I bought your amazing theme. It looks like I will have to re-do every single post but it is worth it. I have a new question, how do I change the backround color of the main body and the colors of the grid items like the columns and such. Do I need to go into a css sheet? If so where?

I tried editing styles.css several times and the color edits do not reflect on the site. I made sure to empty backend and browser cache still no change.

Another question how to change the size of the video player? ALso the description text is annoying because it shows right under the video and then again in the side area. This is bad SEO too creating duplicate sentences on a page.

And also where can I add a advert under the video in the PHP loop. Also where is the PHP loop for the area right above the footer and above the post grids as well so I can insert advertisements. I have high traffic volume and I need my adzones. Even if your theme does not support them you can tell me where these loops are in the PHP. I would also like to ad an ad to the header if possible. Thanks.

Also I am using a thumbnail grid that I crop the thumbnail I like from it in wordpress. I use a program to create the grid import the grid and crop the dedired thumbnail. The image behind the video shows the original grid and not the cropped thumbnail. Also the video player does not display a poster/splash using the featured image. This is essential.

I have tried width/height parameters and poster/splash commands in the video shortcode but nothing is working. The video is so large it cannot even fit in view in it’s entirety without scrolling. I also unticked “show image” in the playlist editor but backround image is STILL there.

Okay size is fine when I change the global layout to boxed. But still I want to get rid of the background image behind the player and i want to add a poster/splash image to video player that displays before you click play.

Okay so I have made a lot of comments so I want to make it easier for you here is a numbered list of items I need addressed.

1. I need to know how to implement a poster/splash image on the video player.

2. I like the video posts to be boxed style but I want the rest of the site to be full width how can I do this?

3. I want to REMOVE the background image from the video player area.

4. List of line locations in PHP for the loops of ad zone areas such as above footer, above posts grids, the side content area next to videos, and header if possible.

5. What line in the css is the main background color located? also color changes for the post grid items such as the description area under each thumbnail and text color of the title and description.

6. Is it possible to add a tumblr share icon to the thumbnail drop sliders?

7. I have enabled the filteration option in the shortcode but it does not appear. Using this shortcode for my homepage [mf_media_query columns=”4” autoload=”0” show_tags=”0” masonry=”0” filteration=”1”]

We are going to give possible solutions which may help you to migrate your data fast.

Okay well as soon as I installed your theme the videos no longer attached to the posts so that makes it impossible. If you could find a way for me to simply convert all my standard posts into video posts that would cut my time down a lot because all I would have to do then is add media for each one one at a time but i would no longer have to copy and paste all the text,tags,categories, and reset featured image

Oh by the way the only reason I requested boxed on video posts but full width on rest of site is full width version of video post makes video HUGE. If there is a way you can just make that content area smaller and surrounding elements a little bigger that would be good too. Either way. Currently boxed makes video posts look perfect (except for the silly boxed look lol).

Before moving to the actual answers here is the little introduction that how theme uploader theme is working.

Just like the wordpress native functionality Uploader theme is automatically creating shortcodes for all attached videos and similarly it is using different shortcodes for 1 file and multiple files.

a. for single video we are using video shortcode. b. for multiple videos we are using playlist shortcode.

following are the answers of your questions

1. You can overwrite this functionlity by using wordpress video shortcode directly into the post editor along with poster attribute.

2. There is no default functionality to acheive this but if you want we can add this feature for you.

3. The Uploader theme is automatically creating playlist for all uploaded video files and it is using featured image as background, again to overwrite this default functionality you have to use Wordpress Playlist shortcode directly into the post.

followings are the steps to change or hide the playlist background.

1. Add / Edit your video post.
2. Open Wordpress media manager.
3. click on create playlist and insert it into the post.
4. add additional uploader theme custom attribute “background_image” in this shortcode.

e.g.

[playlist type=”video” ids=”1748, 2000” background_image=”“]

or

background_image=”http://yourimagedomain.com/imagepath/image.jpg”

4. Could you please elaborate this point little more in details.

5. Yes, by default you can change the limited stylesheet values from backend, but we strongly suggest you that instead of doing direct changes please share the list of things you want to change we will include them as a part of Uploader theme.

