A few questions 1) Is it possible to customize colors (menu and footer bars. etc.) 2) Is it possible to use the ribbon slider on the main page and for photo galleries 3) Is it possible to enable swiping for the responsive/mobile version? I pulled it up on my iPhone and swiping wasn’t available. I was forced to double-tap to advance to the next image in the ribbon gallery.

I am highly reviewing to buy this theme. Obviously, I have some pre-purchase questions:
1. If I decide to make the header bar transparent or completely go away, leaving only the buttons names, will that be possible? Which files would I need to amend to achieve that?
2. If I need to get rid of the footer, is it possible? And which file would I need to amend to do that?
3. Will I be able to change white Buttons names to black colour and the black bars to white colour using CSS? If yes, which file would that be?
4. If I want to insert Soundcloud shortcodes into a blank page, will that be possible? Is there a fullscreen page template that can absorb a Soundcloud code for that matter?

1. I would love to give a little more freedom to the overall feel of my future website. So if I have a homepage with video background, I want it not to be “limited” by the header bar, you know what I am saying?
2. The same idea with the footer: ideally, I want to hide the top bar and the footer bar and to have only menu names on the top, so when the video plays on the start, there is nothing but the menu names. Please, confirm that it is what is possible to do once amending the correct php and css. And once I buy the theme, will you be able to point me to the files to play with?
3. I am referring to the top bar with menu names. If I decide to leave the top bar (although I highly doubt it because I really want to execute what I’ve described in p.2 above) I assume there should be no problems changing the colour of the bar into white and the colour of the menu manes into black?
4. I am planning on having a dedicated page to the music that I’ve written, so will I be able to have a separate page with soundcloud links (not a blog page)? Or is it possible to to do that only in the blog format and then link it to the main menu (which is not absolutely fantastic I guess)?
5. Is the landing page SEO-friendly?
6. Will I be able to use Youtube and Vimeo videos for a video background in a home page?
I’ve been searching all over the web now for something that could host my ideas, and I really love the way you approach your work not only with this template but with others, too. However, this one has a special touch to it and If I manage to find the answers I need and be able to implement that “freedom” feel to the amazing work that you’ve done, I will be close to being happy.
Hello! I do understand that you need more freedom, but in this case you need a custom solution. The theme functionality can’t cover all your needs.
I would appreciate your short answers to my questions above.
1. It requires the changes in the code, becuase there is an option which hides all the elements on the page, in your case, if someone uses it, you will have an empty space in the header. 2. It is a theme customisation 3. You can change the color. 4. Yes, you can put the embed soundcloud code into the pages 5. It is a simple page with the logo on it. If you install the SEO plugin, you will be able to add the title and page description to it 6. Yes, it supports only Youtube and Vimeo.

I just purchased your Theme…Looks great in your live demo view but I am attempting to load (Import Demo Content) and all I am getting is a continuous status process bar? I understand that you stated in your help page that it takes 5-7 minutes to import all the images but noting is happening when we attempt to import?
Would it be possible to import the files manually? If yes, can you list directions on how and what folder to use?

I really like the SOHO wordpress theme and think about purchasing it. But I have some short questions upfront to see, if it fits my needs – unfortunately I couldn’t find any answers to these on your website or by testing the demo page. All of these questions refer to the demo page:
1. Photo > Portfolio > Grid with margin. I love this one because of the ability to show sub-categories (in your example: all works, art, events, people…). Unfortunately all photos are shown in squares in the “grid with margin” style. I would like to use the sub-categories on the “masonry with margin” style, so that upright photos appear upright, and diagonally ones appear diagonal. Is this possible?
2. In general: Does the “masonry with margin” style show photos in the format (upright, diagonal, square) in which they’re uploaded or does the theme take parts of the pictures without me having impact on this?
3. The next question is with regards to the slide show player (that can be found here http://www.gt3themes.com/wordpress-themes/soho/portfolio/soho-streets/): Is it possible to turn this one off and hide the play button as well as the info button, the fullscreen and the share button?
4. Gallery > Ribbon: It’s possible to slide through the photos on my mobile. But on my iPad Air (IOS 8.x) it’s not working. There seems to be a bug. The ribbon style you used in other wordpress themes you offer is working on my iPad. Is this a bug that’s just appearing in the SOHO demo and is working in the version I’d buy? Furthermore it’s not resizing diagonal photos to the screen size – is this a known issue or is it fixed in the version I’d buy?
5. About > Stripe: Is it possible to use this section without the stripe-page? I’d like to link directly to the page with the details about a person (http://www.gt3themes.com/wordpress-themes/soho/portfolio/christopher-black-about/).

