Simply love your design. One major question : im using Vantage directory theme at the moment and need to know if its possible to move all the listings and reviews+users over if I buy your theme ? there are over 120+ lisitings and plenty of reviews at the moment.

I have not used the theme. however as long as you can get xml file or csv file, it should be possible to add them. we are working on bulk import feature. I guess it’s almost done. it will be added the next update (not this coming update)

Can i allow account creation for customers only, and for shop owners require some kind of approval?

There is no approval for registration. everybody can create but if they want to post items (listings) they need to purchase your package.
There is also an option to approval new posting (items), if you setup as pending for new items. then your shop owners need to wait your approval. it can be immediate publishing as well.

I’d like to give users the ability to see a menu for each “listings/locations/items” showcasing products and services pricing and information about the product or service.. is there a way to add this or included this type of functionality easily? will buy if this is possible, truly the only thing i think this great theme is missing. it would also have to be included in the administrators front end system.

Do you want your users to add their’s products information on single item pages (detail pages)? if so, we don’t have that option. I heard there is a plugin (woo commerce vender). if you can add them on description part (the field type is “textarea”) then it’s fine to use our theme. please confirm it on our demo site. (id/pwd = demo / demo)

Is it possible for the shop to give away discount coupons and track which users are eligible for the distributed discount?
More like allow users to apply/register for the discount events. And the shop owner to track these.

You can add an image (coupon image) on the description page or event page. we don’t have apply/register coupon feature at this moment. we are working on directory features now. we may add more options for events in the future.

Hi, another couple pre-sale questions.
When a user registers, the email that is sent to the user has the username, password, and link: http://javothemes.com/directory/wp-login.php. This link takes the user to the back-end Wordpress dashboard, which is very unprofessional in my opinion. I do not want users to see the back-end. This also happens if the user logs in incorrectly and then is asked to log in again. This time the log in is from the WP form, which takes the user to the back-end. Is there any way to prevent that? I do not want users to see back-end.
Also, since I cannot test back-end, is there a trial period after purchase? If I am not happy with the product, do you offer a refund?
Is this compatible with Wordpress version 4.1?

We have a suggestion for this issue from other users and we will work on it in near future (not coming this update). I don’t think there is a trial period. if you need to check it out and get better answer, you need to contact to envato support team. they manage all of these issues.

Hey, Sorry for using this forum, but I’m having problems logging in to the support forum.
The issue that I’m having is related to the logo. I’ve changed the logo in the top left corner, but on some pages it is my logo and on others it say’s “Directory”. Please advise. Thanks!

There is an option to change logo on theme settings for single pages. because single page has different design for each users. Please have a look at this knowledge base ( http://javothemes.com/forum/knowledgebase/logo-settings/ )
– Single item page logo : only for single page (since v1.3) (theme settings >> item pages >> Single Item Page Menu Settings) You can find upload field for single item pages.

Can you tell me if the new planned update has massive improvements in loading speed? I am running my site on a fast SSD server and loading the massive amount of css and js is taking about 18 seconds according to webpagetest. Similar other websites on the same server are doing 3-4 seconds….

Another question: BOOTSTRAP are updated continousy ,will the javo themes be updated accordingly.
It seems bootstrap has some bugs which easliy cause second-class dropdown menu can not work functionally on mobile devices. Does the theme fix the problem

I have a new issue. We are preparing our directory for a presentation to investors tomorrow.
I am changing 50 pages to DIRECTORY pages and choosing the FILTERING by CATEGORY…. the same default 10 CATEGORIES show up there and we can’t figure out where to edit those! We need to be able to customize these 50 pages with their appropriate ITEM LISTINGS! HELP.

We know , Wordpress has its own post categories. besides these, Javo theme has its own items categories ,which has location option. Strongly suggest:Javo theme can set page options which can show contents that combine post cetegories and location options.

Further to above , first of all, I should clarify my meaning. Wordpress post category ,which is just articles(for example like essay ,blog )category , is different with Javo Item categoy .if I dno’t use javo theme ,wordpress post category (created by wordpress )is still there under other themes . javo item category and item location are created only under Javo theme.
For Item location and Item categoy , users may need to write some essays and blogs directly connected to Item location or/and Item categoy.
Suggest: jave theme can set post page filter options which combine Wordpress post category with Item location or/and Item categoy.

We are nearly ready to launch the website and we were wondering what we need to do to have a process in place.
We have all 150 listings on the website using the admin username.
We would like a process in place where the listing owners can visit their listings and claim the listing.
Once they claim, what happens from here with regards to payment etc, what and how do we set this up?

Hi guys,
I’ve seen a major issue which is not making this theme useable on Mobile.
When you use the search functionality on the Home page and in all the other sections ‘Search on Map’ you will see a map displaying the results as pointers. When a single pointer is touched, only a few few lines of information is visable with no link or anything for the user to find out more.
The only thing displayed is the name of the listing (no link) address, and driving directions. Surely you will want to find out more about a listing before driving there!
Your desktop version allows the user to view the search results and when clicking on an individual listing you have view breif, view detail and contact.
Hope this can be patched up asap.

I need some assistance. Looks like Visual Composer is a little buggy. Can’t DUPLICATE buttons/text blocks and move them to other rows. It produces this awesome DRAGGG effect that takes over the page. Happens on all browsers. I’m sure this is something fixed in subsequent updates with the plugin. Still supporting this theme? Able to help me out?

Thanks. I set up a new page meanwhile and that seems to do the trick. Certain pages got stuck in purgatory it appears. You know what I’m an easy one…. not critical right now as I bypassed it. Doesn’t seem to be an issue with NEW pages moving forward. Chalk that up to normal WP glitch. AGAIN I’m grateful for your awesome, quick response!!!!!!

Pre-sales question: The event section… I like the idea that users can post their own events, but isn’t it a bit strange that you cannot give an event a time/date?
If someone is looking for events then they would expect to be able to perhaps sort events by date order, or what month the event is on etc.
Is this something you plan for the future, or am I missing something?

Yes, I was wondering if the option of typing in a location was possible just like the desktop version. The problem being that once I get a bunch of City and States scrolling through all of the options become very difficult. So you would be able to start entering text and it would auto populate the options.
Yes, we have new version (V2.0). there is a search form for location typing with auto suggestion from google. it should be released soon
