Its sad not having buddypress skin with this theme. Default buddypress skins make the avada theme look out of place and the other way around, i have read on the comments you have plans for making buddypress integration ( skin ) but when? its been over a year since those comments had been answered with ” somewhere in the future” 2020? lol

The theme is great but for my project i need buddypress so idk, i guess i will have to wait for you guys.

Hey!

unfortunately we cannot give you a date for a feature like that until it is in development. Currently it is not a highly requested feature which is why it has not been added. We certainly will add it at some point, that much is true.

We’ll get it in there as soon as we can. Each major update we do has 10-15+ new features which is a lot. 95% of those are the most requested ones too.

May I suggest you add this to our new ideas section of our support site? Each idea that is submitted can be voted on by other users. This allows our team to have a list of the most popular requests for future development. We value everyone’s opinion and continue to improve Avada with your help!

Thank you for choosing Avada!

Took the update and now i’m having a little problem with the site…. The Fusion options are taking me to error pages when I try to click on all the option, also my menu bar doesn’t scroll along with the pages anymore.

Seeking some help

Hey!

That is just browser cache, make sure to clear it out. See #2 in our important update information guide: http://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/install-update/important-update-information/

Make sure you have sticky header option selected in theme options. This is most likely cache also.

Does Avada: Support RTL languages (does it have RTL.css file) by default, if not are you going to consider that soon? (When?)

Yes it already does! Any language that is RTL will utilize the RTL capabilities.

Hello,

Thanks as always for the great support answering questions. Am totally new to this so having great support affects my decision.

Pre sale questions: I tried to read as many Avada reviews as possible on the internet, the vast majority suggests that this is the way to go for what I need to accomplish.

There are however one or two reviews that raise the issue about coding practice for Avada which may affect a couple things.

1) SEO – SEO is my #1 concern, I understand we need to get a SEO plug in, no problem with that. But I am concerned about load time as some reviews suggest that Avada is too heavily scripted and may compromise load time of the page,

So my question is whether there is a way to DISABLE all the shortcodes or any other scripts that come built-in with Avada but I do not need for my site? Can I go through one short code at a time and disable each one so that they are not loading on the browser?

2) Customization or changing the code using my own programmer – I know down the road I may need to hire a programmer to customize the site for me which may require changing the code here and there. Some reviews mention that this will be very challenging because Avada is so heavily scripted throughout and it will take a long time for the programmer to make any changes to existing code and to ensure that the changes will not create any conflicts with the countless existing codes that come built-in throughout the theme.

Can you give me some feedback on my two concerns above?

Specifically, my concerns came from reading this review on another site, it says:

Quote:

“There are too much script generated inline CSS and Javascript in the page layout. And some CSS code abuses !important feature so that it is very difficult to customize HTML elements sometimes by using more !important to overwrite other predefined CSS; thus, the CSS rendering already generates some performance issue. There are tons of Javascript linked code, and not all of them are used in pages but are included anyways. So it may result more serious page rendering performance problem and make page not SEO friendly…...To do a bit more work on theme customization, I need to apply more CSS overwrite code and may need to update its original source code. And I do not feel comfortable for doing so…. Avada Theme is too heavily loaded with inline CSS and Javascript; and it is very difficult to do more advanced customization besides its own front-end settings.”

Hey!

Please don’t believe everything that you read, most of that is untrue. Basically that last quote is partially untrue, and the part that is true was based off a very old version of Avada that had a few more !important tags then were needed. Doesn’t matter when the review was posted, what matters is what version of Avada they were testing. And you can customize Avada to your hearts content as thousands of user already have.

1. SEO is not a concern, page loading times are going to be mainly compose of your own content. As you can see from our demo, that is not an issue at all and we use all features.

And you can disable features and scripts if you are not using them.

2. This is also completely not true, it si not heavily scripted at all.

That review/quote is not even true, or its very very old. There is no use of !important tags as it use to be back in v1 or v2 over a tear ago. Those have been removed and only a few remain where they are suppose to be use. Using !importnat tags are used for a reason, that is why they exist in the first place. It is bad to use too many of them yes, but Avada certainly does not do that.

The message about JS being included even on pages it is not used is purely 100% from the Revolution Slider and Layer Slider. Not our theme at all. Those are premium plugins that 90% of popular themes use, it is how the plugin were built and have to run. You do not have to use them if that is a concern, but isn reality it is not a concern, we use both of them on our demo and it is not an issue.

