I have a pre-sale question: I have a client that needs list view instead of grid view on the cart (which yours has already very nicely styled), But my question is: Is there a way on the list view to include an add to cart button other than on the image ** with also the ability to select a quantity? I don’t see this on any demo versions and I want to know if this is possible to add – Thank you!
Hi there, It’s not possible to do what you’ve described out of the box with the theme. It may be possible with some customization but you would need to do this yourself or hire someone to do it for you.

Hi, I bought your theme this week and I am trying to change the color of the testimonial slider. I can change the background color put the triangle at the bottom still stays blue. Can you tell me how to change the color of the triangle? Thanks!
Hi there!
We’ll check out why that’s the case. For now if you add this to Captiva Theme Options > Custom Code it’ll change it
.testimonials-wrap:after {
border-top-color: #000;
}
Just replace the color (black in this example) with your own hex.

Thanks, that worked just great!
I recently purchased the template, and I wanted to replicate the Carousel like you have on your demo, but I am unable too. I looked at the source and it said it was a Owl Carousel, and you have so many plugin required for your theme, that I spent hours trying to figure that out and downloaded a bunch of owl this and owl that plugins. Then I figured out that there is a product link that will display on the one you guys have, but it doesn’t operate how your guys have it where it shows a front and back, and a tab pops up with the name of product. Please what do I do to get it like yours?
Hi there,
You don’t need to install any other owl plugins. As long as you just install the plugins you were prompted to install upon theme activation that should be sufficient to re-create our demo site.
Which carousel are specifically referring to? Did you import the demo data and look at the theme install docs?
Shoot me an email to support@commercegurus.com with a link to your site and your WP admin user/pass along with a specific link to the carousel you’re attempting to re-create.
Thanks,
Colm
In the general settings, I have set my settings to non-responsive for everything with a fixed width of 1200 pixels, but the pages still seem to be acting responsively. Shoulldn’t the positions be locked in place if I choose a boxed width?
Any suggestions? My website is chromeskincare.com
Hi there,

Hi, I just tried to center my text in the shopping cart area for the items, and even in the single item option, and just a little while later, it magically un-saved them and everything was left justified ( the name of the item and the cart icon – using Style #3) again. Very frustrating. Any ideas why this is happening?
Hi there,
I’m not 100% sure what you’re trying to achieve from your comment. Can you send me an email to support@commercegurus.com with your site url and WP admin user/pass along with a screenshot of your issue.
thanks,
Colm
Is there an option built in to change position of logo/navigation? I’d like to center the logo and center navigation.
Hi edesignwork
Centering the logo isn’t an option yet – you can put the navigation beneath the logo if you like though rather than floating it alongside it.
We’ll look at including a logo position variable in a future release.

Hi,
I am your Captiva customer and my site is www.lotuslush.com.
Under WooCommerce setting, Title is “PayPal” and PayPal email is “mypaypalemail@yahoo.com”. However after I checkout, it is directing me to PayPal page and I see “mypaypalemail@yahoo.com” on top left corner of PayPal page and at the bottom of the page I see “Cancel and return to mypaypalemail@yahoo.com”.
How can I replace the “mypaypalemail@yahoo.com” on redirected PayPal page to “lotuslush”?
Regards Srikanth
Hi there,
I responded to your email.

Hi,
We are having the worst time seeing updates after we make changes to the template. We have to empty the cache on our browsers and empty the cache wordpress every time we make a change. What is going on, and how can we fix this immediately? We’re about ready to give up on this.
Hi there vincentfb1,
Sorry to hear about your issues.
First of all, issues like this have nothing to do with the theme. Captiva has no caching mechanisms whatsoever. Your issues most likely are related to whatever caching plugins you have installed. My recommendation would be to completely disable and delete any caching plugins you have installed while you’re making any changes.
When you have completed your changes you can then reinstall your caching plugins. If you have no caching plugins installed then your host is most likely adding a caching layer on your behalf and they should be in a position to tell you how to bust caches or get around them while in development.
Please try the steps above first. If you’re still having issues after that then drop me an email to support@commercegurus.com with your details.

Hello,
The CPU resources were limited for my site because of sudden spikes in CPU usage from 0% to 90%, causing the connection to the server to reset often while I am working on building the pages. I contacted my hosting company and they said that some of the scripts on the site require a lot of CPU, when they run multiple times it can cause the spikes. They suggested I either recode the site so it uses less CPU or switch out the plugins, run the site for an hour or two, check the usage logs until I determine which of these is causing the issue and remove it. Is there any way you can help?
Hi there,
It’s highly unlikely the theme is causing this problem. It’s much more likely to be one of your plugins. If you send me your WP site url and admin user/pass to support@commercegurus.com I’ll take a quick look.
Also, it could that your host is not adequate/sufficient for your requirements. See our most recent blog post on this.

