post.
2. No coding required, but it is neither drag and drop. You can configure most of the settings through the Live Customizer.
3. All the options will be there after purchase, exactly the same.
4. Sure, you can select the number of posts shown at the homepage.
Hope these help!
yes it did thanks! About to purchase i’m a bit nervous. One last question Is the theme responsive?
sure it is. You can try resizing your browser
well testing it on my mobile…so it’s not responsive then
It surely is responsive. Try removing the envato frame at the top, this should be causing the trouble!
ok. I am just checking its not listed as a feature haven’t purchased just yet.
Purchased. Hope the support team is nice. Thanks
They are
The features say you can change fonts/typefaces with Typekit and Google Webfonts, but does the theme support uploading and using a font that has been licensed somewhere else? For example, as WOFF, EOT, and SVG files?
Could I use this plugin? https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-any-font/Using such a font is not supported out of the box, but it is possible if you do some manual customizations at the site, surely a job for a web developer.
We haven’t tested this plugin, most probably it will work but we cannot guarantee the compatibility.
Thanks!
So the theme CSS is fully customizable outside of the standard built in options?
You can use the Jetpack plugin and activate the Custom CSS module, and write your on CSS to fully customize the styles, and not to worry losing them with a next update.
If you know your way around css, yes, the css is totally customizable.
Thanks!
Great! Thanks for the response.
Yes, I do know my was around CSS so that is good to know.
I just wanted to make sure before purchasing that I could move around some of the elements and change them fully to my liking, while keeping your backend and cms working correctly.
Even for example making the site left-align instead of having it centered with auto margins. I know how to do this with CSS on any other site, so I’m assuming I can easily change this if I install the Jetpack plugin to edit the CSS?
Thanks!
Yes, that’s right.
One more question (sorry!)
Is it possible to place a slideshow of images within a blog post? For example, right now on the demo, a post shows a grid of 4 images, and when you click one, a lightbox comes up to reveal a lightbox slideshow of those 4 images, but is there a way of having just a single image within a post that functions as a slideshow with a series of other images?
Or is this possibly a plugin/widget that could be installed that would work within posts?
Thanks!
Hello,
The lightbox you see on the demo comes from Jetpack plugin, via carousel module and wouldn’t be able to do what you wish to. You could sure use any third-party plugin which adds the same functionality.
i like the style, good job !
Thanks!
The theme is great but is not responsive.
Hi there. Well, It is 100% responsive actually… Can you try to disable the themeforest frame on top?
Thanks!
OK, another thing I forgot in my comment. I’m also curious to know, how to display video and sound posts.
Om does not support post formats, however you can always embedd videos and sounds in the content of sormal posts.
Thanks.
Thank you for this theme! Is it possible to fix the right sidebar in a post?
Hi there! Not sure what you mean to “fix” the sidebar… However, please open a ticket at http://support.codestag.com and we will gladly help you out.
Thanks!