And you or any other user or developer who knows how to code will be able to customize Avada in any way shape or form. That statement is honestly absurd because this is the single most customized theme out there. Here is just a small collection of user sites that have customized Avada anyway they like: http://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/avada-showcase-sites/

Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to me, and appreciate that you pointed out that Revolution Slider may compromise the site’s performance. I am never a big fan of sliders anyway as I think it has been over-used by everybody out there, so I will not use that plug in for sure.

I purchased X theme already, not happy with it so I will very likely purchase Avada, but need to know/learn more before i pull the trigger.

I hope for future upgrades, you can include more options for the users to disable features/scripts that are not needed so that it will not make the site bloated with codes and affect SEO in any way.

I know it is hard to please everybody, you have already done a fantastic job, trying to incorporate as many features as possible, but please keep in mind that in the end SEO is the most important, what s the point in having a great website when nobody can find you on google.

BTW, I hope you will produce more tutorial videos as they are extremely helpful for newbies like myself to learn and make a decision. For example, a tutorial for MEGA MENU would be great.

Thanks !

Hey!

Yeah any slider or extra plugin you use can compromise site performance. Some more than others too. We know what you mean about sliders, at the same time though they serve a good purpose.

I hope for future upgrades, you can include more options for the users to disable features/scripts that are not needed so that it will not make the site bloated with codes and affect SEO in any way.
We already do this, we have an entire “advanced” tab in theme options that allows you to disable scripts or features.

However, this type of things absolutely does not affect SEO. That is a common misconception :) Be careful what you read online about SEO, the vast majority of it is incorrect.

We have docs for everything just about, only some have videos but we add more constantly. Megamenu has a full writeup in our docs for how to set it up, its actually very easy.

Thanks again!

is it possible to have the header full width? (logo and nav all the way from left to right) thanks

Hey!

Yes with the new site width option in v3.6. It will d it for all site content though, not only the header. However, we are discussing adding individual options just for the header and footer to be controlled independently of the overall site width control.

Thanks!

Hi again!

Is there a way to disable the social links in the top navigation menu of the header, for only one page?

If you wouldn’t mind sparing that code, i’d appreciate it :)

Yes it can be done with custom CSS and targeting that one page id#. Signup and post on our forum and include the page url you want to exclude it from and we’ll try to supply the code.

Thanks!

Hey,

I try get 2 sidebars on my home, but it isn’t working. Under the tab ‘sidebars’ I selected 2 different sidebars with widgets in both but when I publish my page, I only see 1 sidebar. I use ‘standard template’ is that okay?

please help me.

Jerôme

I fixed it. It works. I didn’t add content to my page. But when 1 added 1 character, the second sidebar was visible

Hmm interesting, we will check into that to see if that should happen or not.

Hi I am having a bit of issue,

I have a four column footer, but on the home page they seem to be a bit squashed, but on all the other pages they are ok, Can you have a look please? http://www.pureecosolutions.co.uk

Hey!

Can you try to disable any 3rd party plugins you have running? And also check your custom CSS if any is added and/or child theme?

Hey,

how to set up a page with dual sidebars?

thanks for helping

I tried to create one and selected dual sidebars but now I see only one sidebar on my screen.

Hey!

Check out our docs here, http://theme-fusion.com/support/documentation/avada-documentation/#page-item-80364

Basically you simply need to select a sidebar 1 and a sidebar 2. As long as the sidebars you select have widgets applied, then they will show. Also, if using a side navigation page, one of the sidebars will be below the side navigation set.

If you have further questions or need assistance with that, signup and post on our support forum and our support team will take good care of you.

Hello Super theme. I have a problem: How can I make the entire theme 1 column?

Thanks for help

Hey!

Just make sure you are not using any sidebars. Each page or post can be full width so you will need to make sure you set it up that way. Blog post can all be set in theme options > blog, “set all post to full width”. Other pages and posts have to be edited and sidebar removed.

If you have further questions or need assistance with that, signup and post on our support forum and our support team will take good care of you. hi there, I have purchased your theme, but I am having so much difficulty :( I have tried to ask in your support forum, but I get very vague answers and some of my questions are just ignored, Please is it possible you could help me with my issues? Could i send a direct mail or something? I am very dissapointed after buying this theme to see its not working and the support is not helping me :(

Hey :)

I’m sorry to hear this, we take support very seriously and all support is handled on our forum.

