The video short code does not seem to be working.

I’ve just been responded by your support but I do not think they understand what my issue is.
1) When I create a cause with category selected and goal amount being greater than raise amount, it does not show in CS-Theme Option -> Model Window Buttons -> Cause dropdown list..Does not show any cause to choose from???
2)After I create a cause and make a donation with Paypal transaction. The amount I paid does not show in the Raise amount, progress bar does not increase and a new donor does not show up. As if there was no transaction at all. But I see in my paypal that money was sent??? Shouldn’t after a Paypal transaction the information of the amount and Donor pass to the cause automatically with transaction ID???

911155. Yes I have given my credentials to support for them.
Do you have to manually add a donor? because from support’s response I believe they just clicked “Add Donor” and obviously that would increase amount raised, percent raised, and the amount raised bar when you directly insert the data. But when I tested out a real Paypal transaction the data of the donor does not get passed to the website and amount raise is still at $0.00, percent raise is still at 0% and the amount raise progress bar does not move. Is this not what is suppose to happen? Also I with issue #1 support shows me they created a cause and it showed up, mind you this is with a donor that was added. I do the same thing but I do not add donor manually because It would need to start at 0 until a user donates. But I still do not see it in cs theme option dropdown list. I have a feeling its some sort of coding error where if there is no amount > 0 then it will not show up. only if raised amount is > 0 then it will show.??
Ok so support just came back to me with showing me a page with an h1 header saying “Error establishing a database connection”? Then saying I should enter donor’s manually in the admin page. That does not make any sense. If you have a functionality for the theme to accept donations. Why would you have the admin look for each user’s transaction information along with the transaction ID and fill it in themselves to increase the donation raised amount? Doesn’t support…well support customers for situations like these? The functionality of the Donation feature seems irrelevant if the data from a paypal transaction doesn’t pass to the theme to update the raised amount..
Donation calculation is automated process. Once you set up the Paypal IPN in your site, any transaction made by the client will be calculated automatically. Support team might have not understood things well, they guided you about goal and cause. They did not talk about raised amount and its calculations. I do apologies for any convince. I have written the issue to them and they will be vigilant next time they respond you.
Alright, that’s what I would imagine. that it would be an automated process and I do not know how a database connectivity could be issue. I am now waiting for a solution from support. Here is what I have gotten from support so far..

I believe this is a page and theme option responsive issue..
No, this is not page and theme option issue, the issue is with settings of donors and paypal IPN which is not correctly configured.
okay what is the mis-configuration I followed the steps of the support but if there is something wrong I would appreciate the correction.

I’m thinking of using this theme on more sites, and on the other site it would be relevant to be able to change the style of the donations button. I think it isn’t configurable, would it be too much to hope that it would soon become configurable?
Yes it is not configurable from the back-end but you need to do some custom styling for that. We have noted your suggestion and forwarded it to our development team for next update.
Hi, I currently am researching themes to find the right fit for my client, Election seems to have a number of the requirements I am looking for but had a few questions prior to me purchasing this theme:
1. Is it possible to integrate a Survey Monkey that I create into this theme? Whether it is a pop-up that appears when people arrive to the website or embedded into the website somewhere? 2. Does there have to be a white section beneath the header? The ‘Politics’ one seems to have them on all the pages before the content of the page starts. 3. I am guessing it is possible to have multiple galleries set-up but if there are, is it easy to see which are associated in the back-end or are they all thrown into one giant list? 4. On the “Causes” page, there are progress bars, do you have any other interactive/animated features that come with your theme? i.e. counters, or circles that show percentages, or columns/paragraphs that appear on the page as you scroll (sort of animated?). 5. Do the “Causes” have to be donation projects? 6. I see that we can use WooCommerce plug-in, any ideas if we are able to use WooCommerce Donations plug-in? 7. Any idea if a community plug-in could be added to this website?

