Hi there,
just having trouble after updating slider revolution to 6.5.x
It’s a lottery that the slider is loaded if you open a page of this theme. Sometimes it works and sometimes you only see a “loading circle” and no image will appear (50:50 chance). Reloading the page sometimes helps.
I already cleared caches, un- & reinstalled the plugin …. but nothing helps.

First of all… downgrading to the plugin distributed with the theme solved the issue. That’s good! Furthermore I’ve switched off automatic updating for the plugin to keep the current stable situation.
However, there is a huge difference between the current version of the “revolution slider” which currently is on 6.5.11 (November 2021) and the one which is attached to the theme = 6.3.2 (December 2020).
Any plans to catch up (e.g. to avoid security issues)?

We didn’t include WPBakery with this theme, and this means that we didn’t test and include compatibility with the plugin.
Please understand that you can install the WPBakery page builder but you won’t have our elements (shortcodes) integrated there.

Should the default_dynamic.php file just have this code? <?php do_action(‘central_qode_action_default_dynamic’); I had to go to an old backup of the file for the website to load correctly.

The mobile menu does not display properly on my iphone. The menu icon is pushed under the logo. I would like for the icon to be beside the logo. Is the logo area responsive? Is this possible?

Logo area is responsive, because mobile header is rendered for small screen devices. The problem is because your logo image for mobile is way too large. Please reduce it’s size and re-upload.

Parts are coming back. Sliders are there but content seems to be lost… By the way … the theme was updated by the Envanto Market plug-in
So I went back to 2.7 (from a backup) and everything works fine again. Then I’ve tried to install 3.0 as described in your reply. Same problem again! Must be an issue with 3.0

Hi, thanks for the offer but I do not like to send passwords (especially via email). However, I think the only way to get a solution is to wait for an update of v3.0 and/or the plugin, hoping that this will fix my issue. For the time being v2.7 works for me.
P.S.: Last hint from my side. Everything is there except the portfolio view (missing on all sites). Switching back and forth between 2.7 and 3.0 will always provide the same result. 2.7 works / 3.0 not. Cheers

Hi again, I guess I‘ve found the issue. It‘s the „full width“ template which is not working properly after the upgrade from 2.7 to 3.x. Switching to e.g. „standard“ template is solving the problem that my portfolio is not showing up on my homepage. Unfortunately the portfolio is not on full width / scalable with the standard template, so I can‘t use it.
Would be great if you could check and find a fix for the full width template.

The only thing not working is the „load more“ button doesn‘t appear anymore (but this could be maybe fixed in another rekease).

Hi there, apologize for my bad English… I don’t ask for assistance, but I found a problem that, in my opinion, you should check in the next update of your Central theme. The problem is related to the WPML plugin, but mainly seems to be in the functions.php code of the theme.
Here it is: the problem is that if WPML is active, it is not possible to set the various categories for the articles. If I select the desired category and update the article, it is always put in the “uncategorized” category. It seems that, even if you select only one category, all categories are selected when saving. If I deactivate the WPML plugin the problem disappears.
I then contacted WPML support, and it turned out that the cause of the problem is a line added to the functions.php file of the parent theme.
To solve it you need to comment on a line in the functions.php file,
from: flush_rewrite_rules ();
to: // flush_rewrite_rules ();

I am getting a lot of javascript errors on the website https://www.waggawebdesign.com eg uncaught syntaxerror unexpected token uncaught referenceerror etc. that are causing parts of the website to not load.
This page in particular https://www.waggawebdesign.com/home-portfolio/ loads ok if I switch themes but has 139 errors if I don’t.
I don’t want to switch themes though as the Central theme looks great.
I think it might be the jquery version being used by the theme
I saw other people had similar errors in the past Uncaught ReferenceError: headerSize is not defined and you suggested uploading the theme again. I have just tried this and still get the errors

Many thanks for your reply. I haven’t made any changes to the the theme files. I renamed the theme folder and uploaded the theme to the latest version using the wordpress installer. However the extra bracket is still there for some reason. I have asked my web host to try a backup from a month ago.
My host installed a backup of my website and it fixed the problems.

That option and it’s value is saved in database, so it is not related to theme update. You’ll need to make desired change directly in Custom Css and then to save options.

You can add custom CSS in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
Possibly you have not updated the theme according to our tutorial, as updating the theme should not affect the website content if it is done correctly.
Important part is that you do need to update the themes plugins that comes within the theme, Central Core for sure as well as the bundled plugins but everything is well explained in the tutorial.
Also, you can try to deactivate all 3rd party plugins that you do use with your theme in order to check for compatibility issues as these plugins has not been tested with our theme and we cannot guaranty compatibility with them.