I checked your forum account and you have one thread you created and sufficent answers were given, although I do see some question were missed. Our apologies. If that happens simply reply back and say it was looked over, we will reply again.

You gave a new response with 5 more questions and we have simply not arrived to yet by our team. We answer threads from oldest to newest based on last reply, so when you give a new reply it gets pushed back into the que and we answer it in the correct order it was received. That is fair to everyone.

Also a note, we strive to only get 1-2 questions per thread. When several are posted in one thread, it gets very confusing very quickly. And it also easy for our support staff to miss the questions because there are so many. We will reply to the 5 questions you gave in this last post, but please in the future only include 1-2 original questions in your thread. Once those are answered, you need to open a new thread.

Also, I took a quick look and the majority of what you are asking is found in our docs. I will reply and give you the links in a bit.

Please follow up in the thread and when you give a reply, please be patient and wait for ours to come back.

Thanks!

I replied to all questions and gave you links to the places in our docs.

Thanks, open up a new thread if you have further questions.

Thanks!

Hi, May I know is that easy to integrate other e-commerce such as prestashop/ opencart/ magento into the theme? and future update will be an issue? THANKS

Hey!

Unfortunately we cannot give an answer on this as we have never tried. I have seen users use WP eCommerce plugin, and Cart66 but not the others you listed. It also will depend on how deep you want the integration to go, design styles, etc.

Thanks!

Hi! I am using Avada theme for a client and having issues with the testimonials slider + blog excerpts. For the testimonials, I followed the shortcode but instead of sliding, they are showing up individually.

Also, I have blog excerpts on home page but they are showing up with bullet points. Any way to remove that? If you could please help me out with these two issues, I’d very much appreciate it!

Thanks! :)

Hey!

Hmm this is not reproducible on our end so is hard to say without seeing the site and being able to login. Can you please get the purchase code from the client and signup at our support forum so we can take a look.

Hello folks :-)! If you updated to Avada v3.6 and notice your pages/posts now have a sidebar added to them, here’s a video explaining how to remove the sidebar on ALL pages/posts at one time: http://www.screencast.com/t/nh5ijvRAIH

Thanks Hassan! Great addition man :D Gotta love that custom bulk field editor!

You’re welcome Luke! I know it will help a lot of people with less experience :-)!

Thank you kindly :)

Hi,

I have two pre sale questions:

1. Is it possible to use the portfolio column grid layout with blog posts?

2. Is it possible to turn responsive layout off so that the homepage does not change format for mobile devices?

Thanks,

Gregory

Hey!

1. Hmmm no, but the blog has a grid layout also, its just a bit different due to the post being different.

2. Yes responsiveness can be turned on or off, it is a global setting that will affect all pages.

Thanks!

Hi again, Avada!

Loving this theme and learning as I go.

I want to retain a boxed layout, but I’m trying to figure out why your demo’s boxed layout looks so much larger (wider) than mine. What’s the catch there? Am I missing a setting? Are your pages (esp home) larger than 940 px?

Thanks

Hey!

In v3.6 we added new site width controls :) And our demo now uses 1100px width. You can change that on your end in theme options > sit width tab.

Thanks!

Yep, I see it!

Thanks for the reply.

Fantastic, you are welcome :)

Some feedback: I got a look at the new graphical page builder. It’s impressive. The options on each element, however, are overwhelming. Would be nice if it were simpler. Maybe some separation between the basic options and the more advanced options? It’s just so much to sift through, much of which I may not even use.

Thanks for the feedback!

The options are actually identical to our shortcode generator, with a few alterations. Each option is needed though and represents a different feature that you can use for each shortcode. We do have plans to be changing some UI elements in the editing popup window for certain elements to make it more streamlined though, but the amount of options are there for user customization.

Thanks!

Hello,

Pre sale question re: unlimited sidebar

Is the unlimited sidebar option only available for PAGES ? Can i choose a different sidebar for every blog post also ?

Thanks

It is across the theme, pages and any type of post :)

Is there an option to allow the new Fusion Page Builder to work with Woocommerce product pages and posts? At the moment the Page Builder only works with WP pages and we need it in more places than this…

Hey!

There is not an option yet for that at the moment, single product pages are pretty much standard in how they will be presented so we did not want to change that at this time. Its possible in the future, but we’re not sure yet.

Thanks!
