oh and one bug I have found is that when you insert a nectar style slider into a tabbed section it doesnt display correctly on the site. It seems that it stops the tabs having a default tab open. It works when the user clicks on one of the tabs. Where as the standard image gallery works fine. It would be nice if the nectar style slider could be working as I prefer the look of it. Thanks Ash

Is it possible to add arrows to the testimonial slider.
If so can you steer me in the right direction as to how we would custom code this? I think it would be a good feature to add as with long testimonials you need to scroll to see the nav buttons, it’s not very obvious.

If you go to: http://richpearson.co.uk/ and scroll down to the image block I have created.
The right hand image of the boat no matter what size I add it as won’t sit flush with the margins, it’s either too big or too small.
At the moment it looks like it’s 3px in height to small however the block has added some bottom margin and subsequently pushed the 3 images below down.
1) What is the correct size of image to upload here to make it fit perfectly please.
2) How does the scaling of images work within single images in vc – all a bit confusing?

Yeah I tried that original was added as 1500×1000px and then a half size as 750×1000px but it still doesn’t fit exactly ?

Hi guys
We have some page sections where the rows are split in 2 or 3 columns by visual composer. In Safari these show up correctly, however in Chrome and Firefox they look messed up (the row split in thirds places two text blocks next to each other and the third underneath, the row split in halves places the image and text block underneath each other… not good). This happened without editing the pages.
Today I updated to Wordpress 4.0 and the latest version of the theme thinking it may fix the problem but no luck.

I had a problem for a few days with ess.grid plugin and salient. I can only force to work in box mode if ess.grid is set up in box mode and salient fullwith.
It took me some time to figure this. Unfortunatelly now there is small grey gap when big picture open. Any idea ?

1. Make sure you’re using the flexible slider height option.
2. In recent releases of the theme there’s actually header layout options one of which is a centered setup – are you using that?
3. Could you let me know the URL to the page in regards so I can see which portfolio setup you’re using?
4. Make sure you’re providing images that are at least 600px wide – also prettyphoto (the lightbox plugin) will leave gutter space around the image but will still display as larger as more screen space is available on desktops etc

There really needs to be complete color settings control for everything on this theme (background, lines, border of blog posts in masonry, etc. – All this adding of CSS complicates a lot of things. Having features like you have for the header and footer with color settings but for the background and other things would make this theme beyond better. There also needs to be a CSS page when we log in to Salient support that has a list of CSS custom code that we can review and add to our sites. I’ve mentioned this a long time before. It would help all of us customers out a lot.

There really needs to be a portfolio feature where you can have the title below the project image and instead of the hover with the click to view larger – delete that feature and then just have a VIEW PROJECT on the hover with the hover color that clicks into the project page.

I tried accessing your demo site on my iPhone 5s with the latest Apple iOS and it looks all messed up. The reason I did this was because I was suddenly having issues again with viewing sites I work on that are Salient based. This is a sporadic issue that has been occurring for some time. Some days or hours it’s fine and sometimes not. Also, the load up time on the Salient demo and the sites I design with Salient are always very slow. I don’t know how the architecture is built with this WordPress theme but I do wish it were faster. You guys really need to look into this because it’s also happening on your demo site, not just the sites I design with Salient. Time to go back to looking at bugs and fixing them and then releasing another version of Salient. Please respond as I’m back to square one where before I thought all was solved. It is very odd that this is sporadic and perhaps really hasn’t been resolved.
Unfortunately I still haven’t been able to replicate it yet still and similar behavior hasn’t been reported – are you experiencing the same sporadic issues on your iPad as well and has your client(s) noticed the same behavior on their iPhones?

The full width background/content rows will be the full width of the boxed div, bypassing the padding which standard rows usually have – but it’s not possible to have a row the full width of the screen when using the boxed layout as of now
