Hello, Even though I downloaded the latest version of the theme it shows that is 1.3.9 and not 1.4. Is it just a wrong number or the previous version? Also, I’m experiencing a big problem with the “customizer” I get an error and it doesn’t open. Could you please help?

Hi, the latest forqy update breaks Wordpress, and breaks plugins page, can’t update or load all plugins, on PHP 7.4 and 8.1

Thanks for reporting this issue. I’ve fixed this bug in a new version 1.2.5 of the “FORQY” plugin. Just update the plugin through the admin (if you can), or download the plugin’s package on https://plugin.forqy.website/forqy-1.2.5.zip and update manually using FTP.

I think latest update broke something in terms of normal pages background: the background image assigned to other pages via Theme Customisation (I use Dox Child theme) it doesn’t work anymore. In code I can see the website background only in
<style id=”custom-background-css”> .fy-background—site .fy-background-site { background-image: url (<url>)
But then on website it’s no background. It was working up to latest update. Any idea how to fix this?

I just bought that theme, because I was looking for a theme which supports WCAG. Either I’m just not seeing it or there are a few things missing. For example, I can’t find a classic sidebar. Or the “About the Author” box. Can that be enabled somewhere? Thanks for any help.

I’m sorry for my delay in replying. Unfortunately, I can’t find your email in our support inbox.
Errors in a validator are caused by WordPress, as it generates the layout CSS styles with the editor. Unfortunately, I’m not able to resolve these issues from the perspective of the theme. I know it isn’t good, but I hope WordPress developers resolve this soon.
But you don’t have to worry about it, as these errors don’t cause any problems with the functionality of the website.

Hi, I’m considering to buy a DOX theme for a customer with WCAG standards. The thing is, I need one with a custom post type called Services. So my question is do the themes offer a way of implementing a new custom post type, or can the theme provided cpt’s be changed by name/slug somehow?

The theme coming with several post types:- Portfolio [project]
- Menu [menu]
- Albums [album]
- Events [event]
- Gallery [gallery]
You can change the “slug” of every post type in a customizer, and names/labels displayed in admin, you can change through the translation files included in the theme.
Also, custom post types (and their templates) can be added programmatically through the child theme.

It seems like my client is leaning towards the DOX theme, so I have a final question before we buy this. Buying the theme I can import any of the various templates? And maybe mix & match parts of different templates in a page?

Yes, you can simply import any demo by your preferences, but a combination of several imports isn’t possible. But I can help you with that, just send me your requirements and ideas, and I will set up for you the theme’s appearance.

Hi again, I noticed that on small mobile devices the theme doesn’t properly adjust because it has a min width of 360px, and that cuts of part of the right side of the content (and the main nav menu) for a lot of devices. Are there any plans to add a css update in the immediate future or should I use custom css for it?

Thanks for the information about this. In the next version, I will decrease the minimum width of the viewport. For now, you do this by adding the following CSS into the “Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS” field:
.fy-container, .fy-canvas, .fy-header, .fy-footer {
min-width: 320px;

Hi again Pavel,
Thnx for the css! Any chance you could also take a look at the min height of the slider (.fy-slider-container) for smaller screens? Right now it’s static (set to 640px). I needed a banner on the home slider, so used one of the buttons for it, and it goes below the fold on smaller devices.
Also, any chance we’ll see a next theme update within a week? If not I’d like to know so that I won’t wait for these fixes and apply my own.
And also 3 more things I found that cause accesibility erros with achecker :
1 – the footer id doesn’t translate properly in greek (skips the slug and translates as ‘main’ string which already exists in <main> id), while the aria label is well translated. Is there a need for a different footer id in each page?
2 – in the posts default page, an <aside> element is rendered offscreen, and causes a double id for the search input
3 – in the footer, the columns have different heading levels (either h2 or h3) which causes a header nesting error (I rearranged the footer widgets so this comes up)

You can translate the button links in the “About” section on the “String translations” page:
- String “dox_homepage_about_button_first_page” – add the ID of a page in the desired language
- String “dox_homepage_about_button_second_page” – add the ID of a page in the desired language

I’m not sure if this is the case, but it could be solved by updating the “vendor/forqy/core/js/links.js” file, give it a try. But of course, update the whole theme, this is not a good way. If you made changes to the theme, you’ve unfortunately lost the possibility of future updates.
