Hi, very nice theme…is it possible instead of listing the location to search based on my current location, it would be very useful for mobile users. Second, what about creating events (concerts, etc.) and assigning it to specific places?

Thank you.

You can search based on your location with the Listify theme, see below:

location

Click this option to search based on location.

Hi! Nice theme!

Pre-sale question: every features have option to disable them? I mean, if I want to disable “ratings”, “claim list” call, “submit a review” call, “reviews”, is it possible?

Thanks in advance and GLWS!

Hi! Another related question: about “Listing Owner” field (shown at right sidebar), is easy to disable? How, exactly? (because not always the person who is publishing wants to appear…) Thanks!

Simply remove the widget from the sidebar.

Ok! Thank you, Adam!

Hi, I have some elements, i think you need to fix it in the theme, for beginning to become the Best Directory Theme in Themeforest Market :

1. Filter Search

The “Location” field is an input text. Why not the list of pre-defined regions (or Cities) ? I don’t want to use a google search of city or area, but i want to use my list of cities/areas ( Listing regions /slug : listing-region).

Example :

- > New-York (city1)
- - > Brooklyn (area1)
- - > Manhattant (area2) ...

2. List categories

The sub-categories (or Types here) are not accessible :

- from the menu (why not drop down list sub-categories (Types) on each category ?),

- from the listing archive of a category (why not add the same field category which is only visible in the “Listings” page, under Keyword and Location fields ?),

3. Sorting listing

In the listing archive of a category, we have filter by “Tags” but we can’t sort the listings by “Name”,”Ratings”,”Location radius”, ...

4. Payment Package

You use exclusively Woocommerce plugin for creating the membership package. For recurring payments, we must use (buy) Woocommerce Subcriptions plugin ?

5. Membership Package

I understand your actual membership package but I need to have, for examples, 3 packages like these :

- Free ->No Expires, Basic Listing (Name, Category, Cover image,Location, Phone, Short description)

- Silver -> Like “Free” package but with : more option (Example : Opening Hours, Amenities, for a period or forever)

- Gold -> Like “Silver” package but with : more option (Video, Galleries, Approved Reviews for a period or forever)

The best way for “Featured listing option” and “Deals and Promotions”, It’s to manage like simple product with recurring payments :

- For a period (1 or 3 ou 12 months), the user can feature their listing,

- For a period (1 or 3 ou 12 months), the user can submit Deals/Coupons in their listing.

So …

The directory must stay with the maximum of listings and reviews, and the best way, it’s to give the ability to add a listing, pay for more details, and options. For me, 1 user post 1 listing, their own business and manage only option after submitting their basic listing.

I hope you understand me, and I want to have your point of view, about my comment. Thanks and Regards.

P.S : The theme is very great, design like functionality, but need more animation. (Builder Page and Slider animation recommended but not required for me).

Hey there,

1. Yes, this is very easy with the free Predefined Regions plugin. You simply enable an option to achieve this: http://www.screensnapr.com/ubgcm6zt2aeg

2. This is the intended behavior of the plugin. If you are on a canonical category archive there is not supposed to be a way to switch categories.

Our demo has “Types” disabled but those can easily be reenabled in the Customizer and would appear on that page as well.

3. The current demo does not use FacetWP but complete support is built in. FacetWP provides the ability to sort results by title, date, etc.

5. Yes.

6. You would need to add custom taxonomy archive page templates in a child theme to customize those results pages. Fairly easy to do if you are familiar with WordPress but not something that is built in.

7. If you search with a keyword and a location the map will automatically update results as you drag it, but the number of results still depends on the number of listings you have set to show per page. The results will refresh but you may still need to page through to see the new results.

The pins reflect the results on the right, so until you actually narrow your search results the same results will display on the right and all of the pins will still be on the map.

8. Currently no, sorry.

9. Again, FacetWP would be a better solution as you can link to predefined filtered selections. We’ll hopefully have a demo up soon that shows what can be done with FacetWP.

Hope that helps!

Ok. Thanks for your answers.

I see you use widget areas and widgets for building homepage, single listing page, ...

