I have a question regarding the theme: I don’t intend on having reviews at all on my site. Rather, I plan on having interviews with people in the gaming industry. Is this theme/template suited for that? Thanks

So I can choose not to have the score appear on the pictures for each article? And I can also choose not to have the score and user score appear at the end of each article?
Yes you can definitely choose this in the theme options. Reviews/ratings are completely optional.
Sweet! My next question is: I already have a Squarespace site with a domain name, so if I get this theme and want it to have the same domain name, how would that work?
You would purchase hosting and then change your DNS to point to the new hosting nameservers. Then you can keep your same domain. Wherever you purchase hosting, they can help you make this change. It’s not hard to do at all. Does that make sense?

Hello IndustrialThemes and You have done a nice work on the theme. I want to know some thing before buying it. As my site is mainly focus on phone, i wanted a compare table which can compare the phone specs with many rows and table. I also wants to know can you setup css and theme code for me after the sale. You should check out our newest theme Engine. It has a fully comparison feature built in so you can accomplish exactly what you’re asking. This theme (Steam) cannot do it, but Engine can. Please let me know if you have any further questions, thanks!

Sure, access the live demo and click the little compare button beneath any of the posts (the 3 lines with the + next to them) and that will add items to your compare “dock”. Then click Go to see the full comparison page of the items you’ve chosen. http://www.industrialthemes.com/engine/
You can put ads absolutely anywhere within the theme using the advanced ad panel.

When edit an article in Review Information, i have changed the type post from review to article, but it always save as review, and i’m unable to change it… the same happends with ratings!

I do have another question in regards to banners/ads. Does the theme have functionality to show banners per tag, category, mini-site etc?

As the theme currently exists you can only have one banner for each slot and they are not unique per each category, tag, or minisite. You can have a different clickable background ad for each minisite, but not header ad. This is something we will consider for a future possible theme update.

how long does it take for them to respond?
I am usually able to respond to support tickets within 24 hours. Is there a plugin just for the “box overlay grid”?
There isn’t a plugin for this, it’s built directly into the theme files.
This theme is great! Can build almost anything with it. Quick question. Is it possible to change the permalinks. On my site when I change the permalink it is only allowing me to use the default or the standard SEF.
I would like to add post ID or possible use the date, but I am not sure that is compatible with the mini-sites.

It is compatible with buddypress, but for specific extra styles, we’re not sure if we’ll be able to update the theme with that any time soon or not…

It is already fully compatible with wordpress 4. I’m currently working on a maintenance update, but I’m not planning on changing it to be based on bootstrap 3 – it will remain on the version of bootstrap that it’s currently built on.
will Steam’s mega-menu drop-downs allow bigger images with a horizontal layout as well like the Explicit theme?

Hi, I first saw this theme out of envato somewhere (free) and I tried to use files. Then I bought this as it was too slow while saving options like adding logo, changing style. I thought there is missing codes and bought it. But it is still same, so slow while saving any option. Don’t know if it will work after 250-300 posts..design is the best I have seen for months congratulations! I need a faster site with many contents, do you have special advice?

I’ve download the latest template`s version and installed it. I had a minisite called “cinema e tv” and the slug was “cinema-e-tv”. Now, the template are not accepting this slug anymore and it changes to “cinemaetv”. I’ve already tried to change back the slug manually but it always keep the new one (cinemaetv) with no hifen.
