I have recently inherited a wordpress site that is using version 3.4.8 of Croma. I only have a wordpress login and do not have a login for the associated cpanel or the croma theme.
What is the best way to upgrade to the latest version of Croma? Do I need to repurchase the theme and follow the update steps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, Go to wp-admin>appearance>install plugins. Update all require plugin update. Be sure coma-music and wpbakery plugins are activated. You probably also need to activate Essential Grid and Revolution Slider plugins.

The Event widget has limitations as it only allows filtering events by artist, not by category. However, our demos often feature an event grid created with Essential Grid, which does support category filtering. WP-Bakery Edit mode is no longer working, Does it have anything to do with the fact that there is a new version of WP-Bakery out, the latest version of croma is using 6.9, 6.10 is now available

WPBakery 6.9 should still work fine. As usual the last WPBakery Page Builder version will be part of the next Croma release. The issue is probably caused by something else. Please ensure that you have the latest version of our theme, which is version 3.5.10, and the latest version of our plugin croma-music, which is version 3.5.9. Please update both of them if you haven’t already.

However, before doing so, I suggest updating the Croma theme to the latest version (v.3.5.10), as you are currently running v.3.5.9. After updating, navigate to wp-admin>appearance>install plugins, and update the croma-music plugin to version 3.5.9, along with any other required plugin updates. Additionally, I recommend using an MP3 file for audio instead of a WAV file, as WAV files are much larger in size. If the issue persists, please do not hesitate to create a support ticket.

You have to use a third part plugin for the language switcher as WPML or polylang. If you want to located the language switcher in the header, bu aware you have to place it in the “default language area” to prevent issue with the ajax navigation. https://drops.sonaar.io/i/eBO4no

Unfortunately, the CROMA theme loads all fonts from Google and is therefore no longer GDPR compliant.
Solutions such as the “OMGF” plugin or the “Disable & Remove Google Fonts” plugin have unfortunately not brought any success and are therefore not usable.
Can we expect any fix or at least the option to block loading Google Fonts from Google servers? We need to load the fonts locally, which can be achieved through CSS, but is not sufficient if the theme keeps contacting Google Servers again and again. This is very dangerous under GDPR regulation right now for us!
When will plugins that come with this theme be updated? Both Slider Revolution and WP Bakery seem to be perpetually out of date. I am unable to update them myself. They updates must be pushed from Iron Templates.

Google Fonts may be loaded after newest GDPR right only from the own server and not from Google. Unfortunately, the CROMA theme loads all fonts from Google and is therefore no longer GDPR compliant.

I can then only advise not to buy and to disable the theme, unless the theme is adapted or there is a solution for it!
Hi. I had bought The Croma Theme a long time ago. Now I’ve installed this theme again after a long time.. When I try to install the demo content, the status gets stuck at 9MB out of 43MB and won’t continue. What could be the problem?

We have the latest version of both. It turned out to be a conflict with some Mailchimp code another dev had added. On an unrelated note, I tested the theme with PHP 8 yesterday and the site crashed. Will an updated version of the theme be released soon?

I would like to report a potential bug in the Croma Music plugin. I am unable to see any effect when I make any changes to Events settings. Font, size, color, background color, hover color – none of these settings has any effect on the way event lists are displayed. Anyone else having this issue?
small update: it seems that the setting for Color 1 under Look and Feel in the Croma settings (not Croma Music) is affecting the color of my event list text.

Maybe a custom css make the event list typo inherit color from the look and feel Color 1, because the color should be the color from the croma-music>event settings.
