Hi,
I really liked the theme and especially the hub pages!
Does the theme support RTL (right-to-left)? if not, can you make this possible for a fee.
Thanks!
Hi there,
Thanks. The theme does not have RTL support, but you can contact my developers who can do this for you: http://ourwebmedia.com/ghostpool.php?aff=002
Hi again, i have another question:
Is it possible to set an clickable (which redirect to a url we set when we click on it) advertised background ?
Hi there,
It’s certainly possible but not a feature the theme offers you’ll need to modify the theme or use a script to do this.
Hey,
im really interested in getting this, but i dont like the “comment” System. Is it able to use a Disqus comment section or just allow registered users to comment? I think this System will get you a lot of spam.
Hi there,
The theme uses the standard Wordpress comment system as does nearly every theme here. The comment system comes with a spam filter and can be set to allow only registered users to comment. However you can certainly use the Disqus plugin instead of this.
Ok thank you, this would be my first Wordpress Page.
I have a couple of questions:
1. Can this theme be used for non gaming reviews? I assume so I’m just making sure.
2. Does the theme allow user publising of posts similar to the front end user reviews functionality? For example can the Dark Souls 2 game developers signup and list there game themselves for other users to review.
Hi there,
1) Yes absolutely.
2) The theme does not offer this feature, you’ll need to use a plugin such as Gravity Forms for something like this or hire us to do this for you.
Hello
Can i create a custom layout for each category or does it inherit automatically from a default layout?
Is it suites for a multi themed magazine (the demo is only about games, but if the website is about 3-4 other themes too, is suited?)
Thanks
Also, can you confirm that we can add unlimited criterias in the hub detaisl sectio n(where there is “developped by, publisher, release date etc.)
Another question: is it possible to create the review page for something but to don’t give an editor rating (to disable it temporarly or not) but meanwhile users can rate, even if i didn’t give rating yet.
Hi there,
1) Post, video and hub categories all have their own global layouts. Each individual hub category for example cannot have a different layout though.
2) The theme can be used to review any type of content, including multiple content at the same time.
3) Yes you can, there is no limit.
4) Yes, if you don’t give an editor rating, then none will be displayed on the review page.
About 4) so you confirm that even if there is no editor rating, users will still be able give a rating (the widget on right sidebar) ? Also if there is no editor rating, could they still add their own review that includes the rating?
Yes the editor and user ratings are completely separate. If there is no editor rating the user rating box will still allow users to vote and display the user rating.
Yes they can all still add their own user reviews if there is no editor rating.
Thanks. I found my next buy then
Can I ask how you get the homepage to look like that? Every time I use VC Elements it shows up in the sidebars which is not what I want.

Hi there,
If you haven’t done so already please submit your support questions at http://ghostpool.ticksy.com where I will answer them shortly.
Sorry for the inconvenience but we do point this out in the help file, item page and your theme options page.
Pre Sale Question:
1. Is it possible to turn one of the tabs into a button? I’m looking to use this them to do affiliate product reviews and I need a “BUY NOW” button so that I can insert my affiliate links.
2. Is it possible to have one central page for the review? For example a page that contains information from these two pages in one http://gauge.wpengine.com/call-of-duty-ghosts/ & http://gauge.wpengine.com/call-of-duty-ghosts/review/#.VGZZhfnF98E
Hi there,
1) The links cannot be changed in appearance without modifying the CSS, but it’s certainly possible. You can change the tab links to whatever link you want though.
2) You can create a similar page like this, by adding the hub page info (http://gauge.wpengine.com/call-of-duty-ghosts/ ) to your review page (http://gauge.wpengine.com/call-of-duty-ghosts/review).
What customization can I achieve on the tabs?
For example can I replace the photos tab with podcast or music or other post ypes?
Could I recreate something like the news tab but instead of posts could I have pages? (Characters Pages)
It still looks really great regardless though. GLWS!!
Hi there,
Yes absolutely. The tabs are just child pages, so you can customize the tabs however you want, including displaying pages instead of posts and adding a podcast or music tab.
Hi. I am trying to get my review page to simply post the name of the game title and review. I’ve been advised to disable the child theme, but haven’t had much luck.
The owner of GameEvolved (http://www.gamevolved.it/sunset-overdrive/review/) basically has his meta data output exactly the way I’d like it to read:
Game Title – Name of Site
Currently it’s repeating the review directory with the custom post name as well. i.e. BlazeRush Review: BlazeRush
If anyone can point me in the right direction how to get that configured (that would be greatly appreciated!)

I like the hub idea but can you control which hub tab is loaded by default? The default in the demo I think will confuse some which would expect to get review.
Say I want to go directly to the review from a latest games link on the frontpage but still have the other tabs available. Is that possible?
Yes absolutely. You can display the review pages on the homepage and still have the other tabs available.
Hi GP,
I have a few presage questions for you: 1.) Can I use this theme to review something other than games? J/k J/k J/k! Sorry I couldn’t resist. I realize that this theme is flexible to meet the needs of any type of review. I’m davy enough not to have to ask that, but I am pretty green to WP, the last site I build was via iWeb! I’ve been following your work since I saw Vivacity and I read every comment as saw mention of you working on something new so I held out. Prices went up, but I think it was worth the wait to see Gauge! I think it covers just about everything I could want it to. So here are my questions (seriously this time): 1.) Will visual Composer give me the power to change the color of the actual rating gauge. From the red/orange to say shades of blue? 2.) Can you comment on page speeds? I’ve run vivacity and Gauge (and other similar themes) through the following sites to get an idea of their efficiency and Gauge is running at the bottom. Does that have anything to do with it being a demo or the basics of how it’s built?

