I would like to remove the hyperlink from the Team Members Name and only use the short version because I have no additional site for the members. I read that there should be an option in the team members page to disable the link, but I didnt find anything like that – I bought the Design about 2-3 weeks ago and haven’t uploaded the theme ever since (mainly because the envato plugin doesn’t work). Is there another way to change it? Or what happens if I upload the new version of the theme manually?

You can update the theme manually by FTP directly. Here are steps:
- Just download the theme package from ThemeForest site and unzip on your local pc.
- There are some files extracted. The theme file is “howes.zip”. Just unzip it on your local pc and you will get theme folder which is “howes” folder.
- Now upload this “howes” folder on your server at ”/wp-content/themes/” folder. Make sure you overwrite all existing files inside “howes” theme folder.
- Done
This will update the theme.

Heeeeelp!!! Your theme is so slow. Why is that! I have checked the plugins. I have called my hosting company and they confirmed that it is not the hosting server. I love this theme but I can’t use if it won’t load fast. Please help me.
I even tried the a few WordPress caching tools and they did not make any difference.

Did you tried “WP Super Cache” plugin? If not than try it and your site will be fast.
This plugin will create HTML version of each of your pages. So it will not query to WordPress will distribute HTML file directly. Also if your site is still slow than please check images and reduce image size as image can slow your site. If still slow than it should be problem with your hosting.

Hi,
I am also struggling to find a solution for a footer issue. In the footer settings, I have the text colour in both the footer widget area and footer text area set to white. The backgrounds are dark. However, whilst the text is there in the first footer area, it is appearing the same dark colour as the background. Can you please give some guidance on this?

This is a bug in our theme and we just solved it on our server. So it will be available in our next update.
You can solve it now. Just paste this code in Admin > Appearance > Theme Options > Custom Code > CSS Code box:
.footer.footer-text-color-white .textwidget {
color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.28);
}
This will solve your problem.

Hi,
I experienced the same above issue with text in the footer widget. The above code did work to make it show up, but it still appeared a light grey rather than white.
You mentioned that this would be solved in the next update. Can I just check that this bug has been solved before I install the new update?

Yes this issue is already solved and also recently we updated code for the XSS vulnerability issue too. So we recommend you to update the theme. After update, just go to Theme Options and save settings for once.

That’s great the code is updated for the XSS vulnerability issue. Thank you – I’ve now updated the site. Still don’t seem to be able to get all the text in the footer white however through theme options.
Put in code as follows so sorted the first column
.footer.footer-text-color-white .textwidget { color: #ffffff; }
But I can’t seem to get the contact form column in the footer to change. Tried varying code such as
.thememount-widget-contact-8-color-white .thememount-widget-contact-8 { color: #ffffff; }

I’m having trouble with a font on this theme. In the font settings, I have everything set as I’d want it for various headings. However, there’s a ‘thememount subheading’ on a couple of my pages and I can’t find the h-class to change this. Can you please give some guidance on this?

Currently we haven’t provided option to change font for sub-headings. We provided font options for H1, H2, H3 to H6 headings and they will apply in your site.

We haven’t tested our theme with any Booking plugin. But most of the plugins will work with our theme. We are using standard code structure so most of the plugins will work.
There are so many Booking plugins available. You can select one and let us know so we will setup it on our server and will give you preview with it so you can be sure how it looks and works.

When I’m on a blog post and I ‘insert read more tag’ within the text, when I update and preview this and click to read more, it links me through to a random portfolio item. Do you know how I can stop it from doing this and simply reveal the rest of the blog post?
Also, the like heart icon that appears on portfolio items, is there a way to remove this?

- We are not very clear on what you need. The add/edit of Portfolio is managed by WordPress itself and we are just using the core part or WordPress so edit should not give you any wrong URL error. Please create a new ticket on our support system at http://support.thememount.com/ and send us your site URL with admin login details so we can check directly on your site.
Also, the like heart icon that appears on portfolio items, is there a way to remove this?
- Recently we added option to hide the Heart Like icon. This option will be available in our next update. The updated version may be available for download after approx 12 hours from now.

We are very unhappy with this theme!
Since we bought it on 04.02.2015, there have been 13(!!!) updates to the theme – that is an update every 3 days! And as if the ridiculous amount of updates wasn’t enough, new updates regularly introduce bugs. We feel like dumb, unpaid beta testers for developers that don’t care to test their own code. 
It’s sad, because initially we really liked the theme, and the support guys really try to help.
And, oh, yes, of course we cannot launch the project we’re working on because of a specific bug that our client needs to get fixed …
Sorry for the rant! However, I really needed to share my thoughts here, especially because everyone else is so positive about this theme, and I would have loved to see a post like this before we bought this theme.

I can understand your feeling. But I like to clear the situation.
Bugs in external plugins
Recently Visual Composer has released major version and it breaks some elements. We already tested the plugin with our theme but still some bug found. So we need to relase updated version to solve bugs of Visual Composer. That is not only Visual Composer but also some other plugins too. Like the “Max Mega Menu” also released major version and we need to do some major code changes for it too.
Added some new features
Also we added so many new features and enhanced existing features. That was also appearing some bugs too. That bug is not directly related to new feature as we already tested it but it distured due to other elements.
We try to provide all possible bugs as quick as possible so buyers site would work without any bug. Also please note that we are not supplying new bugs BUT we only solve existing bugs. We are providing support regularly and we solve bug instantly whenever we get it and release it so other buyer will not get that bug.

Great theme! How can i change the css settings of the Mega Menu on mobile mode? I wanted to change color/add transparency to it, but only on the mobile version.
Without the mega menu enabled i was able to do it with costum css to the regular menu, but i can’t find the right code to make it work with mega menu, it always change to color of the menu everywhere!
You can set CSS for mobile mode by wrapping it with conditional screen detector tags.

We are providing Nivo and Flex slider in our theme. You can get the same fade effect in the Nivo Slider. We set RANDOM effect in Nivo slider for now. But we just added option to set option for the Nivo Slider so you can set FADE effect too.
We are going to release new updated version today and you will get it after approx 10 hours from now (when ThemeForest approve our update). So update the theme and set it.
