Hi, I’m not sure you’ve setup theme background image as recommended in Help Guide. It looks the the pages are set with an empty slideshow background script ( without any images ) and a static image has been set using wp-admin background. This is causing jQuery issues.

Could you ensure you’re using theme recommend settings for background image and make sure slideshow background is not set as a choice if it’s not required.

Hi again! I solved the issue myself and wanna share it here cause I think it might be interesting to others. I switched my browser from Safari to Chrome and then it worked. So it seems to be a bug that makes it impossible to use the short code generator in Safari which might be something for you to look into. I also have one more question: is it possible to link the texts on the frontage slideshow (slideshow with captions) to a post or a page? Thanks a lot Anne

There hasn’t been any noted safari issues with shortcode generator. It works fine on my tests. Maybe it’s related to an incompatible plugin somewhere or affected by cache.

You can use HTML links in slideshow captions to link anywhere. Please post to support forum where i can provide you codes. Codes rendered here aren’t always accurate which can lead to syntax errors.

You are right, it is also a possibility, but I did inactivate all my plugins but didn’t think of the cache-possiblility. But its good to know its suppose to work in safari as well. And I got my short codes, that was the most important. Its a great theme, very creative and I really like it. I will post on the support forum cause I would like to have those HTML. link codes. It’s still on my localhost. Using your demo on http://kaleido.imaginemthemes.com/wp/filterable-portfolio/ I want the filter to only show latest 6 items at a time instead of showing all items. Also 6 recent items at a time when filtered by work types. Thank you

Hi, You can create a seperate blog category with news posts added to it. To display a list of blogs in a specific category simply navigate to the category link. You’ll be able to get category links from wp-admin > Category section or using a category widget.