Note: ( This offer is limited and will be considered only if that option is necessary ) In case you want to edit these from stylesheet then we are also available to assist you.

6. No, for that you have to update the code directly and we are here to assist you to identify the code.

7. Very strange, please contact us through our ticket system along with your Wordpress admin credentials for further inspection.

As already mentioned Uploader Theme is using wordpress native media manager to store media files, so the only thing you have to do is to just change the post type of your existing posts to exc_video_post.

Following are the possible solutions ( note: we haven’t tested them )

a. if you are importing through xml file, then edit the post_type of your videos posts to exc_video_post by using any text editor.

b. You can also move your existing database and wp-content/uploads directory to your uploader theme installation and after that change their post_type, site_url ( if necessary ) through database queries.

Note: if you are interested we can also provide you premium support services for migrating your data from old to new.

You have to change a very little code to change column size of video section, let us know if you need instructions to change it.

1. Using wordpress [video] shortcode does not work because using it causes the player to not fit the content area properly no matter what width/height attribute I use. Only the playlist shortcode sizes the video to the content area properly. Is there a way to add a poster attribute to the playlist shortcode? I already tried the standard poster=”yourdomain.com/images/something.png” within the playlist shortcode to no aavail.

2. You mention in the follow up comment that the video content area can be changed with simple code. Please reply with that code and where it goes.

3. [playlist type=”video” ids=”1748, 2000” background_image=”“] this shortcode did not remove the background image. The issue remains.

4.I need to put ads on my website I was making good money before switching to you. You have not pre-configured ad zones for this theme so I need to add my ad iframes an links into THE LOOP in PHP usually somewhere after a line containing the phrase “endwhile”. By adding my codes to these areas in PHP the ads will display where I want them on all posts or all pages on the website in that specific area. I need to put ads in meta area next to a video where sharing,tags,cat sections are, need an ad under the videos or above related videos area, need an ad above the footer area right below pagination, need an ad above post grids, also if possible a header ad. On a video tube ads around the videos get clicked the most so since your video posts do not come equipped with a customizable sidebar and no ad space below video in theme options this is only way I can do it.

5. No need for you to do it yourself simply give me the proper css filename and line to be edited coinciding with these: main background color of all pages main background color for all posts(all content areas and comment areas) main background color of sidebar content Main background color of user areas, login, register etc all main background areas lol text color for thumbnails in post grids including description/title/author/stats icons background color of the area that holds all the stuff mentioned above (thumbnail meta area) Change the color of the semi transparent video camera icon overlaying each thumbnail change the color of the background to the social sharing drop down thingy over each thumbnail change the color of both the social icons and the upload date box on thumbnails background color of search button and field border also color of search icon on button change colors of where the filteration will be if you can get it working including background color to the gray bar it sits on and all text and elements within it all pagination colors including hovers all of the same stuff as above but in the user back end area/profile uploader widget color uploading interface colors ALL

That is all I can think of right now some of that is pretty detailed but basic things like background colors of major page elements and text color of universal areas should be in theme options UI.

7. Giving access to my admin is a last resort, can you think of ANYTHING at all that would cause the filter stuff to not appear? I notice it does appear for like a split second you see a flash of it then it is gone and all that is there is “687 media files | category dropdown | search bar” and that’s it no filter options. get back to me on this in comments but if you still can’t think of a few possibilities I can try I will give you access to admin.

Thank you for your support one thing I look for in an author is support quality that is my main concern when buying a new theme or plugin.

As for migration, I am going to do it by hand and do half of what I had, delete the rest, and just start uploading my already huge back log of videos in que, also with your front end features my users will be more able to contribute now.

[mf_user_query] does not work. Need working shortcode to create a “members” page to browse members.

We are using bootstrap, so changing the columns is very easy, following are the steps to change the columns

1. Open single-exc_video_post.php change the column number on line # 13 to your desired value

e.g.

to

2. After changing the main content area width you can change the sidebar in sidebar-media.php on line #3

for further information about of columns work in bootstrap, you can read their documentation.

