Hi, can I add this template to “The Newsletter Plugin” and edit it from the plugin? The plugin gives me an option to copy and paste an html code

Hi zataraa, Thanks for your interest in Idea Mail. If you are able to copy/paste HTML then you should be able to use Idea Mail with that plugin.

Just to ensure , this will show up an animation video too ?

Hi raajgulati, You can insert animated video instead of the banner image.

Is it compatible with Sendy – Amazon SES?

Hi dedeobi,

Thanks for your interest in Idea Mail, if you are able to send all code as is without removing any of the necessary CSS or HTML then it should work fine.

Regards.

Are the templates ready for Mailwizz?

Hi Masterbig,

Idea Mail is an HTML email template so you can import it into Mailwizz, but it won’t work in the drag & drop editor only in the WYSIWYG editor, and you will need to add any Mailwizz custom tags such as unsubscribe and forward.

Regards.

When code is imported as templates to Mailchimp are the content blocks recognized in the mailchimp editor? ie. so each content block is editable in Mailchimp?

Hi IssuesInk,

Thanks for your interest in our template. At the moment Idea Mail is editable in Mailchimp as 1 editable content, not block by block. If you prefer templates with block by block Mailchimp editing check out our latest templates Repo Mail or Postin Mail.

Hi senCard,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail, to fix that issue please copy and paste the following code to the style block (for example paste it in line #22):

.twoFromThree img, .socialIconsContainer img, .twoFromThree a, .socialIconsContainer a {display:inline !important;}

I’m using constant contact – where can I find documentation on how to incorporate the dynamic elements when used with that service (view this email online, tweet this, share this, unsubscribe, etc)

Hi shirtandsimple,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail, here are couple constant contact codes:

Forward to a friend: <Forward>Forward to a friend</Forward> Unsubscribe: <SignupLink type="optout">Unsubscribe</SignupLink>

For the tweet and facebook buttons you can use the provided code from addthis.com, you only need to edit the URL as explained in the help documentation.

At the moment I don’t see any constant contact custom sharing or view online codes available in their user guide, so please contact their support in case you are looking for those codes or any other custom codes.

Regards.

Hi, I was wondering if you have made an Instagram social icon for the form? If so, would you be kind enough to share? AWESOME email template by the way!

Hi WheresMyHippo,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail. Yes I have the Instagram icon, here is the link.

HI there, Im new to using templates for emails. Currently I have been desiging in Photoshop, using layered masks etc, then slicing and exporting as html and images. Taking this html code into our email sending program (sendpepper) and adding images back in. Its a slow fiddly process.

With these templates, how are we meant to add content to it? There is no email builder program so Im not sure how design changes/layouts are made?

Thanks for your help. brian

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your interest in Idea Mail, the template comes with elements Photoshop file with placeholder images (with masks and slices) where you can easily place your images instead of the placeholder images and export the updated slices.

Idea Mail is HTML email template so you can edit it in any WYSIWYG editor or directly in your email marketing visual editor if it allows importing and editing HTML templates, while you are editing it you can update the text and images, if you wish to edit the layout by adding or removing content modules, such modules have code comments such as <!-- Start of banner --> and <!-- End of banner --> which makes it easily recognized to duplicate or delete the code (the help documentation covers such edits in more details).

If you are planning to use the template in Sendpepper, it’s important to make sure if Sendpepper service doesn’t strip the doctype declaration in order to make the template responsive in Webkit browsers, otherwise you can remove the media queries and use the template as non responsive, more info.

Regards.

I’m having issue when adding the html to constant contact, the view of the email on a mobile device is not the same as the view on a mobile browser. Take a look https://whatthetrucks.com/marketing/email/html/wtt_newsletter_2_1.html

Hi Dookans,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail, please read the following FAQ about Constant Contact, if you are ever able to send the email with a valid doctype declaration then it will remain responsive.

In addition, the first line in the code is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
You need to remove it to keep the original docytpe declaration active.

Regards.

I’m looking for an email newsletter template and I do like some of yours including the Idea Mail template. I especially like the ability to put a photo and info at the bottom. Is it possible to put some info or links at the top next to the logo on the left?

