Beautiful, nicely featured theme! Congratulations. I have a few concerns before purchasing. It should be a quick read.

1) I see that you are using the Events tab for coupons and discounts, too. I need ‘special offers’ but I also need traditional events (physical and online events) as a prominent feature. I am trying to figure out how to have both, offers and events, but have them separate, searchable and displayed as lists or on a map.

This scenario is presuming that everyone who has an offer and/or event is, first, a listing owner: Can ‘events’ and ‘offers’ be tags and would they be searchable and displayed as a list or map? And if so, can I make menu items of ‘events’ and ‘offers’ so that they are highlighted and directly accessible? And can listing owners change their tags on-demand?

Another idea: Can I use your ‘events’ as my ‘offers’ and then add a WP plugin to cover events, separately? I understand that events wouldn’t show up, automatically, on the listing page, but the listing owner can make it known. I know that you cannot answer with absolute certainty because of the potential of theme/plugin conflicts. Two log-ins is a minus, here.

Any thoughts?

2) Do you support sub-categories or are tags meant as a replacement?

3) Can I set up custom fields, uniquely, for each category?

4) I read that you plan subscriptions as a payment option, which I need. I wonder about coupons to pay for listings as well? I think that coupons can be set up through Paypal but it’d be much easier on the WP side.

When it comes to the pop-up info windows on the map, yes, the three buttons work fine. It is the should-be-clickable content in the pop-up info window and in the ‘brief’ window that is not clickable. I mean the website name and email address shown in these windows. The way that the pop-up works is so very nice, it’d be great if the user could just click on the website name, if they want. And in the future, as you’ve planned, the phone number on mobile phones. That is, unless you intentionally do not make these clickable. I am using Firefox, if that matters.

I guess that I do not understand whether the content in these windows is generated, automatically, from fields, or if it is written by the listing owner. I suppose that I should log in to the demo to find out.

I am left, only, with the question as to whether there is a way to place the contact form that is the ‘contact’ button in the pop-up info window on the map, on the listing detail page as well?

This is an impressive theme, Rob. You, all, should be proud.

I am sorry for my poor understanding. popup info window > 3 buttons > brief ==> brief window. do you mean the site url, tel should be linked to website and make phone call (when it’s on mobile)? if so, yes it’s already on our plan list. it should be done in near future.

There is a test demo site on our demo. please have a look.

there is already a contact form on info window when you click “contact”. we will replace it to contact 7 form. it will be much flexible. there is also contact form on location tab on single item pages.

dear javo team 1.what is the plugin to add a user dashboard in this? Means like if example harry reviewed or commented a listing , i need a user dashboard for harry which will show his past ratings,reviews, account password etc…example in zomato.com

2. Which is the plugin by which example – if harry comments or reviews a listing it should show on his facebook home page. Means it will show on harry s facebook page his recent activity on the website.

3. Which is the plugin by which a user can not only review /rate but also upload a picture in the particular listing he wants….example in zomato.com

1. We created the user dashboard. there is no plugins we used. you can’t see users password in wordpress themes. even on database. it’s all of wordpress. however there is a plugin to login your users account when you need. (switch users plugin) we will open a server for front-form testing a demo site in a few hours. please try to have a look.

2. We have not tested any plugin for it. I think some of visitors might not be happy with sharing automatically.

3. If anyone wants to post items (listings), they need to purchase a package which you (admin) setup. so It should be fine to manage them.

dear javo team thank u for your prompt response.. 1. in point no 1 above the user that im talking about is any visitor, Are u sure there is a visitor dashboard for any visitor who signs in and in his dashboard( visitor dashboard) everyone can see his reviews /comments or photos…...what i meant is will there be a separate visitor dashboard created automatically when any visitor to the site logins in via facebook? or there is a plugin for dat or it is already inbuilt

3. For point no 3.. i meant that how can any visitor in the website upload there photo in the particular listing after signing via facebook. is there a plugin for it or custom coding only..

I guess you are talking about profile pages. we have front-end form with front-end dashboard for users. however we don’t have profile pages. it will be ready soon. yes facebook will be fine to sign up.

4. I am not really sure what you mean? the price for the our theme file and licence to run a site.

Hi Rob, a little about “Claim Listings”. Who has the ability to claim a listing? When is the “claim listing” button visible? Are all listings added by the admin claimable and those added by all registered users not claimable? Thanks!

There is an option to able / disable claim option. when it’s on, it’s visible. when your users want to claim and you approve it. the account will be registered and the claim button will not be visible.

All is working fine, except one thing, on the page brooklyn with map, no matter what I do the map always show brooklyn ? do you know how we van change that to show a different area ? I have deleted all the items from there and they are all in athens, greece but still the map shows brooklyn ?

Hello. I bought the theme a month ago. I translated it into Spanish with Poedit and everything was fine. A few days ago I installed the update to version 2.0 From there does not recognize me all translations, some words do not translate. Eg: “move”, “brief”, “detail”, “popup”. Also on the part of the map of Google, words such as “Driving” Bicycling ”,” Transit “Walking” ...

Translated all in version 1.3. After the upgrade, which I followed the steps through your tutorial video, I happen this problem.

I have also had trouble viewing Map Box style on V2 in safari. I have never had trouble in previous versions. Does work in Firefox though.

Hi, After updating to v2 the Map Box Style page doesn’t work in Safari. It was working perfectly until I updated to v2. The problem is only in Safari since in other browsers it works.

Are you aware that the top menu styles are reversed when you get to the item detail screen? At the top, the navigation bar is transparent and when you scroll down, it becomes solid white and the text white as well. So you cannot see the text. Not sure if you knew.

I have been using Javo Directory almost since it was first published and I have been really please with it? The few non-critical bugs I did find were reported and rectified in reasonable time by the support team who responded efficiently to enquiries I had.

Each release the theme gets better and better and for the money it is great value and more powerful than I would ordinarily expect.

I’d happily recommend this theme.

Testing and using v2 looking outstanoutstanding the dev are working really hard to fix all the minor issue and I am convinced that by end of the week will be really good you can buy with confidence and start configuring

You can setup our maps (wide, box, tab) as a homepage. we have similar one as the page you gave. if you see our item list page, it looks similar. item list page can be sorted by what you need.

I have a few pre-sales questions if that’s ok, it’s a great theme but we run a site with banner ads for monetization, these are generally placed in the header and sidebar areas on the site

1. Can banners be placed in the header area on Javo also can a section be set up on the homepage for smaller customer ads with links?

2. When do you plan to allow users to upload logos? 9/10 of our businesses want to use their logo on their page, I know you are planning this, but do you have an eta for implementation?

3. Reviews and Ratings should be combined in one tab – this is very confusing for users wanting to leave reviews generally – will you be combining the 2?

1.You can place any banners or linked images on homepage. we don’t have any banner spot on header part yet.

2. Yes we have a plan for it. we may work on this part with our another single page. It should on this coming main update (not maintenance updates) or next update.

3. We have some suggestions about it. we are considering about that. however you can disable them. all of tab menus are able to disable.
