Hey, quick question: I’m using the tabs on a page and wanted to know if there is there a way to make the tab titles link to another page? I tried doing
[tab title=”Design“]
But it did’t work. Primarily, I would like the permalink to have the title in it rather than the #tab-3-tab extension for SEO purposes.

Hi, the tabs widget can link only to inline elements and must contain an id parameter in order to work – try this shortcode out:
[tabs] [tab id="design" title="Design" active="true"] ... [/tab] [tab id="dev" title="Development" active="true"] ... [/tab] [/tabs]

and that didn’t work… in terms of linking it to another page (the tab shows up fine). But I think what you’re saying is that the widget does not link to other pages correct? However, using id tag will eliminate the #tab-3-tab issue… correct?

sorry.. this board seems to be taking out the href tag I included between the quotation marks that warp around the word “Design”
The tab container does not link to other pages, it offers only navigation within the current page. The tab shortcode does not have any href parameters, please read the documentation (bottom section).

I love your theme! I recently upgraded to WordPress 3.5.1 and the portfolio entries are not showing up in the dash board panel. The tab is there but the individual items are not showing up in the list. Oddly, the portfolio items still come up on the site and when I filter using the tags, I see the protfolio items but I’m unable to edit or click them. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
When I updated the Wordpress I did get an Warning Statement that said: “Warning: Invalid argument supplied for fore each() in /wp-content/themes/cleangold/utils/admin/classes/classes.options_machine.php on line 412”
These are the lines of code in classes.options_machine.php:
line 410 foreach ($sortlist as $key => $list) { line 411 line 412 $output .= ’<input class=”sorter-placebo” type=”hidden” name=”’.$value[‘id’].’’.$group.’” value=”placebo”>’;
I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the portfolio items displaying in the dashboard though.

Hi, this issue happens if you used the old version of the theme – I’m happy to say this can be fixed easily. I bought the theme yesterday and have hit my first snag, so far I have no qualms with it.. it’s lovely, but as mentioned earlier in this topic I need the logo area to be larger.
I’ve edited the code but when viewing on an iPad + iPhone – it’s horrid. Obviously adjusting the header and whatnot throws the responsive out.. So, I am wondering, is it possible to resize the logo area along within the theme? I really need the logo to be quite bigger than what we are allowed – I have a three word logo that needs to be inserted and when I add it, it’s resized and looks terrible. Is there a workaround for this? When I edit the code it throws the responsive right out, so I would be grateful for some advise and some hints towards adjusting this without messing up the responsiveness

Hi, and sorry for my poor english…
I´m trying to create a new portfolio item. First of all i set de title, some content, assign a category and finally customize de “additional Properties” but here is where i get some error.
In “additional Images” i want to add multiple images (10-20), so i click on the “add new image” but it not work because when i update de item it only upload de first of them, and i have to upload 1 at a time.
The other issue is very frustrating. I had the portafolio item customize, and when i try to configure the portfolio thumbnails it automatically erase all the addticional images that i previously upload!! i don´t know what i´m doing wrong, so please… help me!

The features list can be managed when you edit a portfolio item in the Additional Properties section. 1) I don’t seem to be able to get auto-updates when you release a new theme (I’m currently on 1.03). I’ve copied and pasted the API key where I should, but still no luck.
2) I still really love your demo site (http://themes.liviucerchez.com/cleangold/) – but can you tell me how you got your awesome home page? This isn’t included when I used the cleangold.import.xml file.

Hi, here are my answers to your questions:
1. Just tested this functionality and it should work fine. Can you give me temporary access to your WP admin? Send me a private message and I’ll check it out.
2. There is no special magic involved – I use almost every editable section in the home page administration tab. Try using more section blocks, then edit them as you prefer.

