I see the reply to people asking about the Visual Composer update is to buy it or wait until you update However why have we not been supplied with the license key that should have come in the documentation?

I bought Skylab a while ago, and the new update is pretty awesome. Anyway, I could do with some advce.

I have a new Art Gallery client who wishes to display around 20 artists, each with 10 images to view and a short bio. (Images would have a caption). It would also be great to make artwork sortable (like a portfolio) and also display in a lightbox or view bigger.

Can you suggest if Skylab is suitable for the task, or maybe “Wire” which looks amazing.

So, I’ve had this template for a long time and I’ve been very happy with it. I’ve just updated to V2.0 and I have very mixed feelings about it. I love the top menu and the new slider is pretty much perfect – great decision to lose the thumbnails under the viewer!

But you’ve cut entirely down on gallery options which is extremely bad news for me. I have never been a fan of portfolios. I don’t want to set up my site with “cases”, which is basically what the portfolios are. When people click on an image I don’t want them to enter a whole new page with more pictures on it – I want them to see the picture they’ve clicked. Some of my images are a series, and in that case the portfolio works fine, but others are really just one single image and it doesn’t make sense to create a whole portfolio with just one.

So I use galleries. But there are now very few options and they’re not half as well designed as the portfolio pages. For example you can’t make a gallery that fills out the screen – but you can a portfolio. And you can’t make a gallery with the categories bar above it – again, you can with a portfolio.

So I’m asking if you could please include some more options to the galleries. Right now only the “Image Gallery Alternative” is a decent option but it’s just not half as beautiful or classy as a full width portfolio page. Could you possibly make a gallery in the style of, say, your demo 3 (http://demo.megathe.me/skylab/demo-3/)?

Still, love some of the new stuff but in general you’re extremely limited if portfolios aren’t your thing.

Sorry, are the support tickets not working? Today is March 25 and I’ve been waiting since March 18 to get an answer to my question: Due to the last theme update, I’ve had to rebuild my website from scratch. Before the last update, I had a custom background from subtlepatterns.com called simple_dashed1.png that was entered here: Appearance>Theme Options>Style. I don’t see this option in the new version. Specifically, can you tell me where to enter this file in the updated theme so it will reflect as my background throughout my site? Thank you.

FYI…None of the images that are referred to in the Slider Revolution documentation show up when the file is opened. This makes it difficult to figure out how to use the slider. Please correct.

I have a black background on my menu, and the current page secondary navigation links are also black. I cannot seem to change the address displayed on the Google map. I have entered new address information on the Theme Options>Contact Infos section but there is not change. The site is stjamesphotography.com. The address showing is the default one in Australia, we wish to display an address in Rochester, NY. Please advise. Thanks!
