A bug in the theme import setting forced me to use a different set of settings. Reported this to the support and they just reset the whole site without taking a backup. Suppose I should start again from scratch without the actual issue even being solved?!

As to theme settings import – your case does appear to be really unique, and none of the customers has had an issue like this before. There was no other option except to clear database and reinstall the theme, and your installation looked as clear of any custom changes or content, so there was no obvious reason to back-up the broken installation. Hi once again I’ve bought another GoodDay for one of my customer which wants a web site like your Photo-studio Demo. So I installed it as explained in theme DOCS but somthing is not working I see no images and that’s ok, but I see NO TEXT either! Actually uploading an image as section background I see it but not the text on it …unless I deactivate Animation (as I did in home section) Also there are problems whit icons that do not appear even without animation…

Hi Team! Could you believe it! I’ve loaded the Demo once again (it’s the 3st time!) in order to submit the ticket and …IT WORKS! Same computer, same browser, same hosting server …the only difference is that now it’s raining here!! Amazing! Sorry for annoying with what is now a non problem and thanks anyway

Now I’ve got 3 other questions which I post here ‘cause I think could be of interest for other people too
1) HTML code in main Header
I put some code to have an image on the right of the logo – seems ok when looking from a Computer but it becomes terrifying when looking from tablets or phones …the image and the logo do not reduce size so on tablet I see image above the logo!
Logo is 341 × 145 px

2) Bottom sidebar I’ve got some pages where I do not want to have any bottom sidebar, but it seems not possible! When I do uncheck “bottom sidebar show” option into the layout schedule for that pages …I find myself with a generic bottom sidebar!
3) General Heading and single page Heading Why if I make a change into “general theme Heading option” I do not see it reflected into single existing pages? I had an image as heading background which now I want to change with another one. I changed the image in general setting and gave it an Heading Background Overlay specific Color and Transparency rate … ... and then I had to replay the same change on any single page!

As to changing headings – please note that general settings for heading manage default heading appearance for the newly created pages, while custom settings for each of the pages should be used to manage existing pages and set custom heading appearance.
Regarding the bottom sidebar – in fact not quite sure to understand what exactly you mean, perhaps it would be better for us to see the issue from your end. Please submit us a support ticket so that we could take a look at it – submit a ticket.

GoodDay comes with several icon sets, that provide altogether a rather rich choice, but there is no option now of adding another sets. take a quick look at all the icons variety in a quick video screencast – view video.

Hi again. In fact we would not recommend adding all these icons as th set is really large and it will affect loading speed, but is you submit us a support ticket and manually choose the needed icons (see instruction below), we will be able to help you add them to your admin panel.

Hi, first congrats on a very nice looking and flexible theme. I have some questions that I need answered prior to purchasing it:
1) Can the symbols (circles) that are displayed on top of every blog entry (masonry view) and in front of title (on single blog post page) be removed? And if yes, can it be done without altering the CSS?
2) The share icons that are displayed at the end of every post are standard ones, and I saw you answered someone else that these are not customizable in this theme. Will there be an option to change these to better looking icons in future updates? I know it can be done and have seen it in other themes. Alternatively, could you at least offer the option of displaying text (i.e. “twitter” etc) instead of the ugly buttons? 3) How customizable is the blog overview (masonry) page? As to your the circles – we will be able to provide you with a custom css for this, you will simply paste it in the custom css field in the theme admin panel, it will be saved even after you update the theme.
Regarding the sharing icons – in fact in the given example the sharing links do not seem to function is a usual way, instead of opening a small pop-up window they are text links that link to another page. There is no option to change these icons n GoodDay theme.
As to the blog view – there is an option for a blog shortcode to disable all posts meta, so you will have only images and titles.

I really like your wedding version of this but the only thing thats stopping me is the fact that you dont have a rsvp date on there, other themes have this as standard…will you be adding this in the future?

But, how do you enable captions on a Gallery (content composer)? All of the images in my gallery have captions, but they’re not showing up below the thumbnails or in the Lightbox view.
Update: I can use the standard Wordpress Media Gallery shortcode, and it works – captions show up under the thumbnails and the lightbox view.

As to captions in a Gallery shortcode – in fact there was no option to show caption in this shortcode initially, but right now we are preparing a theme update that will add many features to composer shortcodes, and this one will be among them. Just please allow us some time to finish the needed changes and tests and upload an update.

I love your theme GoodDay, is super flexible and has a lot of options, but I just wish to ask… Why is it the logo on top won’t appear? I have the latest version (1.1.3), however it appears on mobile devices just fine. I wish to know of any professional solution, before messing around with the CSS/HTML and lose some detail.

Hi, I just submitted a support ticket and am just covering my bases and posting here as well- I successfully installed the theme and plugins yesterday and all was working well. This morning I went to login and I receive this error:

Of course, you just need to install the theme on your server and then you can log in to your dashboard to apply the needed changes from two computers. Just make sure you are not editing the same pages or settings at the same time.

Hi I just installed this theme with a bit of difficulty:
Installing it with the WordPress interface always yielded an error, and one online answer said it was version incompatibility, and it sure turned out it was for WordPress 3.9 and 3.8 even though the latest version was 3.9.2.
I tried installing with WordPress 3.9 though and it still didn’t work.
I then tried manually uploading it to the themes folder. which DID work.
My only issue now is that WordPress constantly tells me to upgrade to 3.9.2 and I’m worried that if I do it will render my theme incompatible.
BUT, my other worry is that it didn’t work uploading with WP interface on BOTH 3.9.2 AND 3.9, so it MIGHT not be an incompatibility issue, it might have just been that I needed to manually upload it to the themes folder. And if this is the case then it will still work when updating WordPress.
But I don’t know and that’s the issue, please help. Thanks.

In fact most likely none of the issues you had is connected to Wordpress version as the theme s fully compatible to all the latest wp versions including 3.9.2. Just note that Themeforest product fields list only major versions like 3.9 etc, and there is no option to specify versions like 3.9.2.
Yet, as per instruction in theme documentation, in order to install the theme via wordpress admin, you needed to add some code to your .htaccess file. Please make sure you take a look at theme documentation – you can find it in the DOCS folder in the archive you have downloaded from themeforest, open index.html file in your browser.
As to theme updates – the best way is to upload the needed files to your server, all the files are listed in the readme file. Yet, should you still need any help, feel free to contact our support – contact support.

Hi well the problem seems to have spontaneously resolved itself as it updated to 3.9.2 again without me knowing and the theme still worked, but thank you for the support.

Excellent theme and very nice design as always. Just a few questions before purchasing. 1. Is it possible to remove the 3D effect for the buttons, in fact for all the buttons and the submit button for the contact form too ? Is there an option or may be i need to add some code ? 2. When pages are loading, there is a effect, is it possible to remove it ? 3. Regarding the menu when viewing with a smartphone, is it possible to remove the 3D effect we can see at the top of the pages ? 4. Is it possible to remove the search element in the general menu ? All the animation effects for elements are set when adding these elements and can be removed easily.
As to the search – it can be easily enabled/disabled in theme settings.

Ok, thanks but concerning my question 2 above, i did not speak about the animation effects for the elements in the pages. In fact i speak about the percentage we can see before your demo homepage. Can you confirm that there is an option to remove this percentage ? I would like some direct transitions between the pages without effect. Thank you
