Hi, when using video backgrounds in the fusion slider, the video does not play on mobile devices or tablets, I have tried using both iPhone and iPad. Is there a way to get video to play also on these devices? Video on phones might be a bit excessive imo, however on tablets it would look very nice.

Yes that is true, self hosted videos are not supported on mobile devices at this time. That is true for any theme, hopefully soon the software will support it for mobile devices. That is true for tablets also.

Hi! We are about to choose this theme as our customer need functions for One-Page, parallax, different sizes in Portfolio-view, Revolution or Layer Slider. We have 2 questione before purchase is that we could not find in searching Comments.

1. Is it possible to create a One-Page site in this theme?

2. Can a singel portfoliopost show up on the same page as the portfoliogrid? Many themes support this. Our customer want all things to happen on the same page. We thought of having portfoliogrid in middle of OnePage-website, and when you click on portfolio-thumbnail we want the page to open up so that the singel project shows either over or under the portfoliogrid…

Any page you make can be a one page, we have a memnu anchor element to create the menu and in our page options you can assign a custom menu per page.

2. Hmmm, you can insert the recent work shortcode on any page, so you can put that in the post content area of the portfolio single post page, but it will show below the featured image area.

Hello, I am having some problems with my portfolio. I don’t want people to see the single page just the image gallery.

You said to somebody: “You can use the portfolio feature for galleries if you wish, and disable the single post page…”

But how do you disable the single post page?

Page builder is coming in about 2 weeks, probably less. There is not a built in zoom feature, however there are several plugins that you can choose to use for that feature that work with Woo products.

That’s a hard question to answer :) We’ve put a lot of time, energy and resources into our Fusion Builder and we are very happy with it. We will also be continually adding new features to it overtime. VC has been out for years in that aspect.

Google “woocommerce product zoom plugins” and you’ll see others as well. There are various ones with different features.

Yes it does, you can use google fonts or standard system fonts throughout the theme, or you can upload a custom font.

We are all on WP 4.0 and everything is ok. Its possible the update did not work properly, or you may have a 3rd party plugin that is causing this. Can you try to disable the extra plugins?

If the issue persists, can you post a topic on our forum with your login info so we can check out your setup?

Hi, I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to change the number of product columns on woocommerce shop pages or product archive pages. After some searching, it seams like there is no easy way of doing it right now, but I read that this may be available in the next update (3.6). I’m curious to know if this is true and when the update will be available, or if you know of any other solutions.

The new update is only about 10 days away and those new features work beautifully. It is very involved to achieve that with code so that is not something we can walk you through, but the new version has it all setup in easy to use options. Two clicks and you’ll have any column size we support, 1-6.

Hi, I have purchased and install avada theme. but I have an error alert when I acitvate the theme with wordpress. you can see the message below. please help me with this issue.

Will Avada theme handle this well?

I will make a backup first, but just want to see if anyone has had any issues after updating WP.

Our initial tests show that 3.5.3 is compatible with WordPress 4. :)

Hello, I just tried upgrading an old version of Revolution Slider due to it’s vulnerability issue. http://blog.sucuri.net/2014/09/slider-revolution-plugin-critical-vulnerability-being-exploited.html Sadly in the process it seemed to destroy the Revolution Slider in the process, so I am forced to use another slider at the moment. Can you please tell me the best way to reinstall the Revolution Slider and does this require a full theme update also. I am using this for a few clients now and plan using it for several more, so I just want to get it right. Thanks, Derek

If using it with Avada, you need to update the theme and then you will be prompted to update the slider plugin.

Also, Avada v3.4 and higher are all safe (released 6-7 months ago) so most likely you were ok to begin with unless you were running a much older version.

When you updated, did you delete the old Revolution Slider plugin? If so, that will also delete your rev sliders. First, export them from the rev slider area so you can reimport once its updated. But typically, to update a plugin that is included with a theme, you should first update the theme. If not, then update the plugin via FTP and only “replace” the plugin folder, do not delete it unless you have exported your files.

