In your Demo 2, the search bar indicates to search by zip code or address. Is it possible to search by category? In addition to zip code or as the primary search?

I am looking to buy a directory theme, and had interest in yours. However, after reading comments, it seems like you might have quite a few issues going on. Including the above content, about the USER editor, not working. Is that true? If so, when will an update be released to fix it. I would like to buy today, but again, a little worried about “issues” after reading comments above. Any way you can ease my worry on the purchase. Meaning, what are you aware of is NOT working.

That’s a misunderstanding. it’s not a bug to fix by our side. it’s content part and it mostly use a simple text area. but we added an advanced editor from the 3rd part. but the advanced editor is not longer to use for wordpress. that’s why we switched to normal text area which is common. (we already posted a notice and files on our support site. it will be also changed on the next update) it’s fine to use it. at the same time, when we find an advanced editor, we will add in the future.

Thanks for the reply. So the standard editor is fine for the end user? You were just having issues with an advanced editor? I think that is how I read your answer.
Also, two more questions.
1. Do you plan on adding “category styled icons” anytime in the future. For example, a different icon for Car Dealers, or Restaurants, or Shops. A few other directory themes do this, which makes it easy to distinguish the type of business from the map. As of now, in your demo, all the icons are the same, except maybe different colors. Still hard to determine the type of business from map. So will you add category icons in the future? Or are we able to add them ourselves?
2. On the 360 camera tab option. Is that a service you are using, or how is that done? I can’t seem to find that on the demo page? And i assume that is just a picture of the location and not supposed to be a live video feed. OR is it a video feed too? I would just like to understand how that is accomplished.

Yes it works fine with a normal textarea field. (not editor). I have confirmed with our support team. they have a plan to add an editor in near future.
1. Do you mean “map (pin) markers / icons”? if so, we already have the option to upload your own custom map icons.
2. You need to create a 3D image and upload it to any server. and you add the iframe code in the 3D image field. please google about 3D images. you can find some tools or information.

Just a quick follow up on the 3d imaging. Is it as easy as downloading an APP like PhotoSynth from Microsoft, taking the panoramic view from your smart phone, and then uploading the file?
Am I right? Of do you know of better Apps? My assumption is that you guys simply handle the file within the theme? Is that right? Or does it run through Google Maps too?
Can you clarify that when you get a chance?

I am not sure about other apps. there are many apps for the images and you can find some tools for it on the internet. After you have the image and upload on a server. then put the link on 3d filed.

Hi, as you know, your editor in the customers area, to post an item, isn’t working. It is really embarrassing telling all my customers there is actually no way to fix it, if they talk to me about these problem. When will you fix that? That should not be a big problem, should it? - Is it possible to have links to individual sliders on home page (like to demo-1) pointing to specific directory listings (or Items as you call them) I choose ?
- Following the previous question, the “FEATURED ITEM” slider does link to specific Items. But can this entire slider be duplicated for the same use (with different Items featured) lower in the home page (or to another page) or not ?
- Can the demo 2 homepage be altered and use the slider from demo 1, placing the search box under it, while retaining all the rest elements of this page ?
- Is demo data included in downloaded zip ?
- Is it possible in Single Item to have a Tab with a gallery of images instead of Events Tab ? Or can this mini gallery section be placed under the Tab section or in the sidebar ?
- The “CATEGORY” section on demo 2 (where user chooses one of the Main categories to seek the Item he wants) can it point to another page with chosen Main Category’s “subcategories” instead of the map with the points where the Items are placed ?
- Is it possible not to have any login option to any user at all but the admin ?

1. We only have a feature items slider like one on demo1. it’s a shortcode.
2. It’s only for featured items. you can’t have other specific items.
3. You can replace shortcodes on pages. however the featured items are with a search form which it is on demo1.
4. demo datas are xml files.just like other wp data.
5. No it’s not possible. you can disable / able the tabs.
6. Yes you can link to another pages. there is a link field.
7. you can disable registration option and hide login option.

I’ve installed javo theme and having some problem with inline category slider, where the categories are showing vertically (one by one under each other), I’ve tried to edit in different ways, but isn’t showing properly in one horizontal line at all..tried to re-install the theme but no success.

I think it’s little different from what we have. you need more fields. we have custom fields you can create some. but I am not sure it’s what you need. we don’t have quotation form like that. you need to create or hire a local coder to create them.

I bought this theme and after install looked for documentation on how to set up the theme step-by-step and I found nothing. It is incredibly difficult to figure out how to set up this theme without any documentation and only a support forum, where we have to wait for ages for answers.
For example: I purchased the Uber theme and knew straight away how to set up the theme and how to use the visual editor. I have imported your demo data, but trying to copy this page with my own image, headings and text was impossible. I could not determine how to create a full background image with text on top of it:
http://javothemes.com/directory/demo3/Also, how do you expect us to understand the theme settings without any documentation or visual explanations of each setting. I have never encountered a theme this hard to set up. We really need you to step up here and provide setup documentation with visual explanations of all the different elements etc.
If you expect us to only use the forum to understand how to set up this theme then it will take an enormous amount of time to get a build finished.
A theme this complex needs documentation.
