That is the sliding bar feature. You can disable it by going to the sliding bar tab in theme options and turning it off.

I have only added one “Preferred Image” picture each to a few PAGES (not POSTS).
On the individual page the image shows up large (margin-to-margin) and at the top.
The pictures themselves are 300×285, but when they are displayed they are the width of the site (1100px) and with a corresponding height.
How can I set the dimensions of the featured image on the actual PAGE to be the same dimensions of the uploaded image…??

Hmmm their is a custom featured image size that can be used for this but it is only for posts, not for pages. This may be something we need to add. But for now, do not use the feature image box and insert the image at the top of the content field. That will allow it to show at the correct size.

I would think this is something a lot of the “regular” users would want. Not many sites out there want a big picture right at the top of all their pages.
I have to use the “Preferred Image” as another plugin pulls that image to display it elsewhere.
Using an image from inside your content-area defeats the purpose of having a “Preferred Image” option.
This feature would be nice, specially if we could turn it off and on as needed.

Thanks for the feedback, we will check into this and I’ve made a note to add this to the theme in a future update.
A solution for now is to still use the featured image on pages but turn off this option on the extras tab in theme options: http://d.pr/i/1kwB1 Then insert the image in the post content field as I explained above. This way, the image is the correct size on your page, and your plugin should still be able to use the preferred image since it is uploaded, but the theme will not display it since the option is turned off.

Hi! I have some issues.
When I try to share an item from the shop (woocommerce) on facebook, does not show the picture of item on the facebook sharing box, but the picture is shown when I click on the secondary photos of item.
Also, have a problem with pinterest because is not pinning the item picture. I mean, in the shop, I do click in pinterest icon, then I choose a board but shows an error message ” Oops! We are experiencing some problems to communicate with www ….. net. Please try again later.”
Any ideas why this is happening? Apologies if my english is not good.

The pinterest item should just be temporary then, is it still not working? For facebook, we would need to see your setup, this is working on our end with our products. I have a (one more) pre-purchase question:
I read that your Avada theme comes with official Polylang support. What doea that exactly mean?
Also; Is it possible to combine Polylang’s language selector option with social media icons inside a top section WP menu?
To clarify my question: I would like to either insert font-awesome social media icons in a standard WP menu together with Polylang’s language selector in Avada’s top section menu option, or to use Avada’s social media option in combination with Polylang’s language selector in a standard WP menu.

Hey Pedro!
What that means is that we have tested that plugin and it works with Avada, but if an issue arises that is not theme related, you would need to contact the plugin developer for that. We recommend using WPML since it is very user friendly and pretty much anything can be done with it with no need for custom coding.
What you asked would be possible but would require custom coding. WPML is the only plugin we know of and use that allows you to easily insert a language selector in the main or top menu.

No matter what I do the button shortcode breaks the page…all other shortcodes work perfectly. using version 3.6.2 on WP 4.0

Hey! This would depend on what all you want to do. Technically any type of site could be created, but some custom development may be needed. We do not have any specific coupon type features built in though.

We or any other cannot make a guarantee like that because most of it is not reliant on the theme, but your own server and precautions. I would recommend contacting your host and talking to them about it and also using a security plugin in addition to what your hosting provider recommends.

We changed the slider on the home page last night but that is about it for past few weeks. We are still undergoing changes though in other places and will issue the new demo content once its all done, our next release in a few weeks will contain any new content up until that point.

All header margins are controlled in theme options > header tab. The top menu (secondary menu) height will need custom CSS though, and will depend on what content you have in it.

The options “Header Top Padding” and “Header Bottom Padding” in the header tab seem to work for all headers except Header #4 This is what I mean: https://uitgeweest.nl/avada/

I bought the enfold theme I like it other then the support and the fact that I cant get banners in the header even with the logo essentially I was wanting 3 columns responsive header If this is something that can be done or even tweaked with support I will buy your theme

I am thinking of buying your Theme, I was hoping you could answer a couple of questions pls?
1) Does Visual Composer comes with it – I could only see the Fusion composer one in your notes.
2) Re the colour schemes, do you have a colour option where the entire background including pages can go Black or charcoal and the text white. In other words white on black rather than black on white with all trims and shadings etc that auto change?
3) If I don’t want to import THE ENTIRE demo site /pages into wordpress, is there a way to easily add just 1 or 2 of your demo pages that I like into my site and custom design the rest myself?
4) If I use your Theme, will it be really really heavy seeing there is a lot of stuff going on. I noticed it takes a while to load your DEMO SIte Home Page so just interested in your comments re that and what would be the best way to minimise the weight using your Theme so it does load quicker??

2. Yes there is a pre-defined “dark” skin like that, but also we give full color options so you can change anything you see to be the color you want.

4. Hmmm where do you see our home page taking long to load? It’s actually very fast ranging from 85-96% on speed tests. But also, our home page demo has dozens of images and lots of content. Most likely your home page will not. Most of that depends on your own content and then your server speed also.

random question.. what font do you use in your themefusion support website menu and headings. I downloaded the museo slab font and did not see the font there.
Am also not a programmer or very technical person, If i have a lot of trouble with implementing or creating sliders or megamenu can I pay for support to have your team build it for me if i provide the parameters or results I want.

I think there might be some images missing in my Avada installation. Just downloaded and installed the latest versions yesterday (11/11/14).
For some reason, the social icons aren’t showing on my “Meet The Team” template – check this out:

I’m having some problems loading your demo pages – the slider images aren’t showing up and the options panel on the right can’t be minimized. Tried 3 browsers and a mobile device (all on the same network, though). Any ideas?

I’m about purcheasing your theme. You’re saying that I will find only one demo ready to use???
Currently there are two, classic and agency. However please note that our classic demo has many pages. And the Agency demo is a completely different style. A lot of the themes you see that have dozens of demos are not really that different from one another. Many of our pages in Avada Classic would be considered different demos in that respect.
However we are adding more soon, each of ours will be a unique industry specific demo.
