could you please upload vertical images to one of the galleries in cabin4 for example? Because as I can see there are only horizontal images and I would like to see how the vertical images will look like. The thumbnails in galleries are scalled to 4:3 ratio?

Hi there, first of all … great theme and I intend to buy it because of the full height vertical slider. Two pre-purchase questions: 1. The vertical slide do not work in in portrait mode … the text page is then just used with transparent background over the image. This is sometimes not satisfactory, when font-color & image don’t match. See here where the vertical full height split works in portrait mode (although it is not a slider). http://nookrestaurang.se. 2. Is it possible to place more than one custom marker in the google maps ?

1. Our support team would be glad to provide you with some additional CSS code to resolve this – e.g. – put a semi-transparent background under the text content when this slider collapses and a different text color to have the necessary contrast but maintain the general look and feel of the design

Because I will do the site in black & white … with the general background in white I can make the container of the text-half with an opaque white background and then the text in black. Should be no prob, right ? (These times one needs to think more about how a website looks like on a phone than on a screen. ) Two more questions : 1 .Because Images and text switch with every slide from left to right and vice versa….the thumbnails on the right side are only in white – can they change to dark when there is a white background and be white, when there is a dark background . (Saw it in another theme, that has also the vertical slider feature) or .. if 1. is not possible 2. Is it possible to assign through some custom CSS an image to every thumbnail – a bit like it is done in http://nookrestaurang.se
Ooops, ...one more question: Is vertical slider possible with passepartout like in your other themes ? & one more issue : when in portrait mode the text container overlays the Google map the user cannot zoom in/out or move in the map. Can this be solved with a different z-index ?

Of course, some additional CSS would take care of this background on mobile when the slider collapses.
As for the other question – you can specify the initial background color for the text-holder of each slide easily using our bundled page builder (Visual Composer). If there’s something else you had in mind, please be a bit more specific and let us know. Thank you.
To follow up on the cross-post: Passepartout is available with split screen slider. Google map shortcode has the zoom in/out feature toggle-able from your admin panel.

I’m using the cabin 6 Cypress theme. Is it possible to use the layout of the Suquoia header in the cabin 6 Cypress theme. I want to use the header with the logo in the middle as opposed to all the way on the left.

I’m trying to import the layer slider for cabin 6 cypress, but the xml export does not have one for cabin 6. There are only two labeled layer slider cabin4-layerslider-export.zip and cabin8-layerslider-export.zip? What would I use for cypress cabin6?

I didnd’t get the layerslider WP plugin zip in the zip I downloaded from themeforest. I had to install it manually. is that the right one.
it worked. It was that by default the home page wasn’t set as the front page.

We’ve included Font Awesome, Elegant Icons an Ion Icon packs into our theme as social icons.
There are more than a few page templates to choose from: Default Template (In grid), Full Width template, various Blog template just to name few. This one-page layout is one of the ways to have your site setup – it derived from the ‘anchoring’ functionality. All the content is setup on one page, and the menu links refer to the Anchor IDs of Row container elements that contain parts of the content which then creates the smooth scrolling effect.
Yes, you can add video content to any of the blog posts, or even use one of the predefined blog post formats if you see fit – in this case Video that is easily select-able from the admin panel.

When using blog single posts with sidebar you can choose to have your sidebar 1/4th of the width of 1/3rd of the width of the content.
Selecting 1/4 leaves you with the approx. 800px of effective content area in desktop layout and 1/3 with the approx. 700px of effective content area in desktop layout. But, of course, this can be easily modified with some additional CSS code if needed to match your design.

I don’t know if you noticed, but a lot of times the links stop working on the theme. I think it’s because of the loader. When you click around, it stops loading. It’s bit frustrating because I like the theme but it freezes a lot.

With Ajax animation enabled it takes time for all the animations to execute while this page transition effect is happening. You can choose to disable Ajax animation on a particular page or on the entire site if needed or even speed up the page transition if it is per your liking.

Hello, I just bought the theme, but I do not know where to start. It seems that the “visual composer” editor does not work because it does not add any item and remains continuously charging.

Please double-check that your Visual Composer is installed and activated.
With our theme comes the extended license for all the plugins integrated with it (Visual Composer and Layer Slider). We update these plugins to their latest version with every future theme update.
When you install you will get a notification that you are required to install the necessary plugins to run our theme. Just click to install/activate these plugins again and that is all there is to it. If somehow you don’t get these notifications to install the necessary plugins, then go to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload – Find these plugins in theme folder/plugins, select one by one and click import/install.
Cabin comes with a one-click import module so you can import our demos. To import one of our demo sites, please follow these steps:
We do not have a video guide for Cabin at this time but, to get more familiar with using our theme we recommend going through the ‘Getting Started’ part of our manual which is located in your downloaded zip folder: ‘documentation/cabin/index.html’

The text is not visible because it is white on the VC white background, but if you go to edit one of the text elements and hit “ctr+a” you should see the text selected and can modify it (or you can switch to the text view and modify the text in html: http://screencast.com/t/bl13sStvRu

You need to import the LayerSlider separately. To do this, please go to the zip file you received on purchase and inside the “xml export” folder find the “cabin4-layerslider-export.zip” file. Then go to your wordpress dashboard and to LayerSliderWP. There under Import Sliders click on “Choose file” and choose the “cabin4-layerslider-export.zip” file, and then click import: http://screencast.com/t/o37bL5oZE
If the slider is still not showing up on your page, then please copy the sliders shortcode and paste in into the “Layer Slider or Select Slider Shortcode” field in the page’s backend.