THOUGHTS???
Savvy enough not davy enough (sorry)
Hi there,
1) The Visual Composer won’t since it doesn’t control the rating gauge, but all the colours (orange/red gradient for example) can be changed from the theme options page.
2) In part it’s due to the demo using large images and unminified code in some places. Many of these things should be addressed by the buyer, it’s not practical to minify everything in the theme as users will have difficultyediting the code when modifying the theme. That said, I will be releasing a new update shortly that should greatly improve the page speed.
Hope that answers your questions.
Wow, your new speed and user numbers jumped considerably. Well done. I have to talk with my partner, but I think you have another sale here!
Glad to hear it.
I would like to know if there’s a blog oriented version of it. OR if I can use it as a blog without the video games rating stuff.
Thank you
Hi there,
Yes absolutely. You can see a few of the blog examples from the Features dropdown menu. Here’s one: http://gauge.wpengine.com/blog/standard-blog. You can apply any of these pages to the homepage or integrate them within an existing page.
Hi GhostPool,
First of all this is amazing looking theme. I have some pre-sale questions: 1) Can i add my own widgets to this theme, like adbanners? 2) Does the member search filter, search in member profiles: Example someone loves the game League of Legends and i search for this game, will all members that play this game be filtered? Does the filter allow multiple search key words by adding a comma to it example game, country, language ect.. Or can i create a search filter for that? 3) Amazing theme…..
Thank you.
Oh one more thing, the review system, can i give each category an unique score board, example video game use graphics, story line, sound… while a board game use, other scores?
Thank you.
And an other one: is possible that you must register before writing a review.
Hi there,
1) Yes the theme is widget ready as is any theme nowadays.
2) No the member search is part of the BuddyPress plugin it is not integrated into the general post/game search. I’m sure you can integrate the two but this is not part of the theme.
3) No, currently all items use the same criteria (graphics, gameplay etc.).
4) Yes, you can require users register before writing a user review.
Thank you GhostPool, point 3 would be nice…. but perhaps we can talk about that once i bought the theme.
Or is there option for 1 score? without any specification like i give it 7,4…
Yes you can just give a single score to each page and have no criteria.
Thanks GhostPool, after trying a couple Buddypress themes I finally found the one that comes near my expectation (was always searching for Buddypress Themes ect,
is it just for Game reviews ? I need product reviews theme like a mobile phone, digital cameras eg.
Hi there,
The theme can be used to review any type of content.
Hi,
I have several hundred normal posts with my current theme. If I want to change them to hubs or put them within hubs, do I have to manually create a new page for every existing post?
Hi there,
You can use a post type convertor plugin to convert your posts to pages. You may also be able to use the following plugin to add the Hub page template in bulk to each page and assign news posts to hub pages. However there still will some work involved as you’ll need to add the Visual Composer elements to each converted hub page manually.
I concur with Digitalrage. Some games or hub experiences are image heavy and could use a mosaic or interesting presentation of the images (ie. mikado, justified image grid). This would also tie back to a gallery/photo album solution to store the images for every iteration of game that would be called by mikado. Rgds
Hey! I am very interested in the template. Is there a way to create a games list and a wish list for each user? Each user should be able to create their own games collection to be seen on the personal page. Thanks so much.
Hi there,
These features are not currently included but I hope to add a game follow list in the future.
sorry I need this option, so I if there is now solution, I will search something else…or can this be done with any plugin ?
I’m not aware of any plugins sorry.
One quick question: It is ok to update trough ftp, overwriting old files with new files?no theme code change only settings from the theme options. Thanks.
Hi there,
Yes absolutely. Check out the help file for more info on this.
Hello my site done with Gauge is now online. Thanks to Dan (GP) for this amazing template. Hope that new features will coming soon.
www.gamevolved.it
i.e. I don’t like to much the hub so for my purpose will be far better a unique review page but with all the feature inside the hub of the game itself (user review, abstract of the game with features and publisher, etc.) Could you give this feature maybe with major release. Also newsticker will be great along with a grid gallery (like mikado or similar). Thanks again for your great work.
Looking good.
You can already add most content to your review page (except synopsis). If you want to discuss this further please open a support ticket.
Ok dan i’ll do a mockup to better explain my needs and i’ll open a ticket.
Hi,
A couple more questions:
1. I’m a little confused about how the hubs work. When I go to certain posts (for example any post in the News category) it goes to the Call of Duty: Ghosts hub. Is that a setting you configure for each post or something like that?
2. When users write reviews, where do they go? Is it possible to have them show up in the Reviews section of the hub?
Hi there,
1) Yes it is. If you associate a post with a particular hub page it will display the hub header for that hub. You can disable this so posts will not display the hub header.
2) They go on the User Reviews page for each particular hub page e.g. http://gauge.wpengine.com/call-of-duty-ghosts/user-reviews/
