it was due to post_max_filesize set to 10MB. now i can upload the theme but it fails to install it. Unpacking the package…

Hi, first visit your downloads tab and re-download the new version.
Next activate default WordPress theme and uninstall old Skylab theme. After that navigate to Appearance > Add New Themes > Upload page. Select skylab.zip file. Press the Install Now button to upload and install the theme.
After uploading the theme, you have to activate it. Navigate to Appearence -> Themes page to activate the theme.
Navigate to Revolution Slider in admin area and update the plugin. You will find an updated version of the slider in sjylab/inc/ folder.

404 error + list categories issue + slow down Hi,
Since the last update, 1-i have a 404 error when people click on a portfolio item. I did the permalinks + functions.php but it still don’t working. The only thing works well is default settings in permalinks and it’s not professional !
2- + when we click on categories list in the sidebar nothing happens. Links looks like broken or non-existent !
3- The webiste takes too much time to load, especially on mobile devices. It’s not a problem from my web host provider.
Every time i got a problem with portfolio settings and categories. I love this theme but too much issues.

I have never been able to get the slider pages working on this theme, nor can I get the menu to show portfolio and gallery pages as “sub menu” items. This theme also seems to cause slickr flickr to fail, and I have been unable to create manual hyperlinks on pages. I am disappointed with this theme. Plus, now I need to try a clean re-install and Evate has deleted this theme from my purchases and downloads. I’m wasting time with this theme.

Hi, I would suggest you to test this with a default WordPress theme first and if it works fine there then should not be a problem with our theme.
Unfortunately that’s not the case… Is there a way for me to add a test post through the WP Admin or something?

When viewing our website from mobile, the browser crashes and the issue is becuse there are a lot of portfolios to show.
As I tried to limit the number of portfolios from theme options>portfolio settings and the website on mobile worked perfectly.
But I would like to display all portfolios in our website (desktop version) so is there any CSS code that will enable me to limit the number of portfolios when viewed in mobile? or is there any fix for this issue?

Hi, I’am afraid it’s not a good idea to show your portfolio items on a single page. Use Portfolio fixed width page template where pagination is available.

As an example from our website, http://tmd.com.sa would only show the latest 15 portfolio’s but in our blog page http://tmd.com.sa/blog would show all the portfolio’s in a fixed width while pagination is active.
Another question, how can I add portfolio’s under the post page ? (e.g. http://demo.megathe.me/skylab/portfolio/big-idea/)
- It may well be possible with some modification but it’s not something which is available out of the box I’m afraid.
- Please read the documentation that comes with the theme, any common questions can be answered within the documentation.
