I am VERY interested in purchasing this theme, what are the chances of adding a section within the listing that allows a user to offer discounts to website visitors ?

I am not sure if I understood your question or not.
do you mean a user is a lister of items (shops / listings)? and they add some discount information?
ex) javo coffee shop and I post a discount information such as 50% off before 10AM.
Yes we have event session. our buyers are also talking about 1 more tabs like event as a suggestion.

Brilliant, I was also looking to see if the theme would allow 2 types of users.
1: Businesses: this will let them list shops and events 2: End User: This will let website users register with their details to see certain pages. i.e Discount pages, and even contact the businesses.
Yes that’s it, the theme will be used for students so I want shops to offer students discounts. But as to my last message above I would also like it so that the student (end user) would have to register.
We currently have 1 type. this is also a request from users. the reason is that.. everybody is allowed to add items as long as they have a permission ( free or paid) and we will add claim option. (not very soon. so busy now : we have assign option now) then they can claim. let’s say.. I really love coffees.. and I can post 10 best best coffee shops as my favorites. and It can be claimed by the real owner. we think it’s good to have more shops / items and give users more free to use.

Ok, can the theme do the following?
1: Stop users adding duplicate shops ? 2: When users add a shop can I authorise it before it’s added to the site ? 3: Can you customise the registration form to add things like mobile number, address. ?
1. No we don’t have. 2. we have an option for it. all pending new posts. 3. If other buyers want to add them on our suggestion forum. then we work on it.

There is an option to hold all of new posts are “pending” for review. It is abled on demo site

Hi Guys, nice theme looks very promissing, have a few quick questions:
1) is there anywhere a way to set a background picture behind the content below map..? that would be nice..
that would allow to customize better the theme and every portal would look different…
2) Also is there a limit on Categories or Subacategories..?
3) with how many Listings have you tested the theme..?
and how many lixtings do you think it can handle.. ? I know WP has a limit. does not matter of Server capacity.. just an approx.
4) Is there a way to have 4 columns below map.. since a Directory will have a lot of locations or categories, and the more columns you can fit in a row, less scroling down will be necessary..
5) is there a way to disable the serch funcionality (Views) try to keep it simple…
seems like all the Directories are working with 3 columns.. any reason for that,.. ?
I am working so far with another theme. and I am very please with it.. but might do a new project for a client..so considdering options..

1. background on maps? I have never seen it. do you have any sample?
2. there is no limited and we found some buyers have many categories and working on that issue to solve. maybe ajax
3. we didn’t have much time for it. around 500 items. but we have categories and it goes with it. I think it should be ok with many items.
it does matter with server side. you need good one for many items.
4. we can add later but not now. you can post it on our suggestion forum
5. Not now. but you can have a simple css codes and add on custom css. ex) .view-bottons {display:none;}
6. Not really. we planed add more but we didn’t have enough time.

Hi javothemes, thanks for your quick reply..there is no reason to apologize… I am sure you are bussy with your updates.. 1) when I am talking about Background. I mean…...Map should be on Top as you have it but below where contet is.. would be stunning if this area as it is boxed (WP standard) , will have the option to set outside a Background, a picture o color… most WP themes offer these options.. But none of the existing Directory Portals does it.. And I know at least 6 of the most used ones. since I am working with one of the Top theme for more than a Year.. thanks again for your time and good luck

This is going be not easy work. you have to create 1 more post type and all of taxonomies. and create same files but different post-type, taxonomies. it’s not like simple duplication. if you need this feature, please add on suggestion forum. we may have a look and if others also want, we will work on it. (or when we have time)

I would like my site to have some social network attributes with high interaction between the members. Do you see any reason why, this plugin

I especialy want to be able for each “listing” posted to see on the listing page, the author of the listing with a link to an extended profil of the author.
Something really could, would be to see on the user profile, a map showing the listing posted by the user – some other listing or real estate have this feature for example, it is really cool.
I have seen that in your other theme, you have “Agent profile”, could we have something similar here?
Are you maybe considering integrating buddy Press?
About the location, does the site work only with one City? I don’t like the idea of giving a fixed location on every listing, if I have listing in hundreds of location, how will it looks like? Is it possible to search by zip code or city name? Do you think there is a solution in your template to manage many location?

No, I mean can map points be added using data from a server (in this case generated by an app but it could be another web site or anything).
For example, someone has an app that, say, allows them to mark points of interest on a map. The app feeds the data to the server. Can this theme then generate a map point using that data? Or does it need to be entered manually?

No, that’s not what I’m asking. Okay, forget the app part. I just want to know if a map point can be generated from data from a server or if I have to enter it myself.
Basically, can the map points shown in theme theme be generated by an xml file or something?
umm.. I don’t think it’s possible as long as you don’t have the coords (map points) on wordpress data.

Sorry, maybe I’m not being clear enough. Here’s an example:
Say I have a website that uses this theme. I want to be able to mark a map point using my phone (Google maps, a custom app, whatever) and have that new map point I just created populate into the website.
All I’m asking is if the theme can take that new map point data from my server and turn it into a map point on the site using the theme.
It’s definitely possible, I was just wondering if the theme accepted the data or I had to make a custom solution.

Actually instead of a scrollbar/drop down in search fields why not make it live ajax search. Much more user friendly than drop downs in my opinion. For instance I have 35 categories connected to 200+ sub-categories plus geo-tagged locations for 900+ companies in my directory.

Oh. we can make a page like this. we have a very similar filtering page like this with ajax. click or check ==> filter / sort. and show results. design looks almost same.
not this theme. another theme which is not in public. it’s really easy to use for users.

About the “future” scroll bar, and considering what the user ‘AloisFN’ said below (ajax search), the best option, in my opinion, perhaps is offer both options to choose (maybe “disable on / off” at dashboard”). It would be good to keep the dropdown, so users can literally “see” the categories.

I must say it's an amazing theme and i am really interested in it. I was just thinking if there is any way i can make this theme used for a listing directory without maps as i will be using it for software reviews..And as there anyway i can make a page for categories to list all the categories and sub categories in an order on a page.
How to remove the location from the search and listing fields.
Will i be able to do all that in this theme or i should wait for you to make it more customizible.

Well, what I seek is what the theme Glocal already does, it allows stores plus events and publish posts, but also products. And with the WooCommerce plugin multivendor may have individual stores.

Great update on the application! I noticed that the “Item Listing Filter (only for item listing pages)” is not working. When I select “Filtering 1” or “Filtering 2” and using a Item of either Category or Location nothing happens, no drop down of the particular categories or locations I have chosen appears. great what you’ve changed. but there are two new problems
1: user can not edit his profile (Page Not Found 400)! 2: favicon appears only on the home page (in Safari and Firefox did not)
The problems are new and directly Occurred after updating. I think that has to do with the role of something. WordPress role is Subscriber
