I finally discovered that most of the content that I was still needing to edit is under Pages. So I still have a few items that I still haven’t figured out how to change—I will have to articulate that more clearly later. Meantime, I am getting this error message when uploading a plugin, which might be causing my speed issues?:

This error comes from the functions.php file, which I never touched, and so I have no way of fixing this. I wasn’t able to upload the theme from the zip file via WP (said that the styles.css file was missing), and had to manually upload it. Don’t know if there’s any connection. Would appreciate your assistance in getting this resolved.

These are remaining issues:

There are no anchors that I know of on this landing page, and so I can’t figure out what URLs to use for the primary menu or to reference from one place on the page to another.

I understand from a reply you made to another customer that the URLs are supposed to be linked automatically in the menu. But that isn’t happening for me.

5). Background colors

- There is a light pinkish color that you are using for background in the samples area of the page and for the highlighted pricing content, which I need to change to go with my palette. But I can’t find anywhere to change that.

- There is a grey background behind the Call to Action area that also doesn’t work with my palette and I can’t find where to change that.

7). Other issues.

—In the top slider area, I have uploaded your iphone graphic with my image, but the graphic now floats 1/4 inch above the bottom edge of the background slider, instead of right at the edge, as it was before. This image is set at exactly the recommended size.

—My logo doesn’t center on the nav bar, but floats over the bottom edge. This is a horizontal logo. Uploading it at the recommended 30 px high made it so tiny it was virtually impossible to see, so I have made it 55 px, and that is shorter than the height of the nav bar. I also made sure that in the image there are no hidden pixels above what is visible.

I will try to reply for every remaining concern of yours one-by-one, however i think most of the answers can be found in the theme documentation, and – with some research in the previous comments or in google maybe – i’m certain about you would have found the correct answers and solution in half time than writing this essay. Anyway, here are my replies:

Choosing the right hosting provider and finding the proper hosting setup isn’t my task, i’m not responsible for any of hosting and server related issues as i mentioned before.

If you check the live theme demo, you can see the average page loading time of the theme and can decide if it fits your needs or not.

Regarding the error in the functions.php file – i haven’t noticed it before, but i will check it soon – but the live demo runs exactly with the same version of the theme that you are using, and it doesn’t load slow as far as i concerned.

Yeah, this is a bug from my side, however if you check back the previous comments, you will notice that this question has been asked many times before. You can rewrite it manually in template-samples.php file on line 60.

Right, that “pinkish” color is featured only in those 2 elements in the theme, so i thought that it isn’t necessary to feature it in the theme options panel, however you can easily edit it with pure css:

section.samples { background: #yourColor !important } 

and do the same for the “dark grey background of the call to action area”:

#cta-bar { background: #yourColor !important }

Have no idea as i haven’t seen your site yet, so if you share us a link to your site, i will be able to check what’s wrong and give you the correct instructions.

If you don’t follow the recommended image sizes in the documentation, you might notice issues like the one above. Show me your site, and i will give you the proper code to adjust the navbar to your logo.

I was able to get the “home” link for the nav bar to work by adding /home to the URL. But for “contact” menu item there is no URL field. That is the case with all the other menu items, as well, but they work, and I don’t see in your instructions what makes them work but not the “contact” item.

Hi Erik, the remaining issues continue to be:

1) the line 204 error in the functions.php file.

2) displacement of the graphics on the header, which you were going to check out and give me the code to fix.

3) the link for the Contact nav bar menu item, for which I can find no means or instructions on how to link with the Contact area.

4) The Mail Sign Up in the Contact area doesn’t appear, and the Contact area and Footer are merged into one.

5). I would like to have both a Contact Form for a user to contact me and the Mail List Sign Up. Currently, there is only the option of either-or.

6). I would like to change the color of the other CTA bars, and can’t find where those are in order to change them.

Here’s how to apply any other google webfont for the headings:
1.) Open up header.php file from your main theme folder
2.) Add this to line 33:

to the name of the chosen google font (Montserrat in your case), so it will look like this:

What happens Erik is that the page loads fine. When I scroll down the page and scroll back up, I start to see blocks in the slider.

I see what you mean, it is caused by one of the third-party wordpress plugin used in your theme, i assume it is the embedded youtube player one.

Proof: just open your site in chrome, hit “F12”, check the “Console” tab, and reload the page. It will throw a js error based on the plugin.

I suggest to use a different video embedding plugin if you aren’t satisfied with the default one in the theme.
