According to my host and a plugin provider, there could be a problem with my theme. I’ve tested deactivating all plugins – no change, same result:
-Logging in from the WP login page results in white/blank page, Saving a post/page/portfolio results in white/blank page.
-Similarly, activating or deactivating a plugin does the same thing. Removing the # symbol after saving, the page will then display. Clicking preview opens a new page – white/blank page.
-Right click on preview and open in a new tab does open the page normally.

BTW – this error in console: “The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the page must be declared in the document or in the transfer protocol.”

Hey Nectar,
We spoke once before about RocketLoader interfering with the theme (the loader spins indefinitely). CloudFlare is asking which particular scripts might be problematic, and which handle the loader (I have it set to “Standard,” not ajax). Please let me know so I can troubleshoot further.

The init.js file handles that but it’s possible the script error could be caused from others – if you can share your URL I’d be glad to take a further look

Ive bought a few VC-plug-ins, but they requrie the latest updated VC. Will you provide the VC-module as separate plug-in in future releases, or is it so modified that you cannot update it?

Noticed something a bit weird and wondering if you could shed some light on it, and perhaps offer some help. I purchased Visual Composer seperately and want to use it since it’s much newer than what’s included in Salient; fixes and other stuff. When using it, and selecting the correct option in Salient to use the raw plugin, the blog header social links don’t show the icons, just the post counts. Am I missing something or is this just because you custom coded something in the header code to add the fonts that can’t be understood using the raw plugin. If so, any suggestions or help?

Was it BuddyPress or BBPress that your theme was ready for? And do you have any tutorials on this one?
Say if I wanted a log-in/ log/ on – you are now logged in as…? in the second-top header, how would I do that, without having to re-install upon each update? Can this be done solely using CSS?
Or is that something you can be asked to implement in the future? I believe I am not the only one who would be happy for such a feature

OK, and how would the chances be, 1-10, that you in the near future would consider this option? There must be many of your 26.000+ customers who would want to implement BP, and would need a place to log-on and off?
The basically functionality of the plugin should work the same as a default WP theme, there’s just no extra integration done within Salient. It’s still a candidate as a possible option for updates

Re: the highly tailored version of VC – I’m choosing a theme using VC so that if I ever have to switch themes there won’t be a problem with my content being “locked in.” When you say your theme uses a “highly tailored version of VC” will that tailoring affect content portability in any way? many thanks!

I can’t seem to get the new product rollover feature working.
We’ve enabled the ‘add to cart text on hover’ and it removes the add to cart button, however now the pricing doesn’t appear on rollover.
Are you able to help?
Update – I’ve had to change back to the original version as we launch a product tomorrow, however you assistance would be fantastic.

One question – we want our portfolio items to have the transparent header with a NectarSlider at the very top (Like our homepage) http://www.impimg.com/ .
We’ve removed the Project Title Container with
.project-title .container { display: none!important; }
But it doesn’t allow us to position the slider at the very top of the page.
Is this possible?

I totally forgot to ask in my previous post if it was possible to place everything on one page like the home page?
For example, is there a way to set up the theme so that all the content is on one page so when you click on the nav buttons at the top the site scrolls to that particular section??

2. In the font weights for Open Sans you should be a “regular” option to load that weight

I’m interested in experimenting with the layout on my site and want to make a backup copy of my child theme by using the One-Click Child Theme plugin but it says that the it hasn’t been tested with this particular theme.

Hey – I personally haven’t tested that either. I would give it a go as I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. If it fails you can always just ftp your current child theme to your computer as well

I there a number of elements on my site that are not working or showing up when I view in Safari- is this a common problem?
Also, in Explorer, I have elements that are not rendering CSS that is showing up as it should in Firefox and Chrome. When I inspect it in IE, the CSS is there, but it’s stricken out. Any ideas why this would happening?

Hmm…I just recently downloaded the “latest version” for windows from the apple site, which is showing me to be version 5.1?! So perhaps that is the problem…
Now, with regards to IE- I’m using v11 for that, and what I’m seeing on my end is that some of the CSS isn’t rendering in IE the way it does in Firefox or Chrome. If you were to look at the “About Us” and “Locations” page in the link above, I’m seeing a difference in the diagonals I have set up- It’s only showing the first one, not the second in IE. When I inspect it, it’s showing me the lines of CSS, but they are all stricken through. Any ideas on this one?

2. Unfortunately I can’t troubleshoot this because it’s a custom design element you coded and not part of the theme itself
Love the theme! We’re super close to being done with it and ready to launch a site. Real quick though using WooCommerce, under a product how can we make drop down menus for say sizing option have the same look and feel as the quantity and add to cart button? We’ve noticed it looks close in IE but not in Firefox.
