Hi there I have a few pre-sale questions thank you!
1. From the demo we see agencies and nominees…are these both added by front-end submission? Are they both considered users with different roles? How is this structured? It’s not entirely clear. 3. Can all users submit a nominee? If I register as a user but not an agency – can I submit a nominee? 4. How many plugins are used to run the theme? Do any need to be purchased for any features?
Thanks for your help!
Also – another question 5. Is there online installation and setup documentation or is support only available within comments here? Can you share some admin screenshots – thanks
Hi, thanks for your interest.
When a user will register in your site, by default user role will be subscriber, after that user can apply for agency or nominee. Both can submit nominees. From front-end user can only submit nominees. When user will apply for agency and admin approved it, agency can add their details(like budget, designations etc).
All required plugins are included in our theme package, you do not need to purchase any of them.
Online documentation is not available. Email here https://themeforest.net/user/themestall#contact for getting admin screenshots.
Thanks
Ok thanks – I sent you an email! What does it mean that a nominee can submit a nominee? Are ‘nominee’ and ‘agency’ separate tables in the DB?
I guess it’s also unclear why a registered user would submit an agency and pay for it versus submit a site for free? Are there different packages? Can each package have different options/fields for the listing? Thanks!
Hi, only register user who apply for agency or nominee can submit a site. Both can submit site and data will save in single table of DB. But there is a option that agency or nominee can submit their site with two ways, one is free, another is paid. You can choose both or any one of them. You can add packages via pricing table, and pricing table’s price will show in nominee submission page.
Thanks
Ok thanks – can you give an example of why an agency/nominee would pay for submission? What is the difference between free submission and paid submission?
Hi, its depend on your policy, if you want you can only set free submission and if you think you can add paid options. Both submission has same fields, but after submission admin can see which one is paid and which one is free, admin can give different kind of facilities for paid site (like set it in sidebar or widget for a month). Basically paid options added for admin’s earning facilities. As an admin it will be your choice what option you will select for your site.
Thanks
Love the concept, but it seems to lack functionality (can’t edit filter options, no payment feature etc.)
Hi, thanks for your interest.
Which filter options is not editable?
And in our latest version payment feature is available, you can select free or paid version, we used PayPal for payment.
Feel free to ask any question.
Thanks
Congratulations! Nice Theme, Good Luck With Sale
Thanks fieldthemes.
Hi. Awesome theme. I am interested to buy it. Really nice work. I have a question, is there any option to select a site winner?
Hi, thanks for your interest.
Admin can set a single nominee site as a winner from admin panel, there is a option for it.
Feel free to ask any question.
Thanks
hey again – thanks for the reply to my comments above – although I didn’t get the documentation (not in my “junk” mail, either) – but @rustybadgeok’s questions above (and your answers) covered much of what I wanted to know was lacking on the demo. (because apparently – by dint of your reply – it’s not part of the working elements in the actual theme!)
Here is the thing – and i hate to say this – but with all due respect – your response to @rustybadgeok says “nowhere did we say there is a paid option for the theme” (for submissions) – BUT, visually – there ARE tons of elements that would obviously suggest there IS, from a page dedicated to “pricing” – with (pricing packages for submission) to the full width BOLD red banner on every page that advertises a $49 price for submitting your site/listing/etc. No reasonable person is going to look at this theme, buy it, and not expect the most prominent pieces of the demo to actually work (whether you explicitly say it or not – especially when you’ve said very little, overall)
If you don’t think that visually – to buyers who are browsing your theme – that the intuition and understanding is – the site comes with all of the elements in the demo working in some capacity as shown – you clearly aren’t thinking deeply about marketing – or presentation – or how folks browsing TF for themes are making buying decisions.
In your case – you are using the exact text from the HTML version – which is probably a large part of the problem with folks like the guy above – and me – expecting things to work that aren’t even part of the package – but are prominent in the demo)
This ought to have sold 10X what it has – and if you clearly communicate what is (and what is not) included – in plain language – I and many others, i’m sure will be happy to buy.
Hi, you mentioned “full width BOLD red banner on every page that advertises a $49 price for submitting your site/listing/etc”, this is only a random text.
Paid version is not available in Awards, only free site submission is available.
Please tell us your requirement what do you want, if it is match with Awards we will inform you.
Thanks
I understand that it’s just random text – but the intuition – and understanding – is that theme buyers will be able to modify that with our own “random text” and use that to promote our own ideas/offers/site or service – on a paid submission page. (like the one you have displayed on your demo – without live links)
No worries – I get what the theme can do now per the above – I just think you’ll serve yourself well by articulating exactly that – on the description of the item – in clear language – that the parts of the demo that appear to have ecommerce oriented functionality – and flexibility – don’t. (and won’t) Until they will.
If “awards” allowed users – like any conventional “directory” to pay a fee for a premium listing – or to submit anything at all – or submit products for sale (where the “CSS gallery image” goes now – this could be a book – or a product – or a coupon, etc – with the link to the “project” simply going to an external site) – this is how most folks aren’t going to creatively imagine how a great looking design like yours – could be implemented in imaginative ways – outside of a CSS design awards style community. (it’s also – if you look at your description – how you suggest others (affiliate oriented/directory) etc – could implement.