I would have the ability to create pages, and build them with widgets like Homepage. I need to do that for simplify the management of pages I want for my project. What do you think ?

And, can I have a frontend form for building Woocommerce products for each “vendor” ?

Thanks & Regards.

Hey there,

To have access to the same widgets as the homepage you would need to create custom widget areas and page templates via your child theme. We plan on blogging about this and adding further documentation soon for this type of page management.

There is no frontend form building for WooCommerce Vendor Products; it’s controlled through the backend. This is a limitation of the WooCommerce plugin and not the theme. If the plugin is updated to support frontend submissions we will definitely add styling for it when the time comes.

Hi, really nice looking theme. A couple of pre-sale questions:

1) If I create multiple listings (100’s), will there be a significant slowdown in the loading time? And,

2) I’ll be looking to import entries with WP all import (CSV,) do you know if the fields are in a serialised format?

Hey thanks for your questions.

1. If you are using a Godaddy type web host and have tons of visitors + tons of listings and aren’t using any server caching then yes, things will be slow, if you invest in a decent web host that offers server side caching and is built for performance then you will not have any issues, it relates to your hosting and not the theme. As you can see here we have a high pagespeed score with the Listify theme.

2. I would recommend following this tutorial for importing listings: https://wpjobmanager.com/document/tutorial-importing-job-listings-wp-import-pro/

Cheers! Adam.

I like your theme a lot, for fundraising in school or sport, is it possible to change the hour field or add a field for the name of the student or participant. When people go buy in the shop does the school gone have a place to see is sale and is profit and their sale. Or I should buy http://affiliatewp.com, I don’t know the difference between WC vendor for affiliates. With I should choose. But I think your theme gone be excellent. A little customization and is gone look good. Have you gone help me if I have some questions…

Thank’s for your respond, Nobody gone sell their own product, the shop is to sell our product and give the % of commission to the Fondation. Is it possible to integrate in the client area. The link of your listing (https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing/555-liberty-village-toronto-ontario-canada-astoundify-barbershop/) going to be the link for the affiliate. Do you have an affiliates script to recommend me.

Does your theme have a possibility to just have 1 listing per Account

You can use any WooCommerce compatible affiliate WordPress plugin, i’ve never used any of the affiliates plugins so I don’t have a plugin to suggest, which one is better than they other.

The choice is yours when it comes to affiliate plugins, just ensure its WooCommerce compatible.

Cheers! Adam

Hey! i love the sense of design of all your themes!

You know what i’ve been waiting from you for an entire year now?! A “classify” theme. a fully functional classified ads theme.

Any plans for such theme soon?

Thanks a million for your efforts.

More classified options will be built over time and then different design elements will be included in the Listify theme as there is not much difference between a listing directory theme and a classified website.

Cheers! Adam.

The black gradient overlay – there an option for that to be automatic?

It currently is automatic.

Cheers – Adam

Woohoo!

Woohoo! Woohoo!

Heya, love the theme. I have a few questions before I purchase:

1. Can you provide login credentials so that I can check out how to feature a listing, add deals/promotions, add bookings (non-resurva – as I understand I would need resurva credentials)

2. How do listing owners get paid out when users purchase a deal?

3. How do listing owners create non-resurva bookings?

4. Is it possible to make it so that only users who have booked/bought product from lister can add review? Looks like currently any user can leave a review.

5. I’m unclear how claiming a listing works – what happens after the message is sent to claim listing?

That’s all for now – the theme looks amazing. Thanks!

Another question:

If using WooCommerce bookings, can users edit their time availability and bookings on front-end or does the site administrator need to handle all bookings?

I’m unclear how WooCommerce bookings add-on ntegrates with listing owners and how much control they have, or if the site admin needs to manually add all WooCommerce bookings. Thanks!

Once you have WC Vendors plugin activated the users can edit their own availability from within the WC Vendors plugin interface, admins would not need to edit the users availability.

There are a number of free Vendor plugins available but our theme showcases the official plugin.

Cheers – Adam

Awesome! Thanks!
