Hi there!
Great job, this looks like a great theme!
I have a few questions. I really like the social sharing feature on the blog posts. This is what I was hoping you would add to Stability; was it implemented with Addthis?
How does pagination work with the masonry blog and portfolio templates? I didn’t notice a more button. Does it automatically add additional links as the page scrolls?
Are the masonry blogs posted as a timeline chronologically? I assume that’s the case but it isn’t obvious since they all have to same date.
How hard would it be to create a homepage like Stability’s Homepage 8 with its taxonomy categories?
Can you provide a link to the theme’s documentation?
Thanks!
Hi, Thank you for your kind words.
1. Social sharing implemented by “Social Share” module: https://www.drupal.org/project/social_share it’s very flexible and easy in use.
2. Currently the masonry blog have defaul pagination, I’m will work at this and will try to implement the “Show more” button
3. Yes the blog masonry ordered by date, this is default view which can be configured as you wish.
4. This will require a lot of custom work and CSS styles.
5. Documentation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zkhybaeeko44do8/Documentation.zip?dl=0
Thanks.
Thanks for you quick response!
1) I haven’t worked with this module before but it does appear to be quite simple and flexible. Does it display a counter of shares like Addthis? If do it might be good idea for you to share a couple of pages to demonstrate what it looks like.
I know this isn’t your module but when I went to go look at it on Drupal.org it appears to be used on only a very few sites even though only a few months ago it listed over 10,000 site were using it. Do you know why this might be?
2) I am looking forward to seeing how the pagination works. It would be amazing it you could include an option automatically added more entries the same way that Facebook and Twitter do!
4) How much of this work would be Drupal specific? If I already have existing HTML and CSS for a newspaper front page would that make creating the page easier?
6) I didn’t see a comments section for the blog posts. Is this implemented and will there be avatars like those in Stability?
Thanks again!
Hi,
1. Unfortunatelly it only show the required links to social websites for sharing.
2. Yep, thanks, I’m will try to implement this also.
3. This will require not only styling work, also should be created Views and theirs templates.
6. Yes, you can see the comments section here: http://aurum.nikadevs.com/blog/12-dolorem-eum-fugiat-quo-voluptas
Thanks.
Thanks for the response. The more I look at your themes the more I like them!
1)It does seem like it loads quickly compared addthis and other services.
2. That sounds great! Do you think you could and a timeline blog template with a sidebar on each side? That’s a common magazine style and it would be awesome it supported it out of the box. Both of these would also be a great addition to Stability.
7 I already have blocks with views on the home page of my existing site Assuming that I use your install for existing sites can I easily use these blocks with your layout builder?
We use an article content type that we use for almost all of our existing pages. Would those be compatible with your layout builder?
10) I watched your demo again. Thanks again for creating it! Is it possible to create a new tag while created a page or does it have to be done somewhere else?
11)It looks like you just updated the theme to 1.1. Are you prepping a change log and do you have a link to the updated documentation?
Thanks again!
Hi,
2. If this will be added in the HTML template, then I’m will move this into Drupal theme.
7. Yes you can use them, also with Visual Shortcodes.
9. Thanks for reporting this, I’m will fix this ASAP.
10. The tags is a part of the taxonomy module, and can be easily configured.
11. I’ve updated the Change Log, the documentation stayed the same.
Thanks.
Thanks again for the response! I am deciding between Stability and Aurum. Both are great themes but at this point Aurum in in the lead. Since many of your updates build on the HTML base themes and the author of Aura appears to be updating his theme much more frequently.
I have a few more questions and for the sake of simplicity I’ll start my list over.
1) That’s great news about the Blog update. I was just looking at your Timeline blog and it doesn’t appear to render with a timeline in Chrome or Safari. Below is a link to Aura so you can see what I am talking about. http://pi-themes.com/blog-blog-timeline-wide.html 2) Can you implement the Modal type in Aura? That would amazingly helpful for something we are working on. http://pi-themes.com/modals.htmlThanks again!
Hi,
1. Thank you for reporting this, will implement in the next release. 2. Yes, will be implemented in the next release
Thanks.
Hi,
That’s fantastic news! When do you think the next update will be released?
Thank again!
Hi, I hope to made this release on the next week. Thanks for your interest.
Hi there! Any update on the update with new features and fixed blog timeline page? We are ready to get started as soon as these are done.
Thanks!
Asked for and received! You are the best!
Hi,
Thanks
Hi there!
Great job on the update! In fact it’s close enough to perfect that we decided to purchased it.
There are a couple of issues that remain, but I am confident you can get them finished pretty quickly.
1) The blog timeline looks great but it is showing the current month instead of showing month/year of the blog post. I have included a link below the Aura HTML template that you can use as a reference. Also the link for Blog Timeline appears to be pointing your Blog Timeline + sidebar. It should be a quick fix to update the link.
http://pi-themes.com/blog-blog-timeline-sidebar.html 2) The categories links in your sidebar are still giving a 404 message. There is a link below for your reference. http://aurum.nikadevs.com/blog-timeline/sidebar3) This last item is more of wish list, but have you considered creating something like the Aura about company templates? I realize it can be built using your existing elements but it would be great to have ready to use pages where the formatting just works.
Thanks again and great work!
HI there !
Do you have an idea of when the fixes will be ready? I would like to get sense why the categories links are giving a 404 error. Is it just the view or does it have something to do with how taxonomies are handled internally?
Thanks again!
Hi, Sorry for delayed answer.
1. Please upload this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/mqfznrtmw83dacq/views-view-fields--blog-timeline.tpl.php?dl=0 to \sites\all\themes\aurum\templates\
2. Open this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/r492xmbm6nhrh88/view-blog.txt?dl=0 and copy all code, after this import it on this page: admin/structure/views/import and save the new view.
3. I’m will try to implement this on the next release, thanks for suggestion.
Thanks.
Thanks, I appreciate it! Do you plan to update your demo so that it no longer displays the errors?
Also what kind of timeline do you have for your next update?
Thanks again!
I forgot to ask about something. Did you consider keeping your original Timeline blog templates? Even though they didn’t render a proper timeline I think they could still be useful for site building.
Thank!
HI there… i just wanted make sure you go these questions.
Thanks again!
Hi, Thanks for you patience. I’ve already updated the demo, thanks. The old version of the Timeline was without styles, so it will not be saved. I’m planing to add AJAX refreshing to blog timeline.
Thanks.
Thanks for your response and that’s great news! When do you expect the next update to be out?
Thanks again!
Hi, Currently I’m doesn’t have a date of the next update. Thanks.
Thanks again! Keep up the great work and I am definitely looking forward to the next update.
FYI, I was just checking the site demo and it appears to be having some issues.
Hi, Thanks, fixed.
Will your Visual Composer module work in a standar drupal installation. Let’s say I buy this theme, then can I use this module in other drupal theme?
Hi, This module will work correctly only with this theme. Thanks.