Hello, we purchased the Avada theme and we need a method of uploading new icons for the content boxes instead of the integrated font awesome icons. can you please provide instructions on how to upload new icons?? We need this ASAP!

You can use a custom image icon for that, simply do not insert the font awesome icons name, and instead insert a image URL in the image= field. Use the shortcode generator to see, select content boxes and use an image instead of icon.

Hi, I have just downloaded and activated a “new” version of Avada theme and I expected to see 3.5.3 version. Instead, it shows that I have 3.4.3 version. Did I do anything wrong? How do I make sure I have the latest theme? Thanks!

Yeah something went wrong. Download the latest files from Themeforest again and reinstall.

Once you are on v3.5 or higher, you can use our auto-updater.

My problem with Avada support, is that there is not a ticket system or someone to call. The theme itself is fine, however don’t bother trying to update the theme.

You have to ftp everything to your server to do updates. Doing that makes you loose your widgets placements and other things. In the end I have to give up on updating Avada. They don’t even offer to help you psychically, they send you to another site who charges an arm and a leg to psychically fix your problem.

The big problem is the update system on Avada. Other themes I get from Wordpress sites are very easy to update. I”m very disappointed.

I’m sorry you feel this way but what you are saying is not correct.

First off, you do not have to FTP updates, there is an auto-updater with the theme and it is all handled through WP admin. http://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/install-update/how-to-update-theme/

Secondly, we have an entire support forum setup for our users, and we answer each and every support thread that is made. And no, we do not send you to another site for this kind of thing. We offer users a 3rd party company for any customizations that fall outside of our support level.

We will not update your files for you, that is not included in support. If we did that for all our users we would be out of business quickly. Please keep in mind that you are not paying for support, you bought a $58 theme and are getting free support that we offer. We ourselves pay a team of 8 people for our user base to answer each and every question that comes out.

However we will absolutely help with an update if you are having issues with it. I looked up your forum account and you have one thread open from months ago about this, and we replied and gave you the correct answers.

Based off what happened, you did not update properly or follow our guidelines. That is not the themes fault. You cannot rename theme folders or put more than one copy on your server. All of this info is in our docs and update guide. And our support staff replied to you with that exact information also.

You asked if we offered update services, and we told you no we did not. However we will assist if you run into any issues. We explained why you had those issues when updating, we offered you the correct solution.

My version didn’t have that automatic update like 3.5 has. I also can’t update the way you want. That would make my site go offline which is not possible at my work. I was very lucky to have backed up all my files, when I did update it was a disaster. I can only say from my experience. This happened months ago and it still bugs me a little. I had support, but I feel I didn’t have great support.

You are missing the point. The reason why you had update issues is because you did not update properly. That is clearly listed in the thread you created.

Again, we list all this information in our update guide and important update information. There is not much else we can do. And our support team explained to you what was the issue and gave you clear instructions on how to do it. I have no idea how that is bad support because it’s not.

For the auto updater, it was added in v3.5 or higher. All you need to do is update (follow the correct steps) and you will get it. From that point on, it is all done through Wordpress.

Also, you do not have to FTP the upload either, even now. You can update it through WP, that information is also in our update guide.

If you choose to update, post on our forum if you have an issue. I can assure you, it is not from the theme.

How do you change the logo size?

I can only see options for “Standard Logo Width for Retina Logo” and “Standard Logo Height for Retina Logo” I edit these and nothing happens.

I’ve made sure to add a Retina Logo, but still nothing.

Please advise?

The logo size is what you upload the logo to be. There are not settings to increase the logo size, it pulls the image size from the file itself.

Hi,
icons are not showing (e.g. social icons, search, pref/next icons) in IE, Firefox and Chrome. They are displayed in Safari, instead. What is the problem with this?

I tried to add the code in .htaccess file and I got an Internal error. I don’t understand what does the first solution mean. Could you explain it in other worlds, or through a procedure? Thanks