Hi I know you guys are busy but I have a new problem. Pagination is not working correctly. Clicking page “2” or “3” results in the url changing properly in the url bar in browser but every page is the same posts. Each page is the first page repeated…..strange. Please help me address the easiest stuff here guys I love your theme I need to get it working I have 17,000 uniques so far today and I am embarassed lol at the mess please look over that list above all my responses to your suggested fixes and help me

Unfortunately, We missed the shortcode hook for mf_user_query and it was skipped in QA because the users page was working fine.

We updated our code and it’s submitted to themeforest but if you need it instantly then please contact us through our ticket system we will share the updated file.

1. Wordpress has the ability to force the width your content by using the $content_width in functions.php and Uploader theme is also setting the content width by using the same method. You can easily adjust it according to your requirement. its written in functions.php on line #27. if in case you want to complete rid of it then just comment this line.

2. No, wordpress do not allow poster attribute in playlist shortcode.

3. We checked once again and it’s absolutely working fine, please make sure that the spelling are correct if the problem is still there then please contact us through our ticket system and share the complete text you are using in editor.

4. The ads feature is in our que list and hopefully it will be available in future. You have to edit following files

a. modules/related_posts.php
b. single-exc_video_post.php
c. header.php

5. Right now the HTML support team is off, we will share the complete information during their working hours.

7. by default the filtration is on so have you tried it by just removing the filtration attribute? if it’s possible then share the link of the page where you are facing this issue. we will try to figure it out.

Oh that was clearly mentioned in documentation about the force frontend login feature.

anyways here is the quick solution

1. Login to ftp and go to wordpress wp-content/themes directory 2. rename uploader theme to anything like uploader_, this will switch your theme back to wordpress default theme. 3. now you can login to wordpress admin panel and add your email address or just activate the uploader theme once again. 4. you can disable the force frontend login feature from theme options > member settings

The updated version is available for download and to fix the [mf_user_query] shortcode issue you have to delete and reinstall exc-uploader-theme plugin.

Strange please share the complete text of the page,

Yes just delete it from plugins directory and you will be notified in admin panel to install it.

Please make sure that before making any suggested changes you take backup of your database and directory.

so the pagination is upsetting me. It does not work. you click next page or a number and even though the url changes to that page number it simply reloads the same posts. Like the first page gets repeated on every page. I hate the autoloader i want to make the pagination work. I am forced to use autoload until you guys figure it out. ALSO I notice that the filtration feature only shows up if the shortcode contains autoload=”1” if autoload=”0” filtration does not show.

Also I do not have exc-uploader-theme plugin and was never prompted to install it. is there a direct download link?

lol another problem when using the filter to “videos” it says “14 media files” and only displays 14 video posts in the grid even though I have migrated/created 60+ today I have cleared cache still same. I am going to sleep now I have been working for nearly 24 hours straight please just comment back with some solutions so when I wake up I can get this stuff worked out.

There are 2 plugins included in this theme

1. Extracoding Framework ( directory name plugins/exc-framework ) 2. Uploader Theme Plugin ( directory name plugins/exc-uploader-theme)

Please go to your plugin page and see the plugin must be installed as without it you will not able to see any custom post type.

If you want to install it manually you can find the native copy in themes/uploader/includes/thirdparty/tgm-plugin-activation/plugins copy the zip file and extract it in plugins directory.

The only thing left is that we have to tell you about the relevant CSS code to change the colors.

Steven, please make sure that all posts are published and once again without looking at the actual site we will not diagnose your pointed issues.

All posts are published 64 of them but only 14 showing in front end. It is a popular adult website. Not sure if I am allowed to post the link on here….......I will send the link in a direct message.

Thanks. So it doesn’t seem possible to upload multiple images for one post. In other words if a user wanted to upload a recipe with 5 images showing the process. All 5 images would need to be in that one post. However I’m not seeing how that could be done.

Yes, all the uploaded attachments are being uploaded in the same post.

Here is way how can achieve this

1. Uploaded the featured images of your recipes ( You can add one or more at the same time )

2. Click on edit button and attach additional images along with post title, description and other information.

Nope. Not what I’m looking for. Doing the above wouldn’t result in a post formatted in the manner that my users would want.
