I’ve worked with Divi before and now with Avada, and I was amazed by how good Avada is, really, and I like it very much. My client bought the theme that’s why is not showing up as purchased for my account. I mentioned Divi, because both themes are quite similar, however I find Avada to be better, no doubt and that’s the answer for over 100k sales.
Client asked me to change portfolio rollover links to custom ones. I will use custom fields to generate custom links for each post, however I’m looking at the code and is a bit complex for me, can you point to the file location where the the existing rollover functions are specified !? Thank you very much.

Presales Question:
I’m not so happy with the menu in mobile size. What are the configuration options for it? Especially when a menu item has a submenu, it is only reachable by the small arror rather than the full button. Is there a way to change this behaviour?

Well this is correct behavior. A submenu item has to be activated to be open. And the whole parent level cannot be a trigger because the parent level may also be a link. So you have to click on the right side by the arrow to expand it out.
So for example, you have main menu item of HOME then a submenu with HOME 1. HOME is already a link, so when you tap that area it loads HOME page. This is why you need to tap the right arrow to expand the submenu to se HOME 1.
We are going to look into a different option for this, but that is setup correctly for those reasons.

Hello ,we need your help immediately . I recently purchased your theme but Wordpress 4.0 / 4.0.1 / 4.1 version theme does not work in a stable manner . Fusion Builder also does not work correctly in those three version so we can not edit our site .please can you help us in this regard The error is as the follows: Under the fusion builder and from the builder elements when I pressing on edit button of any object the editing menu stays at the back and if I clicked anywhere after that the editing menu closing automatically We are waiting for your help

After reading the FAQ it is still not quite clear to us so I kindly ask for your help. The client wants to offer free and paid streamed videos on his website. The free videos are open to all. The paid videos require a monthly subscription that gives access to the videos streams. The hosting and the payment of the videos will be done by a third party company on their servers, but the interface to the end user is planned to be in a WordPress site potentially using the Avada theme. In this WordPress site it is planned to integrate a video player that then streams the paid videos from the streaming provider to the end users’ browser. So our question is which licence of the Avada theme the client would need. Thank you.

The license rules and regulations are not up to us, the author. The marketplace (Envato) is the one that creates them.
After reading their reply, I think they misunderstood your question. They seem to be telling you about item support and that they do not offer it. You had a license question about which licnese you need to buy. I think the person who answered misudnerstood your query.
I would recommend replying back to them and explaining in more detail what you are asking. Make sure you mention that this is not a support question or question about after sale support, but that it is a license question about which license you need to buy for what you will be doing with the end product.

Hi, I am interested in purchasing Avada but my photo galleries need to be oriented so the photos are in portrait orientation – like for actor 8×10 headshots. I saw some people requesting this option over the past few years.
Does the latest update provide for any portrait gallery options? Is there a way for me to change the orientation of a 4 column portfolio layout so the photos are taller than they are wide (portrait orientation) and still have room for the text below for the name? Or is there an area to change the standard width/height of the photos in the portfolios?
I have many actor headshots to upload on an ongoing basis and would not want to have extra coding on each. Thanks!

Vertical portfolio images have always been possible You can choose to use vertical or horizontal.
If you want to keep the original image ratio, like 8×10, then make sure the featured image size is set to “auto” for the page you are putting them on and it will show the correct vertical size.

1) is it possible to have a parallax image on top of the product index page? (similar to the opening demo page)
is it possible to have a page with multiple full-page parallax images and each scroll of the mouse moves completely up (or down) to the next image?

1. Sure, you can use a slider on any page.
2. You can insert multiple full width parallax images on a page, one after another. however, they will not be full screen sections, they will only be as tall as you make them based on the padding or content inside of them. So you can use multiple parallax sections per page, but they will not be full screen (width + height), only full width and then the height is based on your own content.
The good news is I already have this on our list to add in a future update. However I cannot give an exact date for when that will be done.

Hello again – I have another question about images/portfolios/galleries
All your Portfolio items are set up to pull blog posts, it seems. How does a Photographer create a “Portfolio” or Gallery, of a certain subject (i.e., Gallery of Brides, Gallery of Babies, etc.) This is what a Portfolio or Gallery usually means…one subject matter per Gallery/Portfolio. When we show a Gallery of images, we don’t really need text included nor do we need a blog post associated with it.
Also, all your demo images are horizontal. All your blog posts, Galleries, sample sections only show horizontal images. As Wedding Photographers we have a lot of vertical images. Is this theme going to limit us to only showing horizontal images? Or will we have to put multiple vertical images together to form one horizontal image? Seems like a huge workaround.

