Hello, I have a small question. I need to change the Video category order (the tabs) on the Video Template page. I need them not by name the way they are now, but to sort them by date or by ID please. I know this is not support issue, but i really need that and I could not find how to do it… I will be very grateful if you help.

Hello I’m very interested in your theme, but I have 3 questions. 1. Can I upload my own videos directly and not have to embed youtube or vimeo? 2. I’m looking to minimize the content on pages and I noticed on your video that there are a lot of lines of information to fill in that I don’t need including links. I basically want to strip the content down. Is it possible to remove items from pages I don’t need? 3. What audio and video media do you support?
Hi, thanks for being interested in JamSessiont theme. Related to your questions: 1. At this moment only youtube&vimeo are supported by the video custom post type. Of course, you can add embedded video to any post, but this based on the core WordPress functionality. 2. The video post type require inly the video url to embed and normal text. What do you mean by a lot? 3. The audio& media supported are the same types supported by WordPress. The audio section on the album post type is based on WordPress functionality.
Sorry, let me rephrase question 2. I meant that in your video tutorial on creating pages there is a lot of info to fill in for each page that I’d like to leave out. For example, on the discography I don’t need the release date, buy links, description or video. I also don’t need social media links. Can I strip down my different pages to have only what I need to display?
While most of the fields can be let empty (like buy links, description, or video), there are fields that must be filled (like the featured image on slide custom post type). You can try filling only what is necessary, and if something does not work, feel free to send me a mail, I will assist you.
When creating a music Album page, in the Album Settings can I leave the following blank: Released, Artist, Number of discs, Producer, Label?
On the Discography page do I have to use an Album Category and can I create my own Album Category?

Hello, The theme was not tested with revolution slider. Related to security reasons, all the input data is sanitised and validated.

Hi, Seems that you have a old php version installed on your server. Please send me a mail and I will send you the workaround for this. Anyway, I will prepare a new update that will use another php function to replace the usage of getTimestamp.

Just wondering what the optimum resolution for images on the main slider are?
Ive added some but when you change the size of the screen and view on different resolutions the images are all over the place.

Hi, the images should have a good resolution to fit on the biggest screen sizes. For instance, the images used in the demo are 1600×1200 or something close to that.

Hello, I just bought your theme, and want to change pages background colors in plain white for all pages instead of black as in the demo. I did as mention in the documentation but it doesn’t seem to work, i cannot manage to change the initial background. Pages are still as in your demo, black. - Also is there a possibility to change the size of letters, and eventually integrate other google fonts, for the menu , front page and any other pages? how can i do that? - Also i have an issue when i upload my own logo, i do not have the transparent background anymore (?). And it look terrible when i play the video, as it show. How can i have a transparent logo background with my own logo? - Is there a way to change the color of the social icons @ the bottom of the page, it is in black and i want it in grey? Because the pages does not have a black background, the inner pages are using a image as background. Everything mentioned in the documentation should work. You can change the size of the letters or change the google fonts by extending the theme through a child theme. If you need more details, please use the dedicated support email. Related to the logo: if you upload a logo with transparent background, you will have a transparent background. The menu transparency can pe handled from theme customizer. The color for the social icons can be changed also by extending the theme through a child theme. For more details about a child theme please use the dedicated support email. Thanks
Hi, I don’t manage to change my website title on google. I used the plugins SEO Wordpress by Yoast and All In One SEO, but it’s never good. If I change the title, it appears ok in WP but no change in Google. Is there any problem with this theme ? Thanks a lot, Rem

2) I have a problem with dates: when I add any post (pages, audio, event) containing the dates, it gives the fatal error.
Example in the event page: Fatal error: Call to undefined method DateTime::getTimestamp() in /mounted-storage/...../themes/jamsession/single-js_events.php on line 49.
If i add the post (event, etc…) without date – everything is ok, but post without date is nonsense

Hi, we are just about to purchase a license for your theme and want to discuss two issues. 1. During cell phone testing (real Iphone 4 – iOS 7), after playing a video from slider in frontpage user can’t return to home, as an extra layer adds itself above it and neither X button nor the menu can be touched and activated. The only way to return is to reload the URL, which is not really very responsive. 2. Again in supersized script based slider, background image is far too large (2MB-3000+ horizontal pixels). It’s just simply overkill for responsive design. I think different resolutions should be provided and loaded based on viewport. Any way to fix these beforehand? Thanks for your time.
Hi, Related to point 1: I am aware of this issue, on iPhone, when pressing the play button, the youtube application takes control over the video, but this is not related to theme responsiveness, or with theme code, but seems to be related with operating system behavior. When you press play in the main slider, the video is opened in a iframe, and seems that IOS handles this situation differently. I can still close the video after the video is finished. Related to point 2: The slider is responsive as well and the slides are defined by the user. You are saying that the background image is far too large, but this is not correct, since the slides are defined by the user, so you will choose the image and the resolution you want to use for the slider, and size for that images. The slider just takes care to display the image centered as full screen background, for each possible resolution.
