Just got a license for Cesis and was a little disappointed to see there is still no direct support for custom fonts (but custom headers and footers is awesome—thank you) beyond the included Google fonts. We own 4 licenses for The Fox and know we can add fonts via CSS and have done so, but they don’t appear in the typography drop down for either product. For an example of what I mean, take a look at Avada and how they handle custom fonts. There is a section in their theme to not only upload the different font file types but to also control how it appears in their typography font dropdown. And once you upload a font it is available in all their dialogues. Not trying to be negative about Cesis, you’ve done great work there, but the lack of full custom font support creates a lot of manual labor for us.

Regarding custom css and custom fonts we have a good reason why we don’t have it implemented in Cesis yet.
When we submit the theme to the marketplace we need to make sure that there is no features that the customers will loose when changing the theme to an other one ( google analytics, custom css, custom fonts etc ).
That’s why we currently don’t have those options we have in Thefox but don’t worry we are tweaking Cesis to have those options implemented with the our custom plugins you have to install when using Cesis.
Long story short, it’s not available yet but will soon be.
We are aiming at a theme where the customers can do everything they need without having contacting the support to achieve it so be sure that you will see those options to pop up in Cesis soon enough.

Hi tranmautritam. I am a photographer, blogger and I am considering buying a new theme. I fell in love with the plug-in called LayerSlider. How will this plugin work with the new Cesis? I also installed TheFox theme with my clients and I use it. Will the operating principle of the new Cesis be similar?

Glad to know you are using TheFox WordPress Theme. LayerSlider is currently not included but Slider revolution is. We will include the Layer slider next week. With CESIS you will be able to make modifications you could not with Thefox, you will be able to edit header and footer more easily, a lot of new header style, you can also use different menu and style on each page or post easily, the theme is also lighter and supports front-end editing. But if your site is currently using Thefox you will need to make modifications since it is a different theme.

Thank you for prompt response! If I understood correctly, did you write that LayerSlider will be included in Cesis next week? So I will be able to use it? TheFox is used by my clients. I use Dandelion by Pexeto. This is an old version and that’s why I want to replace it. How else can you encourage me to buy this theme? Do you know of any working site on this theme, not just examples?

Since Slider revolution is more powerful than Layerslider we thought only Slider Revolution would be enough, apparently, we were wrong 
Cesis will support Layerslider by the end of next week!
We took more than 2 years to include all the things we missed in Thefox, the theme is more powerful and lighter, you will have the possibility to customize everything you want really easily.
We are also working on new demos and asking the existing customer for feedback for new features/ideas we could include in the theme.
Since the theme was released 2 days ago we, unfortunately, don’t have sites from our customers to show you.

You can auto update the theme using the envato market plugin.
Regarding the child theme, yes, if you download the main package of the theme a zip file of the theme is included.

The main difference is the customizability level, you will be able to edit your site design a lot more easier and freely. The other main difference is the power of our custom modules and the fact that you can create everything from the frontend.
We don’t have the templates builder like Salient but sounds like a nice idea for a future update since it’s part of the WPbakery default features.

Hi Just pre question before purchase, I got thefox from you I am asking regarding more demos coming soon is it just a marketing strategy (when you last add demo to thefox theme?) and this theme will stay like this forever without any new demos like you did with thefox?

The problem we had with Thefox is that we noticed that we didn’t implemented and didn’t programmed it smart enough to let the user edit the design we created as easily as we thought and couldn’t update it ( the features ) because of Backward compatibility. With Cesis we won’t have this problem. We are also asking for customer to give us their idea about the demo “theme” they would like to see next.
Currently we are already working on a “Education” and “Architect” demo.
New demos will have from 4 to 10 pages depending the “theme” of the demo.
We took time to make Cesis to implement all the things we missed in Thefox and I can assure we learned a lot from our mistake.
You shouldn’t be deceived.

Honestly I am not renewing my thefox subscription specially for a reason of coming soon demo that never happen
Also this new theme why you say over 200 template? you only have 6 demos!! all the rest are pages

We have 6 different demos that have 5 pages , and 200 templates, templates meant to be the homepages / services / about / contact etc pages.
In the future we are going to add demos not templates ( single pages ), what we are aiming at are carefully designed demos.
I am sorry if the templates part was misleading.
The only thing I can tell you know is that we are going to have new demos in the near future and that we are preparing a form for customer to give us idea / suggestion about the next “demo theme” they would like to see / use.
We want happy customers more than everything so if currently you think the theme doesn’t fit your needs maybe wait a little until you see new demos.

You can also use video in the slider, use overlay or not, use self hosted or youtube, vimeo video etc.
