I’m not sure what part doesn’t look like the demo. If it’s the navigation, you need to manually setup menus (refer to the documentation included and go to HEADER SETUP > Menus) and footer widgets if you are going to use them.

Other than that, everything else looks fine to me.

Thank you for purchasing Adaptation.

If you wish to display a video as the post thumbnail, you need to select the Video Post format (above the post title) and paste the video link (from Yuutube, Vimeo or similar site that is supported by the WordPress oEmbed feature) in the VIDEO URL field. Note that the theme doesn’t support self-hosted videos.

To show videos in the post itself along with the text, just paste the video link in the post editor and the video should appear.

To display full posts on the front page, just don’t insert the “read more” tag in the post text when writing the post as that is where the post is cut off to create the excerpt.