Hi, can you tell me what options I have for the recent works on the home page? I am curious if I am able to set the number of recent works to display, if I am able to choose a category of recent works, and if I could set up 2 sections on the home page for recent works, with each one being a different category (IE 3 recent works of commercial projects, and 3 recent works of residential projects)
Hi, the feature you describe is not available currently, sorry. The latest work sections pulls from all portfolio items (ordered by date) and limits the no. of recent work to 6. Regards!

I noticed you are using a child theme, so make sure the child theme’s index.php file has correct parameters for selecting the portfolio items. Send me temporary access for your WP admin panel and I’ll take a look see what I can do (via profile contact form).
Hi, just purchased the theme and set it up – but when I use the xml to import all the posts etc – it completes, and adds the images to the Media Library – but none of them seem to be displaying, and the navigation seems a bit broke – do you have any idea? I can supply the link to the test site etc if you need.

Hi, the import .xml file can be used as a sample for the content of the pages and posts. The WordPress import does not work well with custom types – you need to set the images to each post yourself. Also, you need to edit the navigation menu under Appearance > Menus – add/remove/group at will.

Hi, just input your own excerpt in the post edit page. The excerpt is an editable WordPress field, so you can shorten that out anytime. Make sure you have it visible by using the Screen Options panel.

Hi, you need to setup a different permalink structure. Please visit the Settings > Permalinks and change the Default Settings to something like Month and name or Post name. Hello there. First of all, congratulations for creating this beautiful and well-documented WP theme, such as CleanGold. We have just acquired it, meaning we would like to use it for our Brazilian design office’s website. That said, the site is meant to be in Portuguese, but we are having some problems regarding to that. Is it possible to edit the title of the widgets, as they are displayed in the front page? (e.g. change from “Work” to “Trabalhos”). Also, is it possible to edit the generic category (“All”) that includes all the Portfolio entries? Your answer would be of great help. Thanks in advance.

I am using your theme and have a question about uploading videos. When uploading the videos to my Theme portfolio using iFrame or Embed format, a 404 error shows up. ( I am trying to upload the videos you can see at the URL: https://vimeo.com/indigocg). Same error appears when using SZ-Video plugin. Please let me know if there is any solutions. For the update, is it acceptable practice to sftp the cleangold dir over the old files, after backing up?
Yes, you could update the theme by FTP anytime – no worries.

Seems as though I cannot preview drafts with this theme active?
Anytime I hit “preview” it loads the page with a 404 page not found?
Ex. http://townhomes10.com.s160658.gridserver.com/?p=353&preview=true
Cannot see any issues with my setup although it’s possible there are other causes so just wanted to check if there are any theme settings or options defined that would cause this issue?

Hi, Lovely theme! Before I purchase I need to know if there is a way to link directly to a portfolio category. This would allow me to have a drop down menu under portfolio for each category so a user can get directly to the portfolio of their choice, rather than just viewing all and clicking the filter option. I need this not only for the menu, but mainly for the ability to link direction to a portfolio from an email link or similar. Thank you in advance.
Hi, thank you for your interest. Yes, the theme supports having multiple portfolio pages – created either by a specific category or by a special page template with a base category setting. It should be pretty easy to achieve this.

Hi there. I love this template so far, but I’ve gotten stuck. I want to create 2 portfolio pages, art and design. However, they are both pulling from the Portfolio template, thus they are the same content. Is there a way to create a second portfolio template? I’d like two separate pages, art and design. I noticed you are using the 1.03 version of the theme, but the current one is 1.1.1 and it offers multiple portfolio page support. Please re-download the theme, backup your admin settings and install the new version.
Currently the folio items are sorted by date of publish, that explains the fixed chronological order. I’ll see what I can do about this in the next release.

Hi, I have purchased this theme and I ilke it. Just a few questions….
The images in the slider seem to always use the size 940×460px even when displaying the images in a bigger mode. This scaling-up of images, makes them blurry. So I would like to have the site responsive, but make the 940×460 be the maximum resolution, is this possible?
And also, how do I get rid of the date-info in the portfolio thumbnails?