Hi there
They are ‘content strips’ – you’ll find the shortcode in Visual Composer. It’s easier really to install the included demo data – that will create an exact replica of the homepage that you can look at.
If your site is already set up you could install it on a local version of WordPress.

ok, demo loaded but does not seem to display the banner.
Do you see grey or black squares? These are just image placeholders – you need to replace them with your actual images.
If you see something else please send me your site details to support@commercegurus.com
Hi,
Do you know when the next available update will be coming out ? With search in mobile as well ?
Thank you
Hi adrian_b,
We have a beta of 1.5 nearing completion which has updates for Visual Composer and Layer Slider and some other minor improvements. Search on mobile is still on the roadmap but not in the next release. 1.5 should be out within the next 7 days.

Having a problem with the first footer and the second footers not working. Can someone please let me know what I’m missing. I’m at chromeskincare.com and I can give you information. Searching through all of these comments for an answer is very time consuming.
Hi there
Are they active in Theme Options > Footer Settings?
They’re widget areas – you drop in whatever you wish within Appearance > Widgets
It’s all covered in the documentation also – that’s in the the /documentation folder of the original zip.

hi, Cannot seem to get the top minicart to display payment amount including tax. Can u help? Thanks
Hi there,
This is not a function of the theme – this is more with how you configure pricing in WooCommerce. You would be best to get in touch with the WooCommerce support team

How did you make the “Get free shipping when you spend just $50!” section just under the banner? Also how did you make the two image sections on the home page that have buttons where you can see more one of them says”View the Summer 2014 Collection” that area is something I need and can’t figure out. Thanks
Hi there,
Re: banner – this is known as a Captiva Message box and is created within Visual Composer. We actually include this with the demo data. Just edit the homepage page with the Backend editor.

Colm
Okay thanks what about the second part of my question? “Also how did you make the two image sections on the home page that have buttons where you can see more one of them says”View the Summer 2014 Collection” that area is something I need and can’t figure out.”
Hi,
These are also included in the same page in the demo data. They’re using the “Captiva Content Strip” shortcode.
The best way to figure out how to do them is to look at the demo data.

Colm
How do I look at the demo data? I don’t want to import the demo into my site as I have already started building.
Thanks
Hi there,
It would be a good idea to setup a separate instance of WordPress and import the demo data into it. You can then use that instance as a reference point for adding new content to your main build.

Hi folks. Loving the theme. Any idea why my Shopping Bag in the header is showing the Pound sign instead of the Dollar Sign. It’s set to the U.S. Dollar in WooCommerce? Thanks in advance.
Hi there,
This is most likely due to you possibly having changed currency and still have an old browser session open.
Either completely kill your browser sessions and reopen or open your site in an incognito window to see it load correctly.

How can we make a page where only the on sale products are displayed? Thanks
Hi there,
We actually include a page with the Captiva demo data which has the relevant WooCommerce shortcode on it for this
here’s an example of it on the demo site
http://captivatheme1.commercegurus.com/shortcodes/product-types/If you edit this page in your site setup you’ll see the WooCommerce shortcode you need.

Is there anyway to make the header sticky on mobile? Sticky works great for pc viewing but we would love this, I can’t seem to find a setting.
Great theme, good job!
Hi there godsofglass,
Thanks for getting in touch!
This is not a setting at present. We’ll consider it for a future release.

Nice theme…However, I set the header background to be blue…and now I am having an issue getting my links elsewhere to display properly. I have to set my links (active, hover, etc) as white so they appear properly in the blue header. Only problem is…white links don’t show up anywhere else properly unless I change the background colors, which i do not want to do. There should be a way to adjust the header link navigation colors and NOT affect the links elsewhere in the theme. Am I missing something or do I need some custom CSS to achieve this. Also…is there any way to align the navigation to the right side of the header? It’s too close to the logo…thanks!
Hi Kasey!

Hi Guys,
I know you’re all probably having a Christmas break now but I’ve a melt down with my shopping cart, and I’m not sure how to fix it.
When checking out, where the list of items normally appears it’s just showing [object Object]. Because of this the payment options aren’t showing and you can’t progress with the checkout.
I have emailed you, so if you could get back to me at your next convenience.
Many thanks, and Merry Christmas!
Ash
Hi Ash
Do you have the BWP Minify Plugin installed by any chance? If you do could you disable it and see if that fixes it.

Hi Simon,
No I havent, any other ideas? I did email you the login details of you wanted to take a look.
Thanks for the quick reply.