Again – it looks great – i’m not trying to be difficult – but I run a lot of directories through my business – have bought all of the ones on TF (and off) – this has lots of potential in some unique ways that ought to really serve you (and the designer of the html version – who i assume is partnering with you on this) – I simply think a few tweaks – to match what the demo “suggests” it can do – would exponentially enhance, increase and extend the popularity of this in some obvious ways.
(you have my email address per my doc request – if you’d like – i’d be happy to make some free suggestions privately – and send you a link to my blog – where i have lots and lots of directory marketing related posts – and an active community of folks buying themes and brainstorming ideas)
We are happy to get your advise. Thank you very much.
Hi, Great job! Can I use video(youtube, vimeo) instead of image?
Hi, thanks for your interest. Currently we used only featured image, but if you need video we can customize it for you.
Thanks
Hi I’ve ran into a lot of problems with this theme, which is a shame because it looks great!
Many of the features advertised simply don’t work.
Can you please reply to this mail, and we can go through the issues? I was going to use my network here in Sweden to blog about this theme because I was so excited about it (I am a social media influencer and business owner) but I think I’ll wait until it does what it says it will do…
Thanks,
Russell rus121@hotmail.comHi, our developer will solve all of your problem, don’t fret, if you have any problem we are always ready to assist you.
Thanks
The submit-a-site page does not work on mobile. It just redirects to the start page.
Now the login / register page has stopped working for no apparant reason. https://www.evernote.com/l/AJUGJlIwpC5G5J-LkdCqsKl0KQWAijNIwgk
Not too impressed with this theme so far guys I’m afraid, and it’s quite an expensive theme too. Hope your support is good…
Login page and Registration page is not this page, please wait, our developer will contact you very soon and give you solutions.
Thanks
OK, I will contact you guys via email. Many thanks for your quick reply!
We received your email, our developers will check and give you solutions.
Thanks
I bought and installed the theme. Have a couple of questions:
- How can I change the labels of “software”; “categories” etc on the submit a site page?
- How can I delete the “colours” option (the thing about black, green etc, this is not a useful feature).
- Finally how can I activate the “paid” packages when users submit a site?
THanks!
Hi, thanks for purchasing Awards.
Currently software, categories comes from admin options, but if you want our developer will help you to change it and delete colors options too.
Paid package is not available now, we are working on it, it will release in our next version. Only free submission is available.
Thanks
OK, but your marketing and preview site would suggest that this is an option NOW…. It’s a main reason I bought the template
Do you know when you are releasing the new version? Approximately.
We did not mention anywhere that paid options is available, but our developers are working on it. We cannot mention approximate date.
Thanks
Is there an HTML version of this or that I can purchase from you separately? We’d love to use some of this but don’t want to use Wordpress. Thanks!
Hi, you can purchase HTML version from here https://themeforest.net/item/awards-css-gallery-nominees-website-showcase-responsive-template/18628625 .
Thanks
Hey there – I’m curious if you have the documentation for this posted somewhere we can peek before purchase -
I love the design of the theme (really liked the html version) – but if I bought this, it would be for a more conventional directory or affiliate offer oriented site (not an “awards” style community) – so I’m having a wee bit of difficulty visualizing how some of the features would translate to a more “listings” driven site. (e.g. – let’s say, Amazon affiliate offers – or local restaurants, etc) .
If there is a doc file we could peek at – it may be helpful for pre-purchase questions. (or if you made an alternate example site displaying different use cases – like your marketplace theme demos – that would be awesome, as well) Thanks – and again – really beautifully done – unique and compelling design.
Hi, Thanks for your interest.
You can register in our site as nominee and see many options like how can you submit site’s from front-end, edit user profile etc. But if you want to know details about our admin panel how it works please email here https://themeforest.net/user/themestall#contact , we will send you our documentation.
Thanks
Hey all – I did send a request (per your comments above) via email, for the docs – and never got a response. The theme looks great – but from a directory functionality and presentation and theme copywriting standpoint – I don’t think you’re doing yourselves any favors in how the demo displays what could be accomplished with the theme – e.g. – how does the search element function? Is it pulling tags/categories and custom fields? Can it parse out “agencies” in one city/town/location? Can it pull the products that are submitted by folks who register for the site (e.g. – if we’re running a directory of authors let’s say – who have books for sale – or affiliate products – as you mention in the theme copy – will the search help our users find those people + their products?
What about paid packages – is that a Woocommerce workflow – and do you have any examples of that in action? (last I looked – the “packages” buttons were dead links)
Or reviews…..how are the ratings (percentages on the featured products) calculated – etc? There is no explanation for how that info is being displayed (or pulled) at all.
If you look at how all of the directory themes that are selling huge volume are actually articulating and communicating the core functionality – and then compare your description (and demo) – it feels like for such a great looking theme – you’re leaving it up to prospective buyers to figure out what it what – and why. This ought to be selling really, really well – and I think it will – once you add some detail and dimension to the live theme. (even the search fields in the demo feel like they are poorly matched to show “Advanced search functionality” – why do most searches yield “no” results
Just my 2 cents – I’ll probably buy it for looks alone – but would love to see it presented as professionally as the other top selling directories, before I trust that my intuitions on how it’s going to behave…..are right. Thanks.
Hi, we received your email and also gave response, please check your inbox. This is a Nominees gallery site Theme where different author can submit their products free, we did not work for paid version, but if anyone wants to make it paid, we just set a option for it. Also search functionality working fine in our live demo.
Thanks