Add on: I’ve just reviewed your video for adding Portfolio Posts and that seems to be a very confusing way to add a simple Image Gallery. A Gallery of images can be added very easily to a Portfolio Post page (when you add images you can choose to “Add a Gallery”). If that Portfolio Page then has a Gallery embedded in it, when you click on its link on the Portfolio Page, will it show the Gallery of Images associated with that Portfolio Page? This is how it works in numerous other Themes which is why I am wondering why no “Image Gallery” is shown in this Theme at all? Also, if you leave off the text links in the Portfolio Post, it should then only show the link to the images, correct? Thanks.

All your Portfolio items are set up to pull blog posts, it seems.
Hmmm no, portfolio items are setup to pull portfolio posts, not blog posts. Blog has their own post type, portfolio has their own post type.
You can create as many portfolio pages as you wish, each with it’s own portfolio category. So you can make a new portfolio page called “Gallery of Brides” and then assign your “Gallery of Brides” category to them and only those posts will show there.
Portfolio posts get single post pages as you see on our demo. However, you can remove the link to them so it only shows the main gallery type page.
Images can be either horizontal or vertical, we have both on our demo.
I’ve just reviewed your video for adding Portfolio Posts and that seems to be a very confusing way to add a simple Image Gallery.
Portfolio items are posts. They are not blog posts, but portfolio posts. This allows you to have a much deeper, more involved descriptions and details of each portfolio item. For example, a creative agency who is putting a logo design in their portfolio, most likely they will want to put many project details about the portfolio item, which is what the single post page allows. This is standard for a portfolio.
It seems what you want is just a regular photo gallery, not portfolio posts. You can do this as well and either user the default WP gallery which inserts a group of photos at one time: http://codex.wordpress.org/The_WordPress_Gallery Or you could use any of the 3rd party gallery plugins that are available like NextGen or Envira gallery.

I just installed this theme and I’m having trouble importing the demo content. I didn’t have any errors during installation. When I view the page, all I see are the shortcodes. Then I created a test page using your code from your site and it does the exact same thing. I don’t know what’s wrong and I have a client that needs his website up ASAP. I’ve worked with this theme before and never had any issues.

Hello,
I have one big question for this Avada theme. On the website: http://theme-fusion.com/avada/
In the header section, the original Avada logo is dark-grey with green and you use that green color though the whole website.
But when I look in the footer there is a diapositive logo but why is that colon ( : ) an other green then the rest. But the last ‘a’ is also the original green.
Can you explain that?

The logo is an image file, not regular text. The header has a white background so the “Avad” has to be dark gray to show up. In the footer, the background is dark gray so the “Avad” has to be white.

Because it’s an image file and it seems two colors were used by mistake. An image can be any amount of colors, so it appears the green dots were not the same green as the last “a”.

And one more thing is missing in the theme options! you have all the color styling one might want but one is missing “Active menu color!!” or background color for active menu!
How come you missed that basic option??? and I think it’s a must have if you have so many options to style yet missing this important one.
Please update this theme already. it has a lot of bugs that was reported! but never fixed and now with the WP 4.1 update and WooCommerce update there is even more errors and bugs.

1. For the header transparency, you can use one line of custom CSS change it to use its own height:
.header-wrapper, .header-filler { position: static !important; }
2. Please post your idea into http://ideas.theme-fusion.com. We’ll be sure to give it due consideration. While this option might be obvious to you, this was never requested before.
3. You must be on an older version of Avada/Fusion Core. All reported bugs are fixed with an update. We accounted for WP 4.1 changes in Fusion Core 1.6+. There are no Woocommerce bugs reported and the latest version is compatible with the latest version of Avada.

For those having issues with the Fusion Core Builder. Here is the solution. The problem is that when you click on Fusion Page Builder, drag an element onto the page and attempt to edit it, a gray box will pop up and when you click again, it will close the gray box.

1. Activate another theme on WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes. 2. Delete Avada theme, you will have to click on the picture preview, and there is a small delete button on the bottom right. This will not delete your data or settings. 3. Redownload Avada theme from ThemeForest, this should be version 1.7.1. 4. Upload Avada theme to WordPress and activate it. 5. Go to plugins and delete Fusion Core. 6. There should be a warning message on the plugin page asking you to install Fusion Core. Install it again and Fusion Core will be installed to latest version which is 1.6.1. By default, it will not show you that you need an update, you have to delete it and reinstall. I hope I helped.

Yes, the new content editor changes in WordPress don’t work with an older version of Fusion Core since we accounted for its changes in Fusion Core 1.6 or later.

The only required plugin is Fusion Core, that is needed to use the theme features like shortcodes, portfolio, fusion slider, etc. The other plugins (layer or rev slider) can be turned off if you are not using them.
For the lightbox, it is enlarging with one click for me on your site. Maybe I misunderstand, but please post this on our forum as well and our staff will check it out.
