Hi, have purchased it and can’t stress how awesome it is. Just one thing, what’s the ETA for a WP 4 release? I know that Visual Composer is also not WP 4 compatible yet. Is that something that may stall the next release?
I installed the current version onto WP 4 and VC did not come up t all. Only Page Composer.

Thank you for your kind words. Page Composer is a modified version of Visual Composer and upon testing on Wordpress 4 we don’t see any problem regarding that. If you see a bug or something I will appreciate for your contribution by opening a ticket in our support system and describe the details.

Thank you for your kind words. Animated gifs is a feature regarding the browser to support and has nothing to do with the theme. If your browser supports animated gif then our theme supports that too. (Pretty much all modern browsers support animated gifs).

What’s the optimum sizing for the page title background image? And if I load this, I can override it on the individual page/post correct?

Try to have a wide and short image something lie 1500×250. And yes you can override this by enabling custom settings under Ken Styling Options inside the page, then you need to add your image into Page Title section of Background and Styling option.

I’ve been enjoying the heck out of The Ken theme. I do have one question regarding the search function. What would be involved in migrating the cosmetic side of the search function from Jupiter to the Ken? I’d prefer to not have the whole navigation container be the search bar and more so just a more normal search box?

Unfortunately that is not possible as we use iLightbox plugin for our lightboxes and it has some fixed functionalities that we can not change.

In the demo page of iLightbox plugin it says it supports “inline galleries”, which is, if I understood correctly, what I’m looking for??
such a link to inline lightbox could be put on an image, couldn’t it?

Actually all different aspects are at your hand and you can easily change things around. We specially have options for dark and light backgrounds regarding different sections of slider. I think watching video tutorials will help you grasp a better understanding of options for dark/light style:
