If your web site “after last update backend doesn’t works! it’s a blank page” after the latest avada update and you tried the Theme Fusion advices but still not working? Try to reactivate the theme/child theme. It seems that the update deactivate it.

At least that´s what happened to me…

After all the comments that the 3.8 is buggy, I’m getting anxious of buying

There was one main issue and it only affected very specific server environments. And it has been fixed, v3.8.2 is live. Please understand that the only comments you see are the ones from customers who are having an issue, the vast majority of our user base has been good :)

And most of the comments seen are due to things that are not bugs, like clearing cache, plugin cache, updating correctly, etc.

Also, this can happen in updates, it happens to every single theme out there. The difference with us is we are all over it and get it fixed immediately and take care of our customers, which is why they keep coming back to us.

Please make sure you are up to date, 3.8.2 is the latest.

Also make sure you clear your cache and also update fusion core plugin.

I noticed the new update asks for a registration code. As I’m building my site on localhost and then moving it to a webserver once it is ready to go, will I need two registration codes?

Thank you! I also cannot import the demos. I’ve increased WP Memory Limit to 256 and PHP Time limit to 300, but it is still timing out. Any ideas?

Hello Avada team,

we tried updating from 3.8.1. to 3.8.2. today via your/WP’s automatic update function.

We exited the browser after 20 minutes, even though it was running flawlessly – i.e. it did not crash, as it seemed as if the Avada update was stuck/not working properly.

Now we’re stuck with debug mode as such “WP Debug Mode: –”.

Our config file shows true so that can’t be the problem either.

The CMS shows “Ein automatisches Update konnte nicht beendet werden – Bitte starte das Update jetzt erneut.”

Now while we may have found a workaround for this, deleting the .maintenance file, we can’t be sure if the new update was installed correctly.

How can we be sure that everything is ok?

It sounds like the download did not update, there may of been a temporary server issue with the Themeforest servers that serve the files.

I would recommend downloading it from your downloads tab and installing the update via FTP. https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/install-update/ftp-installation/

Thank you very much for the response and your hard, passionate work.

I wanted to let you know that the problem still persists. We deleted everything from the server and reinstalled all needed components and the Avada theme v3.8.2 accordingly. An update from 3.8.2 to 3.8.3 recreated the same problem as stated above.

We researched probable causes. To make the story short, be advised that our webhoster, Strato.de, does not provide a maximum execution time of 180. While our info.php states 0, it is NOT unlimited. We were asked to book a dedicated server, however that is not the scope of our webshop. There are no other solutions available to us.

Having said this, Avada 3.8.1 was our last stable version. Unfortunately, and embarrasingly, we didn’t back up our files before we updated to 3.8.2. Would you be willing to provide this version, somehow?

I will create a support ticket but I ask that you please provide an answer here as well. At least we wanted to caution anyone using Strato.de.

Very sorry this is still going on for you! You will not need a dedicated server for this, something is not uploading right in my opinion or it is using older files from before.

I’ve found your ticket and replied (I am Luke), we can do what you need but do recommend going to 3.8.3. If you can provide us WP and FTP access we can handle it for you as well.

I just did a speed check using GTmetrix, It shows that my page load time is slow so it was recommended that I add a code to the top of my .htaccess file for compressing files.

First of all, would you recommend that or do you have a better way ?

And, I can’t find the htaccess file when looking at the files in the theme using Edit. How do I go about finding and editing the file?

Does this mean that if I enable the compiler in 3.8.2 and it crashes, I can simply disable the compiler and all will return to normal? At present I am still running 3.7.4

Yes, exactly, you can disable or enable the compiler from theme options. The option is available in advanced options tab of theme options.

is it possible to create a menu that have 1 picture and within that picture i want menu items.

So for example:

1 picture of a men, then at his arms a menu item with the text ‘arms’ and at his feets a menu item called ‘feets’ and so on.

I’m sorry for the delay. We have been working on more than 48 hours and my eye accidently skipped this one and I marked comments as read.

Unfortunately, the feature you’re requesting is not available out-of-the-box with Avada, however, you can try and find a wordpress plugin for such functionality.

then i tried to import the new app landingpage demo” then my mysql got i compleatly overloaded ...

so i hope this time it will work ..it seems too that your theme has many new features but seems to compleatly overlodaded and memory consuming

Unfortunately, that is not possible. However, you can setup a staging site and import the demo data over there to copy it to your main site.
