Portfolio hover/rollover works on internet explorer but not working on chrome or mozilla…. I thought it was something on my end but it is also happening to your demo. Please take care of that.

Most probably you have a Win8 laptop with touchscreen. Therefore theme recognizes it as primary input device (not the mouse). This behavior will be changed in one of upcoming updates.

Things are changing quite quickly – we’re dropping some planned features and adding others; also we moved a release date a bit already.

Either a theme installable file is damaged or something is going wrong server-side during unpacking process.

1. Because every theme that has customization options have to create a CSS file to caches your styling settings. Technically this file can be stored wherever you want. BUT only “uploads” folder is usually writable and accessible for theme. So storing cached CSS files in it is the safest way to ensure that theme will work for most users.
2. At this moment this can be emulated by adding your logos to separate portfolio category and outputting it via portfolio scrolled. Also there’s a good chance that there’s a ready-made plugin for this.

The7 CSS caching mechanisms are much more advanced than in older generation themes (Cardamon, Nimble, PurePress). It will create static CSS files for you automatically. Only in case when your “uploads” folder is not accessible, The7 will paste a CSS in the HTML code. And even then it will perform much faster then old theme since everything is cached.

I have two questions: 1: Suddenly alot of features from visual composer just dissappeared, I don’t have Gap, Portfolio Scroller anymore. Only the most basic ones. I have theme verison 4.4.4 and the latest wordpress update.
2: Suddenly the portfolio scroller on my indexpage (Added before it dissappeared, it worked/was visible 2 days ago, no one have edited anything since then) is smaller than it was before. It used to fill both sides, now it seems only 66% is filled.

No no. That’s not an error. Google webmaster tools really returns couple of warnings. They are not harmful. We aware of them and will fix them in one of upcoming updates.

I am sorry to say that this theme is frustratingly tedious from an admin perspective. I am baffled by creating simple columns, even in HTML, and in separate custom templates (they don’t work). I’ve tried all variations, but they just default to one column; a simple shortcode is not available for columns; no documentation seems to be available despite trawling through the theme, and “Inspecting Element” everywhere to work out what the heck the column system is, but instead you’re punished with the “Visual Composer” with plus signs, edit buttons, column layout arrangements, popups, “visual assistance” – the whole thing is a fricken nightmare. Get me out of this theme. 1 star barely out of 5.

One thing I’m a bit frustrated is why have you purchased the theme that clearly states its deep integration with Visual Composer? The fact is that it is industry standard and most modern themes are focused on it – not old-school text shortcodes. That is the way all themes industry moves.
I suggest you to give The7 a second try: please submit a support request via our support portal at support.dream-theme.com – our guys will be glad to guide you through places that you find not intuitive. There’s a good chance you’ll find The7 perfectly logical and convenient.

Because most people are not using it – they prefer icons. Also it requires LOTS of extra code. Therefore next major release of The7 will have icons only.

Your theme description says option to disable responsiveness and individual settings for responsiveness of columns and 100%fluid.
By using the theme-option “disable responsiveness”, will we be able to create a non-responsive site with min. width of 1100px, meaning that the design + size of columns and its elements will never hange even if the browser-width is smaller than 1100px?