1) Yes, you can integrate survey monkey plugin with our theme because our theme is compatible with all best wordpress plugins. 2) Yes, you can take white section beneath the header on all pages. Create a div after the header and style it as per your requirement .3) Currently, all galleries codes are working dynamic in the theme. 4) No, currently we are not providing counters, or circles that show percentages in our theme. 5) Yes, you can choose causes for the donation as per your need. 6) Yes, you can use WooCommerce Donations plug-in with little bit custom coding. 7) It depends on community plugin if it will be compatible with theme or not.
How to change /events/ permalink? I need to translate it, but I cannot find where I can do that.
Please follow below steps to change the functionality as per your needs; Create an event -> click on edit under the event title -> write the permalink name which you want -> click on Ok -> publish -> you are done!!

There is something wrong with the donation cause pages. If the amount is at $0.00, the progression bar overfills and the percentage is at 200%?!

I installed the template and submitted a ticket but still no response. My “homepage” is different then the home page when going to the website. doesn’t look like the demo. the home tab page looks like the demo but its not the initial page when going to website.
Set the front page by going to Settings -> Readings and Set that page as front page.
I love this theme. It’s wonderful, but where is the css? I need to override a few things like font size, font style, and placement of the navigation in the header.
Also, how do I remove the very thin bar at the top of the header that is red, white, and blue?

Please open your westand theme folder, in this folder, the third last file is” style.css”, Here you can change the “font size & font style” as per your requirement. To remove the top header strip, Please go to you style.css file > find the class

For the the background color, please go to the wp-content/themes/westand/css/bootstrap.css?ver=3.8.4 (line#1274) class .col-md-3 { width: 25%; } For the Margins, Please create a ticket at Chimp Support and explain that where you want to create bigger margin. Attach screen shot if possible.

Please go to the Appearance => CS Theme Options => Donation => Model Window option, from here you can set the link for the popup window button.
I can only set the url of the second and third tab. But the tab 1 (“make donations”) is not the url field. I do not need the functionality that has built the system, I need a custom link. In which file I can change this manually?
Make Donations tab takes the user to Paypal. It is built in system. You cannot change it.

I am afraid I will have to suggest you to contact a developer in this case as this is not a single step process. It involves some work in code.

There is no need of any third party plugin, You just need mailchimp API key. Afterwards, just configure it from CS Theme Option settings.

about Theme translation and the default.po file it’s very frustrating to see that a great theme as this is, still don’t have the right instructions about translations… or the right files ready to do it… I’ve wasted your support time and mine trying to figured out where the hell is the default.po file to translate the theme with poedit as the instructions says. There’s only arabic.po/mo files in the theme language files.. And I see now that this same question was made about 5months ago.. come on fix it already and avoid others buyers waste their times and yours with this question.. do you have the default.po after all? if don’t please take it out the instructions. I had already open a ticket and I got from your support team this instructions: “Please download (Brazilian Portuguese) .po or .mo,see the link below form here you can download the language file https://www.debian.org/international/l10n/po/" Wich I couldn’t find and after some interactions I really couldn’t understand it… at the end I solve this issue in time to delivery the project for my client using the poedit.com services.. importing the arabic.po file (strings only without the translation) because the poedit that I’m used to use (offline version) I had to earese line by line, and I didn’t want to earese more than 1000 line like these.. I would translate just a few strings. well.. after all I think we are good, but still I didn’t get the instruction to download pt_BR from debian.org.. thanx

Hi again, I have a question about Paypal IPN url that you request in the Donations settings. PayPal completely redesigned their website and the youtube videos from a few months ago are irrelevant. I spent hours working on this including 3 phone calls to PP, upgrading to business account thinking that Paypal will give me the url, but I have been just told that you are the ones to give me that url. Explanation here http://paypal.com/ipn. Please let me know what to do asap, I need the account to be working!! Thanks

Instant Payment Notification (IPN) only use for automatic notification settings for your Paypal. If you already have your business paypal account, use this email id in your paypal back-end donations settings. It must start working. if it does not, Please create a ticket at Chimp Support and provide your url and login details. Issue will be seen and sorted there.
I understand that, but how do I obtain that link (ipn url??) You guys programmed it into the backend the example in the slot says www.yoursite.com/ipn-url….I put just a the website’s url in in the notification slot in Paypal…..I don’t think that is correct. Again how or where do I get that IPN URL???
