Hey. I’m hesitating to purchase your theme. I really like it. But I’am not sure to understand this : “Not only will the PARALLAX feature be on the main one page, but you can also select a DEFAULT PARALLAX section and even a “page section” to be displayed across all other pages…”
It means, I can have more than one page like the home page?

It means that you can have different parallax/page sections on subpages. Like this one Here has it’s own parallax section(superman pic) that was made for that post only, while all the other posts have the guy/cab parallax.
You can choose to select different “Parallax & Page Sections” to show below posts and pages when not on the front page(onepage layout).

..... also, is there a way of uploading a wider logo in the lefthand side of the main navigation bar? It seems to limit it at the moment.

In the new version 2.0, where you upload you’re logo under that you can set custom width and height for the logo.
If you’re on older version follow below steps.
1- Go to Theme Options > Styling Options scroll down to “Custom CSS” and use below code. Change “WIDTH & HEIGHT” to your logo size.

Could you please help with the following:
1. I would like the header to not show the Site Title and Tag line. Is there a short code to hide this? http://www.501union.com/ has achieved this.
2. When I look at http://www.501union.com/ on iPhone/iPad and desktop the header i.e. white bg with the logo works perfectly in the centre of the screen. Is there any short code used here to achieve this? I get very strange results on the iPad with my attempts. I have tried taking his image dimensions and looking at source code to replicate.

If you’re using full slider header in V2.0, just don’t enter text in the fields and will show just the images.
If you’re using parallax header option, do below steps.
1- Go to Theme Options > Styling Options scroll down to “Custom CSS” and use below code.

2- Save Theme Options
For the logo header like 501union.com, looks like the logo is part of the image, that’s why it resizes like that..

1) how can I change the colour of the text for the website name (on the first page over the slider). I need to change the title and the tagline.
2) I have added my email address and it has taken the email section out of the contact page elationeducation.com/Personal/

I’ll get a different way to change those colors in the header, but for now you can use below.
1- Go to Theme Options > Styling Options scroll down to “Custom CSS” and use below code.

For the email issue, looks like you entered a link(<a>) tag in it. You just need to enter your email address, and will be displayed right.

Any Page Sections added to the menu will be displayed on the front one page layout. For any sections you choose to not add to the menu, they won’t be shown on the front one page layout.
If you were on version less then 1.3 then you’ll need to update to the new easier menu feature that was added in 1.3 for the sorter to work.

You just need to go to your “Downloads” section here on Themeforest and download the updated version, and replace the previous version on your WP with updated one.
Hello. I just purchased your theme and have been working on it. I just hit my first snag. I was trying to add an image to the main first parallax (using the one that was in the demo template… snow boarder) and looks fine everywhere but on iPad. the bkg image is blown up what looks like 2000%. it was one of the first things i did so i did not change any other settings that i know about. would you have any ideas? thanks… can wait to get the template setup!

OK I been around Wordpress a little but never Parallax or one page sites (same thing?). Why I am struggling with controlling the backgrounds and figuring out what content goes where? Is there video tutorial somewhere?
There is a “Documentation” folder in the download, if you go in there open index.html and it has all the steps on how to set it up and how to even import sample data so it looks like the theme preview I have, which is a good starting point.

I didn’t make that Photoshop action, a commenter(TheAdsmiths) did.
Not sure where it saves to.
But in the action panel toggle down “Parallax Background” and uncheck Export and Close.. it will do the action then you just need to save for web.. You can do the same for action “Dark Background Filter” uncheck Export & Close
Maybe if the commenter sees your message he can share where the images folder should be..

Hello, The file you download from Themeforest, you need to unzip that file, inside it is a file called ninezeroseven_v1.3.zip this is the file you need to upload through your Wordpress admin area.

Is there a particular image size that works best for full page slider images?
That plugin says to try keep file size under 200kb and says 1024×768 recommended for image size. If you use bigger image, just optimize it so the kbs aren’t really high.

There is a shortcode for that, you can use the generator or paste the below code where ever you want the contact form to show up..

Not sure if you know this, but inside the folder you downloaded from Themeforest, there is a folder called “Documentation” inside that open index.html. This has all kinds of info with pictures on shortcodes, setup, menu, sample data and so on.

I was having too many glitches, so I just deleted the entire thing. I’m going to reinstall now. Hopefully all the glitches I’ve been having will be solved with a fresh install.

Theme install failed.
You just need to delete previous version you have first.

Firstly, a great theme design! it’s exactly what I was looking for!
I’m wondering what size should the images be for the “Parallax Sections” so that they do not tile. Ideally i’d like the images to stretch to the full width of the browser, similar to the full width slider, so that they do not repeat. Is this possible??

ok, i’ve got a problem with menus in that ‘page sections’ aren’t appearing for me to add to the menu. In the admin panel i’ve got ‘custom links’, ‘pages’ and ‘categories’ but no ‘page sections’. any ideas why? thanks

another question if I may. do the page sections need to be created in the order you want them to be displayed (because there is no option to order them like pages)?
Well if you don’t create them in order, you can always change the publish date on them to rearrange them in the order you want.
I’ll be adding a better way to sort page sections in a update.

Hey there, I’m loving this theme so far, though the ordering of the sections took me a bit to figure out. Great work!
Just to make things easier for other people, here’s a link to a Photoshop actions set that crops images to the proper size, then optimizes and saves them for web.
You’ll need to set the save path yourself, but it can still save some time! I also tossed in a basic ‘darkening’ action to make any white text overlaid on the image more readable.
