I am considering to purchase this theme, and will appreciate a few clarifications:
1. Can the slider be used both in the home page and in a second page, with different content?
2. Can the color of the widget boxes (frames) be custom colored (to match a brand)?
3. How can one add social network logos?

1. By default no, you would need to hire a developer to make a couple of adjustments and modifications to achieve this.
2. Yes, the theme comes with all psd used and a widget box model psd too in order to easily change to colors and export the new images.
3. Again, you would need someone to make modifications to the theme files to have those, depending where you want them to show up. I plan on adding those to the footer area myself in a future update – back when I designed this theme in winter 2009 having social icons was not something usual to a business theme, that’s why I didn’t add any for this theme.
Hi I would like to use the toggle code on the homepage but when I try to do so it does not work – is there any way I can do this so it renders correctly. i.e.[toggle title=”Title”]Insert your text here[/toggle] simply displays the code and not the desired effect. Thanks

I am also experiencing this problem with my Innova Construct Blog Panel. And a couple of times it has reset completely the entire Construct Panel settings for all sections.

Regarding the checkbox bug, I would need you to tell what exactly you’ve done so I can reproduce the bug – to me the checkboxes work fine, I’ve tested them extensively before releasing the theme. Also, it would be nice if you could give access to your wordpress installation so I can see exactly what settings you use(vie email).
About completely resetting the panel, this issue has been reported before – I know it occurs when you update LINK settings in wordpress. If you’ve experienced this bug when configuring something else, please let me know. I am currently working to fix this bug and release an update as soon as possible. And if you encounter other bugs, please keep them coming so I can fix them.
Hi, Is it possible to chance the permalink structure to / postname / when using this theme. I have tried doing this but it results in 404 errors on pages. I am currently using a test site so I can be sure this would happen on a live site. Can you advise if there is an issue with this theme using a custom permalink structure. Thanks
On localhost these won’t work. Test it directly on your server. Most hosts nowadays have mod_rewrite so it should work fine.
i am a fairly good word press site designer. but i have spent past 3 hours trying to get homepage slider to work. i have read documentation many times. getting 404 error.

LOVE the design, but so far, i am stumped. i may take the loss, and purchase another theme.

Yes, please drop me an email via profile contact form here on themeforest with your user / pass to your installation. Also, make sure you have full rights(777) on your server because the errors you describe seem to be related to this.
I’ve tested quite a lot those checkboxes in the blog panel and they do work properly, both on my server and on my machine. You can also test if they work on a local installation. But it’s also possible to be a bug somewhere in my panel, that’s why I would like to check it out on your server.

No, you were correct. If you don’t put a title in the widget title box, that is what does it. I changed it and problem was solved. thanks again and sorry!

I’m sorry I was rude. I was simply looking for an answer to what I thought was a reasonable question and felt as though I was being attacked personally. As I said previously, I didn’t alter any files, and the problem occurs even with a blank text box, so I thought the problem had to be native to the theme. I’m sorry that I responded as I did, but after looking unsuccessfully for more than an hour, you can surely understand that I was frustrated.
That said, would you mind taking another look and seeing what I did wrong?
Those were attempts to fix the errors I was getting from the text widget. I don’t seem to have the problem with any other widget, but dragging and dropping a text widget in messes up the formatting every time, even if the text is blank. I didn’t edit any other theme files. I merely tried to add a text widget.
I’m just asking you to take a look at what might be the problem that I am having, not give me rudeness and attitude. Your customer support leaves much to be desired. I’ll stick to using Elegant Themes from now on. Those guys are very helpful. Apparently that isn’t typical in the theme world. You have a nice theme, but in the business world, when you treat customers in this manner, you don’t get very far.
Others looking to purchase this theme, beware. Ask this guy a question and he tries to belittle you and tell you how inept you are rather than helping you find a solution. FAIL .
You broke the theme by messing with the code. Text widgets work fine, ask other clients that bought the theme.
I told you to give the user / pass to your admin so I can take a look at your problem.
Yet you started to just claim the theme is broken. I can’t help you in any way if you have such an attitude.
No, it happens even if I put a blank text widget there. I found a work around, but it is still putting a box border at the bottom, so I think there is an issue with the widgetized area. The only widgets that work are the ones that came with the theme, which kind of stinks. Any non-theme widget of any sort that I have tried to install screwed up the page formatting.
I took a closer look at your site. It happens because you tried to customize it and you broke the outputted html code. Why you have twice at the end of each widget box ? Why you have ’, before each widget box ? What I do see you tried to do, was to take the widget title and insert it within the widget box. The widgets work properly out of box in the way I delivered the theme to themeforest staff for approval. And I tested most(if not all) the default widgets that exist in wordress and they work just fine. After more than 100 sales in less than 1 month, I suppose that at least 100 angry buyers would have already complained to me if there were such bugs in the theme.
Also, I am not saying that what you try to achieve it’s impossible(to have the widget title inside the box), you just have to be careful when changing that code.
And you have difficulties to repair the widgets the way they were before you edited the code, you can always redownload the theme, compare the original files with your files and easily fix them.
I have an issue any time I try to add a text widget with html in it. The bottom of the site shifts left, which leads me to believe there is a div bug in there somewhere but I can’t find it. Can you help? My site is publicimagecom.com
The code you are inserting in the widget is probably incorrect(you forgot to close a div or something else I suppose). You can drop me an email with your user / pass to your wordpress installation so I can have a closer look at it.

I have tried using Chrome (Mac) and Firefox (Mac). If I make a change to the ‘Portfolio’ area, for example, I select my ‘Portfolio v2 categories’ selection so that it looks like this:

Indeed there seems to be a strange bug within my custom admin panel. The ampersand symbol (&) break the settings. What you can do until I find the problem and address it, is to just name your category Case Studies and Projects, instead of Case Studies & Projects.
I apologize for this strange bug, I will start digging for a fix as soon as possible.

hello, i like your theme and im currently in need of several v2portfolio types, since there is a v1 and a v2 (i only like the style for the v2) can i add a v3 and v4 portfolio ? because if i use v2 for my pages they can only be used for one catergory and i have several. any suggestions? thanks

I’m afraid this is not possible. The theme doesn’t support multiple portfolios with the same layout, unfortunately