Hi bhairya,

Thanks for your interest in Idea Mail, I’m not sure which module you are referring to, if you mean the top logo with the right date field then yes you can change the date text to any other sentence.

Regards.

Hi,

Gifky have you received our mail. Please atleast reply us or add me on skype.

Thanks

Just answered :)

I bought this template because it was supposed to work in Mailchimp. Whereas it is possible to upload the template, it does not contain the necessary template codes, so that it is possible to edit the different sections (headings, images etc.) in the Mailchimp editor. Also, the blocks aren’t repeatable in Mailchimp, so the drag’n’drop feature does not work. Will you please make a real “Mailchimp Version” as you state on the product page?

Hi zulee,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail, the template comes with a real “Mailchimp version” that includes most common merge tags, you can edit all text and images (double click to edit images) in Mailchimp’s visual editor without the possibility to duplicate any content blocks in the visual editor, you can still duplicate any content block code in the code tab like explained in the help documentation about duplicating content blocks.

Regards.

Awesome email, looks nice. Have you tested this on Targeted.io with their 40 email clients?

We run our email tests in Litmus :)

Hi, yesterday we discovered idea-mail template and today we tried to purchase it. But: It dissapeared from the official themeforest lists. It’s ony aviable for purchase if you know the direct link.

Is there a problem? Is it no longer supported? Are there new known problems with the major major email clients?

Thanks in advance for yor help. :-)

Regards, Stefan.

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for you interest in Idea Mail, I have reported that issue to the staff, there is probably some bug with Themeforst’s lists.

Idea mail doesn’t have any problems, it is supported and has super code and compatibility with major email clients (you can see the screenshots in the live preview) and the outstanding rating and reviews says it all.

Regards.

Wow, thank you for your superfest support. :-) I just purchased Idea mail.

Thanks for the purchase, enjoy the newsletter :)

Hello,

Quick question, what is the difference between the regular version and the mail chimp version?

I have used the regular version for some time and now I’m thinking about using Mailchimp, but I have edited the template, so I don’t want to redo all the editing on the mail chimp version. Can I just import the regular template to mail chimp? will I have any troubles with the template if I do that?

Regards, Yasser Shabbir

Hi Yasser,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail.

You don’t need to redo the edits on the Mailchimp version, instead you can just add Mailchimp merge tags to the regular version which you have edited. I can send you help documentation file which had instructions of using Idea Mail in Mailchimp before I added separate Mailchimp version. Just contact me via email to gifkynet {at} gmail.com and I will send it to you.

Regards.

The email looks great in almost every system but Yahoo. I am having trouble getting it to center in yahoo mail.

Hi stonehillcollege,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail.

Please let me know if the problem is appearing in the original template or only after you edited it and send me screenshot how the template is appearing in Yahoo to gifkynet [at] gmail.com and I will try to see what is the issue. Also let me know which service you are using to send the template. If the problem appears only after you edited parts of code please send me a copy of your edited code.

Regards.

I am interested in this email template. This one says mail chimp ready. I don’t want to use mail chimp. I am just going to edit it and put it as a template in constant contact. Will it still work? Or do I have to use mail chimp? Thank you…

Hi X_JuDaH_X,

You don’t have to use it with Mailchimp. You can use it with any email service/program which doesn’t remove doctype declaration.

Constant Contact current editor isn’t compatible with responsive emails because it removes the doctype which cause a bug with responsive tables on Webkit browsers, in addition Constant Contact place a default footer which isn’t responsive and has fixed width bigger than phones screen width.

You can use this template in Constant Contact as non responsive email template by removing media queries and viewport meta tag.

Regards.

Hi there, For some reason, I tested the email from MailChimp, things seem to be okay at gmail and hotmail, but its at outlook where pictures needs to be forced to appear, in other words, the picture doesn’t open, unless you right click on it and click download or something. Could use your guidance, thank you.

Hi hummity7,

Thanks for purchasing Idea Mail, some email clients/programs prevent displaying images for privacy reasons unless you add the sender to your contacts or change the default privacy settings etc…

For Outlook 2007 and above please check out this answer.

P.S. if you mean Outlook.com, go to Options > Filters and reporting > Block content from unknown senders and choose Show attachments, pictures, and links for senders with good reputations.

Regards.

Nice Work Good luck;

Thank you :)
