Hi there, I have a few issues/questions for you:
1. Please could you tell me why when you click on one of my portfolio items the “back to all” (4 squares) doesn’t link back to the main portfolio page. How do you alter this? Each item basically links to the page you are on (http://soundfair.com/portfolio/electricity)
2. Is it possible to have the Header logo change as you scroll down the page to specific anchor points?
3. Is it possible to have the hover colour different for different items on the Navigation menu?
4. Is it possible to have 3 columns of portfolio items fill the fill width with no padding in between? so they all butt up to each other?
Sorry for all the questions but I’m really struggling finding any literature on these issues.

1. Have you set your portfolio URL in the Salient options panel > portfolio tab?
2. Unfortunately not yet without some custom development
3. With custom css yes – add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:

4. Add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:

I wanted the hover state (color) to change but as it is, the menu items have changed color in their original state, anyway, that will do. Thanks again. Great support. Quickly. I downloaded the plugin “Parallax-Background-for-VC” but it doesn’t seem to work as it looks like you guys have customized the VC panels. Correct? I need to get a fixed video background with empty sections in the site so when you scroll down the page the video can be seen through the gaps in the background. I’m having some issues with the Nectar slider. After searching the comments here I know the slider uses the “Cover” option by default. I’m wondering if there is a way to disable this so the image isn’t stretched? I’ve got some banners I want to display that already have text and some static images and they look very poor quality.

Installed your theme, and it works nicely. However, for some reason one of the social icons for the header won’t show up at all. I have 4 defined (twitter, youtube, google+, linkedin) and the youtube icon simply refuses to show up. I’ve tried disabling and enabling the icon, the complete social icons header, etc, but nothing seems to fix it. Looking at the code, seems that the YouTube icon is the only one not receiving a ::before on the i tag in the li’s. Any idea?

Nectar Slider with the new arrows in fade mode viewing on Firefox on an iMac – when arrows clicked, the slide bounces left and right and then the next slide shows. Still errors in the most recent Salient version.
Even if I don’t click the arrows, as it’s set to 5000 fade – when transitioning to the next slide – it bounces left to right and then the fade happens. This is very odd. I don’t understand why this error is happening. I am not using any additional CSS code at all on this specific project I am working on.
Hey acmediaservices, the fade option shouldn’t be allowed to be used in combination with that style – this will be sorted in the upcoming update

Is there any way to remove the padding at the top of pricing tables? I assume it is there to handle the highlighted column when used. I do not want a highlighted column for one particular table, but I do want a title directly above the pricing column. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Absolutely. I am wanting to get the subheader (U.S. & CANADA TITLE REPORTS) down to just above the pricing table on this page, so I can use it as a simple but easy to read rate sheet. I don’t want to impact other pricing tables as I’m using them in the typical way (with highlighted columns) on other pages.

yes. says version 2.3.0 and woocommerce is at 2.3.6. I know sometimes these are necessary to change so often, but was bringing to your attention.

Thank you for your help this far. Here’s another question. I am trying to use Custom CCS to replace the background-color of a Separator with text div element where “Vacantes disponibles” is ( http://bit.ly/1xlh6a4 ).
So, I create the Custom CSS in the ”</> CSS” button on top of the Edit Page, enter the CSS ( http://bit.ly/1NU0Qr0 ), then, type the new class on the Separator with text element ( http://bit.ly/1AxdfXQ ), but the background-color stays the same.
I have tried to add the class from the .css file, but the best I have achieved is turning the box around the text transparent using “inherit”, but the bottom line crosses the text.
Is there something else I should try? Thank you

Hi TN! Back again… (wasn’t sure if I should post new or stay in our previous thread, since the other issue was resolved – if you prefer one thread, please let me know).
1) I’m having a small issue with the gallery. Scaling the page up and down leaves a small white sliver to the right of each gallery thumbnail. It only happens at certain sizes. All my images are larger than 600×400. Screengrab is here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28713589/thumbswhite.png

Hey – if you’re using a custom menu widget when actually creating the links in the menu click on the link for Screen Options in the top right of your screen. Hidden away in the dropdown there, below the usual Show on screen checkboxes, is another line of Show advanced menu properties checkboxes.
Just check the box for Link Target and then all your Menu Items will have the additional option of Link Target : “Same window or tab” or “New window or tab”
Hi Phil. I’m using the pp class to display PDF documents within the iFrame Lightbox. This is working great in Firefox, but in Chrome and IE, I just get the loader icon, which just hangs. I know there were some past issues with the Lightbox and Chrome, but I wasn’t sure if these issues were resolved. I’m running Salient v5.0. I tested this in Chrome v41 and IE v11. Thanks for your help!

I’m trying to add my logo to the Salient theme. Is there an easy way to do this without getting into the files and hand editing them?
If not, can someone offer some guidance on where and how to do this? It appears the them UI in wp-admin only lets me add text for the title of the site and a tag line (which gets truncated at the top of my browser anyway for some reason)

Is there any way to streamline it a bit? I love the design but if it takes too long to load, people won’t wait around to see it.
Hey arteest, you could use W3 Total Cache for caching and bwp minify for code minification – this should increase the pagespeed noticeably
