Hi, I installed the new theme and it looks good. But the documentation is very poor. I have installed the Home 4 (Demo 10) for my first Homepage. By doing this I need to create a slider (in your example called alias=”rev03”]. But there is no documentation how the alias=”rev03” is configured. Can you please update this?

Guys, I really liked the new Skylab, but as a suggestion, you should rename folder Skylab to Skylab2, or somenthing like that, so the update will create 2 dif themes. I´ve done that after seen a lot of issues with the update. And now I have a option to return to old one.
By the way, I don´t now how to start with the new one. All my portfolio are lost. Do I need to recreate all of them? The new theme should use the same pages and portfolios. But I even now how do to it. As I saw in the Documetion, do I have to create one by one using a hard code? The hearder for a Portfolio like “Client”, “Date” is manual?
One more thing, you should creeate a demo using Videos and other using photos in landscape, so I can see if it´s work fine.

This is not the “Skylab Theme”, or what I bought, this is a completely different theme.Please get this fixed ASAP with a new update for Skylab, the old Skylab, with full screen slider option etc, that’s why I bought it in the first place, very annoyed and disappointed.
I wanted to buy this theme for some time, but after the new update it just lost everything which made me interested in it. Why did you change something which was really good into a clone of all other themes that are available here ?
Does this new version have the functions the old theme had, or is it so poor as it looks in the new demo’s ?

A new update is always good news, but can you please tell us what has been changed? “It’s all new” is not descriptive enough. Are there new features? Does it contain up-to-date version of all its components? (e.g. sliders) Basically what is the value for me as a customer to update the theme? Thanks!

That’s not what I’d call descriptive. Developers normally provide release notes and are not ashamed of listing all components and their exact version numbers.
Hello, I have purchased the theme a while ago and I am sincerely hoping that one does not need to change the the look of my current website due to this update. Hence, I have a few questions regarding the ‘new version’ released this January 26th, 15. 1) Does it option to retain the rectangular 3 column portfolio look without spaces which displays titles and portfolio categories on rollovers?? I can’t find a rectangular option. 2) I am assuming one can retain second level dropdown as well 3) Also hoping one can retain single portfolio pages with the ability to add text, tabs and accordion options under each slider/video/image in portfolio pages? 4) Ability to add videos and images in slider on single portfolio pages and home slider? Well, I am assuming as Wordpress updates and plugins update you will update the theme as well. I seriously hope that you include/retain the old design/layout/features and release an update with the same. Apologies for inconvenience but I hope you understand that we cannot change our CI.
I am being asked to update wordpress to the latest 4.1 and I am not sure if the previous update will work with 4.1. Also, are you going to release an update of your ‘New 2.0’ version that includes the previous site files. As I had said earlier, I would appreciate if the theme keeps updating and not change to an entirely different front-end. Please advise.

Mate, I am not seeking ‘support’. I am actually happy that you folks are working hard to make the theme better. I am just requesting you folks to not leave behind old guys like us who purchased your theme when you first launched it, by providing an option to retain the old CSS while you continue doing your good work. I just need you to tell me you agree and that you would be incorporating the same in the next update.
People would have chosen your theme for a multitude of reasons, in our case being the ease of adapting it to our CI. You do realise that, as one goes along, one would need to keep updating wordpress and one might not be able to do it without updating the theme. Hence, one would be left with no option but to either update and alter the front end to your new design OR in our case migrate to another theme because now you do not let us have the option of retaining our CI. From the comments I see here, I am quite sure that people will migrate if you do not provide the option to retain the old front-end, and that’s I think not a good thing for you folks either.
Please understand, that I am a well wisher for MT. You boys are doing a pretty good job down there. I hope you do not alienate people who have spoken good of you in the past by a design change decision, which can accommodate us old folks.
So is there going to be an update to retain the old ‘look’ and pages as well? OR are you folks not considering it at all?

Mate, I have the old version of the theme. My question is, will you keep updating the old version or not? That is what I purchased. Not an entirely new design. If wordpress updates then I need to update the theme. Do you understand? I need to maintain my old design and be able to keep updating wordpress.
No we won’t keep updating the old version but design of the thene is almost the same actually, there is more an entirely new code than the design.
Thank you for your reply, but it’s pretty sad for a successful theme to ask past customers to indirectly bugger off isn’t it? These are the ones who helped the theme to become successful in the first place.
You have gone ahead and changed the entire front-end and that is not what we need. You know how much time it requires to organise the entire data and setup a site. You know it is difficult to take time out for people/studios to do this. Success of ‘Themes’ in general are a consequence of factors such as saving time as well as saving money. We had purchased this theme and were assured so called support to now find an entirely new front-end in it’s place. I appreciate your efforts to make the theme better but I am not sure if you guys have any service designers amongst you, but this reflects in a totally unplanned service delivery.
I think many others here have the same issue, not just me. Is it that complicated to maintain a ‘pre-2.0’ version so that it is compatible with the latest wordpress version. I don’t think so.
I urge you to consider it.

Hi, first visit your downloads tab and re-download the new version.Next activate default WordPress theme and uninstall old Skylab theme. After that navigate to Appearance > Add New Themes > Upload page. Select skylab.zip file. Press the Install Now button to upload and install the theme.
After uploading the theme, you have to activate it. Navigate to Appearence -> Themes page to activate the theme.

Hi. You really need to fix up your documentation, it’s very poor. It’s full of missing images. Also, some warning would be good about updating. You should give people information that updating to this new theme will destroy the layout of their old site. I’ve completely lost my menu and general styling throughout the entire site. It seems like you’ve rushed this and haven’t taken the time to notify existing users exactly what is being updated/changed, and you failed to notify them significant work is required to transform the “new” site to what existed beforehand. In the future please me more transparent and considerate with your existing users. Also I’m still awaiting you to fix up the documentation and give details as to what exactly was changed in the website with the update.

This info may of been useful before telling people to download and install the theme update. What has turned in to a 5 minute job has now become hours. Would of been good to know in advance. Also please fix up your documentation. Images that you refer to in the text are not showing up.
Is there something wrong with Skylab theme? I can’t override the style.css using child theme. Is an old child theme I use on Skylab before and it work fine, but suddenly stop working after I updated to Skylab 2.0.
