Is it possible to have a demo of the backoffice ?

As with most themes sold here we unfortunately do not provide the ability to test the theme before you purchase it. The main reason for this is a demo would be editable by all users and as a result some users would completely ruin the theme and the potential buyer would then get a completely skewed view of how the theme works. When a reliable theme demo plugin is available, there are plans to allow theme testing.

Could you integrate as a new feature the ability for users who wrote their review, to edit their reviews (text + rating) if they need it (front end obviously)

How would you edit a review from the front-end? You may be able use the Capability Manager plugin to give users permission to enter the back-end and only edit their reviews.
To integrate a front-end editing interface such as this would take months to code to it’s unlikely it will be included with the theme, especially when you can purchase a plugin that does this already. However there are plans to allow users to click an edit link from the front-end so they can edit their post in the backend.
will this plugin allow to edit the user reviews from your theme? I thought it couldn’t be possible as “user reviews” is specific for your theme.
I’m not sure without testing the plugin, but it does say it works well with custom post types (which is what the user reviews are). I suggest asking the plugin developer if it will work with a theme’s existing custom post types.
i asked him, and after telling me yes it would work, he told me not he won’t (for what i want to do).
Anyway, can you at least tell me if a front end edit option + front end review managment for users is technically possible so i can know if i can fully start my project and later (if website works as i hope) hire someone to develop me a plugin that will do that ?
Also, could you add an option to restrict a user review on a single hub to one via ip restrict?
Could you at least add a button (that appear only if it’s our own review) to delete our reviews? That would be a more simple sytem and no need to have a dashboard to follow reviews like i wanted
Integrating any kind of front-end editing system would require a ton of work. However I’m certainly going to include buttons/links on the front-end that allow users to edit their reviews on the back-end.
I don’t think anybody wants their users to access back end.
A simple button to delete our reviews (no review mangment system) would be perfect and won’t need any back end access or massive work, the user reviews would simply go to bin.

Actually it’s pretty common that users access the backend. For instance WordPress gives users access to the backend to edit their profiles.

Yeah it’s common as it’s part of core wordpress, but i doubt anybody want their users to have access to wordpress back end even if it’s restricted (they just down know how to restrict the access) + one generally want to avoid that people know they use wordpress (personnaly access to back end is blocked for non staff members) in case the website goes beyond a simple blog project.

I am going to add this is an incredibly well-built theme. It has a beautiful hub feature that is truly unique.
However, I want to offer some recommendations. There is little in the realm of schema markup and this holds the theme back.
The homepage is held back because of how it relies on the header where a slider is supposed to go. If it were changed and it was more of a static theme there or allowed more customization it would get that news site feel (like Game Spot.)
Markup is wonderful.
I am pondering an idea of a plugin or some expansion you could do that would Integrate the Theme with MyArcadePlugin. Which is a plugin that allows users to add Arcade games to their website (flash games and such).. It supports a custom post type and thus you could add it fairly easily styling and more could require some work… I am part of the Plugin’s team and if you needed to work on it to add it to your theme, I can help you setup with it just contact me here…. scotth0407@gmail.com
MegaMenu with posts would be a good addition.
Allow for a more flexible footer the 3D thing kind of tripped me out and is not that good for UX…
Add breadcrumbs not, support from another plugin you should add custom ones that fit the style of the theme and work across all the unique content on the page.

good luck I might be purchasing especially if we can work out the integration issue since the next trend I am seeing is Arcade websites fusing into gaming and other websites and losing their own niche… Sad but needed to evolve
It might also be interesting to look into adding some sort of “Wiki” support as that is the only thing really missing…
There are some wiki plugins out there that might be interesting to integrate…

You do not need to have a slider on the homepage, you can customize the homepage however you like. Here’s an example of a homepage header more inline with GameSpot.com: http://gauge.wpengine.com/home-5/
There are plans to add posts within mega menus.
The 3D footer can be disabled.
If breadcrumbs and the need for integration with the Wiki and MyArcadePlugin become highly requested I will consider adding these feature.

Its not the admin bar but the wordpress logo and the sign in register that shows in the left corner. i already installed this plugin but it also shows for non loggedin users

Question. Can a custom field for each game post such as Game Rating Categories be added easily? Would we need to modify the template in child theme? Is it possible to have nested entries? For example, using your game theme, I might have a listing for a game developer that gives details on that developer and then have listings for all the games from that developer each with their own details. Some may want to browse by game type to go to the game itself or by the software developer. I know you can tag and link by developer but can it be some type of entry/listing with details about the developer?
Or an auto manufacturer. I might have an entry for Audi and give overall company details, but then have entries for each car they make with their own details. Someone might still want to browse by car type or by manufacturer.

Is possible to use only users score instead of site score and users score? Which plugin is used to score the reviews? I tried to vote and the user score wasn’t changed. Does it supports cache plugins like WP Super Cache for example?

Yes you can just display the user score and have no site score. The theme doesn’t use a rating plugin, the review system is part of the theme.
My server has a built-in cache and I have not experienced any issues – but I’m not sure if it will be cached with WP Super Cache. Since there has been thousands of votes, it may take a lot of new scores to change the current user score.
Could you please share some print screens of the backoffice?Specially how can configure the rating system.
Is possible to let regular users to create posts with a rating system? Or the rating system only works for pages? From the screenshots I can’t see any rating option for posts.
You can allow users to rate a hub (game for example) using the user rating box, or they can write a review from the front end form for a given hub e.g. http://gauge.wpengine.com/call-of-duty-ghosts/write-a-review/. Here’s a few screenshots of the backend.

You can disable the retina images option to half the number of images created but you can’t completely disable this without editing the theme.

I can give you some pointers, but you would need to make a number of changes to a lot of theme files which is beyond the scope of the free support I offer.

Yes, if you used the same image and just constrained the width and height rather than cropping it you could be loading a huge image when only a small version is needed. While cropping the image only loads the huge and small image versions when needed. All images are cached when viewed for the first time also.