Hello! 1. Yes, you can enable the filter by categories on this page http://www.gt3themes.com/wordpress-themes/soho/portfolio-masonry-margin/ 2. You can display the images to any format that you upload but please note that the width of the uploading image shouldn’t be less than 540px by width. It will keep the proportion, 540x to any height. 3. You may have such a page http://awesomescreenshot.com/0df4ir0ffd there is no option in the theme to hide the share block, but it is possible to hide it via css. 4. We will add this option, the thing is that there are big buttons to slide the images. Do not see the issue with the resizing 5. 4. You’re right, there are buttons, so it’s no problem in general. But due to the user behavior on touch devices it would be great to give them the possibility to slide through pictures without using the buttons. Even more as it’s already possible on the mobile version of the theme… it would be great to have this possibility on tablets, too.

2. Yes, you are right, if for example you will open that page on 27” display, the all the images will proportionally resize. 3. You can show/hide controls via page slider settings. 4. It will be available in the next theme update. 6. We recommend to upload the images up to 2000px by width to avoid slow site loading. As for the ribbon gallery, it is better to use up to 1400, but limit the number of photos in the gallery. We recommend to add 20 images max. to ribbon gallery.

Regarding question 6: So in general I should try to go with 2.000 px width for the fullscreen stuff and 1400 width for the ribbon gallery. And the theme will cut it’s preview versions / thumbnails for the “masonry with margin” view itself (and I don’t need to upload 540px width versions myself). Correct?

We just purchased this theme and we need to know if it’s possible to a) set home page as “landing” theme but with the option to auto transfer the user to the main home page within 4-5 seconds (so the user can either click the rounded logo or just wait for 4-5 seconds). b) use “landing” page as intro for the website. This it mostly for seo purposes cause we really want to use as homepage the root domain + landing template as intro.

i have some questions hope that i get solutions about that.
1. I have a problem with video play for portfolio video posts. Full screen slider options does not work for videos. For example i try to shut down autoplay but it always stays yes (open) for autoplay. I try to close autoplay but i cannot. And also it is the same for fit style, show control etc. all of them seem does not work for me.
2. I want to customize height of Full screen slider for portfolio pages. And i cannot find it in editor. i want to make height of the full screen slider like for ipad vertical height. Please tell me where can i customize it.
3. i know i am asking much but where and how i can remove heart icon (as facebook like icon) for the portfolio main grid page.

1. I will pass this info to mad_dog. You can pause the video simply clicking to it. As for the controls, that’s the specific of the design, we stretch the video to hide the controls. 2 and 3. it is possible to do that, but only as a custom solution. It require the changes in the code.

MD – Had a look at the demo; Why are all the header texts in the blog truncated slightly at the top? Is it a layout issue error in the css?
What text are you referring to? Please provide screenshot.
What browser do you test it on, its version and your OS. We do not experience such an issue.
It exhibits the problem in Chrome, Firefox and IE (all latest versions) on windows 7×64. Looks like a css margin/layout issue in your template. I can’t buy it and use it like this. I’ve bought three of your other themes previously.
Tested on 3 PCs with windows 7×64 in Chrome, Firefox and IE, there is no such a bug. Maybe there is something wrong with your system. Can you please check it on another PC?

That module is used for the standard galleries. If you want to have fullscreen grid, then you must use the custom templates. Please read the documentation for obtaining information.

You can easily do the same, create a custom link in the Menus section, add sign # to the URL field, thats it.
