How do I remove the price variation from the store. For example, I setup Shirts as a product with various sizes. Each size is a different price. So on my Product page it says $20-23. I want to remove that entirely.

This is the default WooCommerce business logic and not part of the theme. To change this you’ll need some custom code.

Is there a way to reduce the size of the images used in the product carousels on the main page? It seems to be loading the full 500×750 versions.

Hi there Lee,
On the single product page the larger image will be loaded which is 500750px.
Re: product carousels – this will load WooCommerce generated thumbnails as long as your raw initial uploaded image is at least 500750px.
If it’s smaller then WooCommerce may not generate a thumbnail.

I would like to hide the still image, I’ll explain … hover in the hidden one appears and disappears behind in that … because if I upload a smaller image or a different aspect ratio, in hover I see the two images at the same time.

I understand your issue a bit more now.
The issue is due to you having different image sizes. You need to ensure your images are all at least 500*750px to ensure they are uniformly resized the same size by WooCommerce/WordPress. Otherwise this issue can occur.

Hi I wanted some information for the management of images in the shop. I have the ability to have an effect on the images of the shop in rollhover home.
My problem is that the client uploads images very different and create overlapping effects very ugly. during hover is possible to hide the base image so as to be visible only in hover the image visible?

I understand your problem, but I’m not sure what you’re trying to do?
The base image is already hidden during the hover process 
The only thing I could think you could do would be to hide the hover/flip image altogether using custom css:

You have an option to turn off the product flip if you like – the setting is in Captiva Theme Options > WooCommerce General Settings – ‘Product Thumbnail Flip’

Just purchased the Captiva wordpress theme. After the Installation. I noticed that the HomePage – eCommerce, About Us page and several others don’t want to load. The Shop pages and blog pages load.
any solution pls?
Just replied via email there too. My guess is that on some local WAMP servers the Visual Composer plugin is occasionally problematic. Everything works great on a live server though.

Hi guys, great work, just a little question, why when i take a look a any pages on Chrome, the size options are not appearing and the ADD TO CART button either. Everything seems to work well on Firefox but not on Chrome.
My Chrome version is up to date Version 38.0.2125.104

Chrome is our primary browser and everything looks good on our end. Perhaps try it on a different machine or in incognito mode – maybe a browser plugin is causing this.

Thank you for creating such a well thought out and well coded e-commerce theme but I did have a question and comment.
I realize that sometimes is just not necessary to update packaged third party plugins since they have minor updates here and there that don’t really affect anything and that since it’s implementation is custom can be difficult to bring them into the theme, but some additional elements for Add Ons for VC have been released and they’re are UI and functional updates for LayerSlider. Do you plan on updating these and other packaged plugins in a future update?
Lastly, a link to your child theme for captiva blog post in the docs packed with the theme would be helpful. Thank you!

This isn’t a theme translation string – this is either a WordPress or WooCommerce string – depending on which search widget you’re using.
You will need to track down the relevant translation strings for whichever widget you’re using.

This looks like a permissions issue to me. You need to either through cPanel or FTP change the theme folder permissions to 755.
If you send your cPanel info to support@commercegurus.com I can do it for you if you like.

Hi, I facing a problem which the template has insufficient memory to load. I had increase the wp memory to 128MB in wpconfig. It solved my problem for the error of memory. But while I setting up and save the work I done, it took quite couple of second to save completely and it waste a lot of my time to setup by using this template. I wondering why this template has consume a lot memory, is it the plugin too heavy load?

That shouldn’t be happening – I’d contact your host if I were you. Captiva is benchmarked against twentyfourteen – the default WordPress theme. Any issues like this are always down to either plugins or the host. In 9 times out of 10, a poor shared hosting provider is the issue.

This theme is so easy to work with I’ve already customized it a fair bit. And it expands and handles larger images which I love. I would highly recommend this theme to others. The work they have put into this is quite amazing.:)
