hi is there light version of the theme when we purchase it. Theme is great but only thing thats keeping me from buying it is that it is black themed. If it was lighter, i would buy it right away.

This theme has several skins, and color editor which may help you to change colors to light.

Hi, great theme. I have a question about displaying blog posts. Is it possible to display them as a gallery grid? I have my site setup with a certain permalink structure and tags setup and to move them to the gallery post type would mess up the site structure I currently have.

Currently we have 2 blog index and category view type – Massonry grid, full text and standart view. You can choose from Appearance/theme settings/Blog, blog type
If I want to have a gallery that only shows a single category or grouping together without showing all of the other items in all of the galleries, how would i go about doing that?
I’m trying to break up some different groups by a vendor and only show those items together by a single vendor. For instance, a group of pictures would only be for Vendor A – so I figure I create page A. Then create a page for each item and put that under the page. but when i scroll through, the items are all mixed together. Is there an easy way to show this?
Also, if there’s a way to have galleries split up in this same way so it only shows an entire gallery of similar items and if i can break them up by vendor or by style – that would really help. I assume there’s some use of categories and filters that I don’t seem to be getting perfectly. Thanks

When inserting mentas gallery shortcode thru “shortcode ultimate”, there is many options, and one of options is “Category” where you can choose a category of images you want to display.
This shortcode entered in regular wordpress page’s description box.

Hi mikedenos, the best practise is to set up demo content on your test wordpress copy, if you don’t want to install demo content on you site. In this way you will have exact copy of our demo on your test copy, and can follow it while creating stuff on your production website
OK , how do I do that ? I want to do with me site is a site where people self just have to set up advertisements. But the result would be as if your site this. Beautiful advertisements together that light up when you pass and explanation in the middle as you click on it .

Is your website fresh? or it is already have old content? If it is fresh, then just import demo content, in the way it described in documentation. When you insert html block of visual composer, it shows a screen where ultimate shortcode button. or you can just insert shortcode directly into vc text block

The theme looks great. I’m thinking of buying it but I have a question first – in the Sidebar version, can you have only one category of images/videos appear on the home page?
For example, in the demo, “All” images appear when you land on the home page. Then if you select “nature”. the other images go away and just the nature images stay.
If you wanted to just nave the “nature” images appear when you land on the home page without the option to choose any other category at the top could you do that?
I’m asking as what I would want to do is to have just a grid of a bunch of images that only appear on the home page without any options at the top to choose another category that’ll bring up different images on the home page.
Then instead of having the different categories at the top, I’d like to have all my photos and videos set up as different galleries that visitors would have to click on in the sidebar to see.
Is it possible to set it up like that?

In theme settings under menu I check “Check if you want to show Top nenu” which I need because there’s not enough navigation elements in this theme. But when I try to change the color in skins there doesn’t seem to be an option to change the color of the top menu. It’s just white.
Another big on going problem with this theme when I use expanded gallery mode for the home page is that there’s no side bar when you get to the final gallery page for widgets to put a Facebook Likebox, Twitter feed or anything. It’s just the area where you have author, time, date and category. There’s so much space over there I have no idea why you don’t let us put a widget there.
And it’s absurd that I can’t change that top menu color. The only option is white? Seriously? Why don’t you always have the filter menu stay up at the top? I need something up there or when people try to navigate they just get stuck.

When changing color skin, it only change font color on top menu, not menu panel background. Please email us your website url, and we will send you custom css code to change top menu color.
About widget area you are right, that would be good option. You gave interesting idea, we will add it into to do list for upcoming version.

Hi, Is there an option to remove the play button when my page is viewed on a mobile device (I am using one page video template). Can I use a fall back image when I use video temple and it is viewed on mobile device? I don’t like the black square with play button much. Thanks, Peter

Depend on direction, if you are going to increase width, then no css needed, just increase in theme settings “Top menu logo column size”.
But logo height is limited by max-height in css, because of top panel, if we allowed to increase logo height, it would go outside top panel and look ugly.

Dear ayron, can you please rephrase what you wrote. Pardon, I’m not sure what you meant
What you see on the top in that page, is not a menu, it is images filters. But as you noted we have aslo categories. To have categories in seperate page, create a page, then enter there gallery shortcode with category id (this is done thru Ultimate Shortcode). Once you have a page with image from certain category, you can link to that page as it is regulary done in Wordpress, from menu.

The music is annoying after few minutes trying to find the volume button to turn it off. As soon as it turns on, it was hard for me to find a way to shut it off. The volume controls disappear. Not all clients who access internet are computer savvy enough to know that controls disappear. Just offering a suggestion.

We wonder if you can help us with the following: we need to find some custom code so that we can constrain the ‘featured image’ on the actual gallery post page ‘page with description’ type. Right now the featured image displays huge/ full screen at the top of the page, with room for text below. We would like to figure out the code to make it display around width 600 pixels for example, and further to this we would like some custom css to not make it display on the page at all in a couple of instances (in the same way the featured image does not display on ‘full size video page’. Hi there Azelab- I looked around on wordpress forums and this is not difficult to do as it is a pretty standard wordpress default view (that the featured image will display at the top of the page). What I need to know is the correct code with regard to your theme to hide it. In this forum the issue is solved: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/hide-featured-image-on-pages-not-posts (scroll down for hide featured image on post not page). So may it be something like: .single-work img.wp-post-image {display:none} .single-work img {display: none} or .gl-item img.wp-post-image {display:none} .gl-item img {display: none}. Hi SuchetV and thank you for purchasing Mentas theme. We don’t have seperate demo content installation for sections. You can import full demo content as it is described in instruction, then delete unnecessary stuff.

Hi I want to ask, if I can manage gallery. For example in homesite I want to have a Mental Gallery with some filters (fashion, animals…) and on the subsites I want to have another gallery with another fillters. For example on the site animals I want a different fillters like on homesite (dogs, cats, birds…). But I dont know how to do this imagine. Can you help me with this problem, what I have?
In latest version Mentas 1.0.3 this feature available. Please update theme if you didn’t
How it works: Only those filters are shown which are used. Per example you inserted Mentas gallery with Category A shortcode into page. In that page you will see all images from that category, and only those filters will be shown which were assigned to those gallery items.
