First, how did you animate the text in the header on the top menu / layer slider demo? Which shortcode should I use?
Second, we are having a bug where the video background on the header shows a play button when loaded on mobile, but doesn’t play the video when you click on it.

It is not a bug, it is how we set, we don’t display video background in mobile view, because it is normally visible. You switched that off for mobile. If you want you can hide that section for mobile at all, by custom css code.

There many animations in various places of the theme. I guees you mean the one on layer slider, if yes, then it is edited directly in layer slider “Layer Slider WP” on the left column in admin

What is the recommended height and width for images on the http://demo.mental-wp.azelab.com/ demo.
I’m having image optimization problems and I and need to specify the dimensions.
I would like know the dimensions for the team member images and the portfolio images. Or perhaps I need to specify the dimensions in the shortcodes?
Please advise as this issue so causing the site to run slow and crash.
Dear afrounited, you can see dimension of original image of gallery image or any other images on demo page if you right click on image and select “open image” in your web browser.
Images shouldn’t be heavy. Just make sure they are not more that 200kb. You should save them for web.
All web browser all to see image location.
If your browser is Firefox download Firebug plugin, it help to inspect elements on the page.
If your browser is Chrome inspection of elements tool is built-in feature of Chrome.

To add photo to gallery, just go to Gallery post page, and there is “Featured Image” box on the bottom right of that page.
If you want to add slider for your gallery post, like the one you saw in our demo, then add beside feature image, you should click “Add Media” button which is just above main description box on gallery past page, and in popup window create new gallery and images.

Hi, Firstly you should create gallery categories, and then gallery items. In admin panel, there is navigation panel on the left. There you will see gallery menu item.
Once you created some gallery items and choosen what gallery category and filters they belong, you should create a page, as usually it is done in Wordpress, there is shortcode ultimate button, click it, then swith to Mentas shortcode, and click on Metas Gallery link, it will open popup where you will be able to choose paramets for you gallery, then click ok button, and generated shortcode will appear in description box. That’s it. This will be your gallery page.
If you are newer in Wordpress, I’d recommend you to import demo content, and follow instruction, this would be more easier for you.
I created galleries with other templates, but with Mentas I’m having difficulty. I have taken the steps you indicate me. I know how to use the MENTAS GALLERY, but when I want to create a new gallery and category in the left menu, go into “new gallery”, “New Post gallery” appears. Is there where I add the images and categories ?, have to upload images one by one? the next step with mints gallery know him. thanks

I tried to use css in the “skins” tab concerned gallery:

If you want to hide zoom icon, that option already available under theme settings. No need for css trick

HI I was wondering if it’s possible to left align the quote shortcode, reduce the font size to regular paragraph size and limit it’s size to half the page width?

In your first 2 paragraphs are customization requests, you can customize your theme. W have a custom CSS field in theme options for users to easily insert CSS to customize the theme, and child theme if they want more indepth customization.
There are plenty free scroll back plugins for Wordpress. You can download and install the one you like. Here is one of them https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-scroll-to-top/screenshots/ you can google others too “Wordpress scroll to top plugin”.We use font icons for icons. If you wish other icons, you can substitute them with css customizaton.
You last question, no there is not such option in the theme. However you can customize up to your needs with some custom code.

Hi there, I have a question before purchasing this theme. I want to install it on a dummy domain for me and my foreign client to both have easy access and experiment with modifications. My question is: is it easy to export the customised theme settings so I can quickly and conveniently install them on the client’s primary domain when we are ready? On another themeforest theme I own the option to export theme settings was integrated in the customisation panel. That, combined with wordpress’s own structural export function meant I could upload the customised theme to a new domain very easily. Please let us know. Kind regards,

1. SVG background works perfectly for section. It doesn’t work for you because svg picture doesn’t exist on your server http://www.mystudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/kav.svg Please make sure that image uploaded correctly.Also I noticed your webserver is not Apache, but IIS, make sure your web server support SVG
2. I should see your demo to see a problem. Possibly you entered something wrong or so on.
The svg does exist on my server (the link above is wrong, it’s this link: http://www.studiornb.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/kav-03.svg) but as a background it does not work
This time svg is opened. In order to check why it doesn’t work as background we have to check on your website. Please email me a page URL where it is not displayed.
Here is demo url of our test page with your background http://mental-wp-test.azelab.com/test/The only reason why it can’t be shown is less text when entered, when container height is small.
Just make that container height more, so your svg to be shown.
Quick response! about the scrolling: Where are these settings? are they in the page itself /menu in theme setting/ someplace else? (can’t show the site because it’s not online yet.)

Sure! In latest version 1.0.2 Logo has more options.
- logo is displayed in actual size you upload - you can turn on/off tagline - if you turn off tagline more space for logo height, up to 40px. - you can set increase place for logo in top menu, before space was limited, now admin can set logo space

Yes, google map are styled by 3rd party tool, then generated code entered to shortcode area under Json box.
Menu can be centered by custom css code. Css code entered to custom css box under settings.
I’m getting the following error when clicking Load More on the Masonry Shortcode
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) plugins.min.js?ver=4.1:16 error”
There should’t be any error, maybe something wrong configured on your server or so on.
Please send us your website url, admin login/password so that we can check your issue.
By the way, with account you logged it is marked that you didn’t purchased this theme.

