Hi,
I just bought Vega and I think it’s the perfect theme for my website.
I have a question regarding the blog part. I found that you can choose to show full articles on the blog list or just a few lines. I’d like to keep control of the number of lines showed, so I choose to show the full articles with a -more- tag in it. It works fine but I have a standard “read more” link instead of the beautiful MORE black button and the horizontal line.
How can I get this button in my setup?

Sorry it doesn’t support that since more tag create it custom code for readmore link instead of theme code. But I will look for the better solution.

If you made changes using theme admin > script > custom CSS then it should be fine. But if you made changes on core theme code. Please backup your changes before updating.

I’m interested on this theme and I have a couple of pre buying questions.
1- Is any way to stop people copying or downloading images?
2- Social Links, Can I have one for 500px?
3- Images, What is the recommended size? Most of my images are square and width screen. All of them have a name and description.
4- Navigation bar, could I make the font size smaller?

1. You can disable right click and image dragging using theme admin. However if user is familiar with coding, technically they still can scan the code and copy it. It’s default web browser feature so you can’t completely disable it.
2. Currently It doesn’t support that. I will consider to add it into the future if there are many requests from customers.
3. I recommend images at 1024px resolutions.
4. Yes you can change it using theme admin.

I was just wondering is it possible to have the tg-gallery aligning to the centre of a page instead of to the left, and if so how. As I’ve had a quick look in the .php code for it and can’t see anything.

Did you check “Enable Content Builder” option? Also provide URL of page which has issue please.
“Enable Content Builder” option is checked. Done everything according to instructions. Still nothing. No problem setting homepage as a gallery, but I want a fixed width and I can only get this by using content builder(?). Made a testpage here: http://www.kentfurnes.com/test-3/ All white as you can see. Used content builder and inserted Gallery slider with fixed width, HTML, paragraph-break and images two columns. What am I missing?
I have no idea what I just did, but it seems I have solved this particular problem. Only to discover a new. How do I extend the trasition time in the slideshow. Tried adjusting the settings in the theme setting, but no luck. Enable autoplay is checked. It will not change transition effects either.
Did you mean you want to change slideshow transition to other than fade in?
Fade in is ok, but trasition time is not adjustable in my frontpage slider. Is this possible in the fullscreenslider in content builder? If you look at http://www.kentfurnes.com you’ll see the trasition is very quick from one photo to the next. In setting for fullscreen slidshow there is an option called slideshow transition timer but it has no effect om my frontapge slider. Also; how do you setup a blog with background?
1. When you edit gallery slideshow option in content builder. There is field “Timer – Enter number of seconds for slider timer (number only)”. Enter timer in seconds there.
2. Create a blog page, select “Blog Grid” as page template. Then upload page background option.
1. No. The timer function inside content builder got everything to do with how many seconds each photo stays on screen, and nothing to do with transition time. Im looking for a way to set transition time between each image. In Theme setting – Gallery – Slideshow transition timer there is a way to do this for fullscreen slideshows. Made a testpage for fullscreen transitions here: http://www.kentfurnes.com/?page_id=75. (For some reason first image stays on forever before transition to next image, so be patient). Look how long transition is between each image compared to content builder: http://www.kentfurnes.com. My question is if it is poosible to get fullscreen transition from content builder using the fullwidth gallery slider.
2. No. Did that, done that, did it again (and again). Still no. In fact I am unable to get any kind of background image on any kind of page. Is there a size limit?
2. Update. Well this is getting silly. Seems the problem is what page you set as “posts page” in settings. When I set “Blog” as post page it will not display as grid or with background image. When I set another page as posts page the “Blog” page will render correctly with background image and grid layout. Do I need to set a post page?
I also have problem with displaying map on contact page.

2. You don’t need to set post page. Just select page template.

1. Issue is slideshow from content builder. Issue is transition time. Dont keep telling me (and VIPete who is having the excact same issue) to adjust the timer function. This function tells each image how long to stay up on screen. So if I input 5 the image will stay up for 5 seconds. Then, in the blink of an eye, it changes to the next one. This will stay up for 5 seconds. Then, in the blink of an eye, it changes to the next image. That “blink of an eye” is transition time. Is there a way to extend that blink of an eye/transition time in content builder slideshow? Please.
Ok got it so you have to edit javascript code which I wouldn’t recommend unless you have good knowledge for coding.

Where can I change that? I noticed in “theme settings” a “disable loading animation” option, I deselected it, but still doesn’t work.

I cannot get the selection of a gallery category to work. I can select the category but when I update the gallery archive my selection has vanished and all galleries were show up on the page. What can I do?
Aside from that the page title and the tagline aren’t displayed on the page.

It’s sharing the same background color as every pages so it will change all pages background color. So you want to change background for all pages or just only this single image page?

A very nice and slick theme, perfect for my new website. But a really miss is the function (a shortcode or content builder block) to show the last 3 of 4 blogposts on a normal page. For example, on my home page I’d like to show my latest 3 blogposts (from all categories) and on my wedding-page I’d only want to show the last 3 weddings (from the wedding-category). When do you think this function will be added?

Awesome theme! thinking of purchasing but the question I have is – is it possible to add social media buttons (to the major networks – FB, twitter and pintrest) to each individual photo viewed in a gallery? For instance if someone is browsing though a gallery and likes a photo, wants to share it oh FB, there’s the share button, that makes the photo available to be shared (with link back to the photo from the post). thanks

I am looking for a way of posting individual photos while being viewed. If that makes sense. For instance if I wanted to share the photo of that bicycle in the screen shot. Thanks

It’s hard to claim that theme is SEO optimise since it’s also depends on other factors including content, domain name, server speed. But I think it’s built in standard Wordpress method and you can also use other SEO plugin.

1. Yes it support responsive layout and you can enable it using Theme Setting > General > Enable responsive layout
2. Open Theme Setting > Style and check “Enable page frame”.