How do I manually install the plugins that came with this theme? Installing the recommended plugins fails. I normally have to upload every plugin on my multiste I tried to zip the resources\html\assets\plugins> layersslider folder and upload it but it failed.

If you failed to install required plugins for some reason, you can still manually install them as it is usually done in Wordpress. Just search in Google or Youtube “How to install Wordpress plugin” in case you don’t know.
Only Layer slider plugin is inside mental/plugins/ directory under name LayerSlider.zip
All other required plugins names are below, you can find and install them directly from your wordpress plugin page.

If you still can’t install any plugin. This is then not a theme issue. This is eigher something not correctly configured in your Wordpress itself, or server configuration. Per example directory persmission for write, or maximum upload size restriction.

You can keep menu bar to be always opened only in big screen. This option exist to choose under Theme Settings/Menu/Menu Bar Please look at screenshot http://screencast.com/t/cjlrQCgggqvu
You can also reduce container width from 1200px to 960px. Under Theme Settings/Layout. In this case menu bar will be opened not only in big screen but also in normal screens.
In small screen we can’t keep it opened because there is no space for it.
Another problem (unless I’m missing something) is when I’m using Home with the Filter Menu on top and the whole page is grid. That’s what I want as the start page. So you click on a box and get the Read More that slides open. That’s good. But when you click Read More and go to the final Gallery Post there is no Filter Menu above anymore and it’s really annoying because it feels like I just want to go back to the Filter Bar that was at top. Is there some setting I’m missing? Why take away that Filter Menu that was on top when you’re at the final Gallery Post? There’s no place to go but over to the left menu.
When you click more, you land to single gallery item page, and there is not filters because it is single item, and there is nothing to filter.
If you want to keep visitors always with filters, please use expanding gallery version, and turn off “Read More”. In version 1.0.2 we added feature to show full size image in expanding version, so you can switch on this option under Theme Settings/Gallery/Expanding Gallery.

I have the latest theme 1.0.2. I got rid of the Read More button (so people still have the option for filters above). But I don’t want to switch to the full size image because it takes away discription and title. I’d like them to read everything below the image that is in the final Gallery Post but it just gives an excerpt not full discription. Looking around for a setting to show everything not just an excerpt. Can’t seem to find an option.
I noticed you have a Load More button but when I add the Read More button and it goes to the final Gallery post with full discription there’s no Load More button anymore on that post. It just seems like there is a problem landing on that last post. There’s no place to go after that and people seem stuck there. Even I get stuck there and I’m the one building the site.
You can place as many text as you needed in description field. It is not necessary to enter into excerp field.

There might be some misconfiguration on your admin side, and without seing we can’t assist you.
I like your theme but how do I get rid of the Date and Author on each Gallery post? Is that supposed to be a sidebar? Or Widget? I tried some options but I can’t seem to get rid of it or put something else there.

There is a box under theme settings, Skins/Custom CSS, you can enter there css code which will hide this blocks. Regarding your reply to my support issues where you state that I should get my hosting provider to switch from Microsoft Windows to Linux to enable you to resolve the issues I reported.
My hosting account is used by other clients and switching OS is not a viable option.
Please advise if you can replicate and resolve the issues I reported, to enable the product to work properly on Windows hosting.
If your Wordpress theme does not support Microsoft Windows that should be made clear before people purchase the product.

Just noticed that another client Johnnyquickpay is reporting the same issue I have with the LOAD MORE option not working, so that issue is looking very much like a bug.

I didn’t say that our theme is not compatible with Windows hosting. Wordpress itself is not so perfect to used on Windows machine. If you see this topic on official Wordpress site https://wordpress.org/support/topic/windows-problems you would see that it is not recommended to use Windows/IIS for Wordpress.
Also here please read official Wordpress Requirements: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/as you see they require to use Apache or Nginx web server. Windows most time come with IIS webserver.
Despite of this, we still want to assist you. We just asked you if possible to switch hosting to Linux. If not, then we assist you.
Please send us your hosting host address, username, and password.
We have just found your site was misconfigured. It has wrong paths. I’ve emailed you about this. Once you email us your hosting access details, we will help to fix your wordpress path, and after that load more and other issues will work too.
Another word, problem is not in load more, problem in wrong paths of website. Somewhere yourdomain.com/sross/ and somewhere yourdomain.com/sross/wordpress
1. I need to add some a javascript code to the page I’m using in order for a widget to work. I’m using the one page theme (my homepage is Home V3 – Top Menu / Video Background). Where should I add the code? and would it be overwritten when I update the theme?
2. I the demo, when pressing on a menu item the page scrolls nicely to the relevant part in the page. In my site it just “jumps” there without scrolling. What should I add?

I think just for adding javascript file, best way is to add it as a plugin.
