Hello,
thanks for this beautiful Template – my girlfreind love it!
How can i change the Video in Video-Background? i understand that ID= youtube -ID… but can i implement a own local video?
And 2. question: why video doe’s not work (don’t play automatic) in your own Templates? Video doe’s not play – why?
thanks for helping and best regards
Patrick
Hello Patrick,
First of all, thank you for the purchase and I’m really happy your girlfriend loves my work!
Secondly, I checked the homepage templatse that have video backgrounds and I must confess you are right, the videos don’t play indeed. To be honest, I haven’t checked the code of this theme for a while, I literally sell only 3 or 4 copies per year, so it isn’t the main priority in my business life, but I always fix a bug if someone lets me know one. I guess YouTube API has been changed in the meantime and the code I wrote back then became outdated and cannot communicate with the YouTube’s server effectively. I’ll take a deeper look and let you know when the issue fixed.
To answer your other question, I decided to allow YouTube videos only because self hosted videos can be very very very bandwith consuming, even a moderate traffic can slow your site to death if you don’t have the proper network and server environment to serve the videos. In fact, it is possible to use self hosted videos, but it requires some coding. Pleas shoot me an email at mark@markzart.com, then I’ll let you know what to change.

Mark
Hello, I have a question about the “portfolio-cards-3columns”. Can I do something to “Works” were extended to the entire width of the screen no matter on what will be the size of the screen?
Please help, and sorry for my poor English.
Regards Mariusz Korolczuk
Hello Mariusz,
First of all thank you for the purchase and don’t worry about your English!
I guess you would like to make the mentioned portfolio layout wider. In fact it is possible to change its width, but I cannot recommend it. The layout of the theme is already “super-responsive” that means it is optimized for all screens from mobile devices to HD monitors. If you check the media queries in the style.css file, you will see the different style rules I created for different screen sizes. The current layout looks good on all kind of screens and I’m afraid changing the width of the portfolio would brake that harmony. It is possible, but you need to be a really experienced frontend coder otherwise things can go wrong easily…
Anyway, I recommend you to use Firebug or Chrome developer tools to find the relevant css code in case you insist to change the portfolio layout. Move the mouse over the portfolio, right click then select “Inspect element”. After then you just need to click on the relevant html tag to see its css styles and the exact location of the style rule in the css file. Don’t forget to backup your files before start to make changes inside them!

Mark
Could you tell me if files (sql…) for wordpress are into ? Thanks
Hello Johan,
First of all thank you for the purchase!
Secondly, it is a html template and unfortunately it is not compatible with WordPress, however, it built with begginer coders in mind, so you will be able work with the files in case you have some very basic coding knowledge.
The WordPress version is on the way, but I cannot estimate its release date precisely, because I’m quite busy due to my other projects.
Anyway, feel free to write me anytime if you need my assistance.
Regards,
Mark
Wonderful… I liked this too much.. I would like to get some help with the contact form. How to set up this with my email? Thank you very much
Hello Jason,
First of all thank you for the purchase! Secondly, you will need to edit the line 18 & 19 in the mail.php file in order to get the contact form work:
//DEFAULT STATE : $address = "Write here your email address, for example: john_doe@gmail.com"; $mail->AddAddress($address, "Your Address"); //SHOULD LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS : $address = "mark@markzart.com"; $mail->AddAddress($address, "Mark Zelei");
Feel free to write me here or a direct message at mark@markzart.com in case you need my assistance!

Mark
Great template!!! For mobile i need the header background (home-full2.jpg) to be left: -555px. Is there a way to easily set that in css? It is evading me =D
Hello Jack,
I gues you are working with the “Fashion Brand” homepage. It is important to know that all the dimensions and position of the full screen image backgrounds are calculated by javascript, to be precise I use the Backstretch plugin for this purpose. The plugin places and aboslute positioned image with negative z-index into its parant element which in this case is the <div class=”home3”>. Since the image element is absolute positioned it is possible to move it outside the viewport, but I’m not sure it will look good on wide range of screens. Anyway, I would try something like this:
.backstretch img { left: -555px !important; }
Anyway, may I ask why do you want to move the image ouside the viewport by 555px? I ask this because there might an alternative solution to achieve your idea, for instance I would also consider to leave the code as is and try to move the image outside its canvas in a graphic editor such as Photoshop or Fireworks. It is easier to manipulate the image than dealing with the code for a non-coder guy I think.

Mark
Thanks for the quick response Mark. Image is just weighted to the right side. I kind of like it like that… but it is true, I could center it. Take a look, any thoughts are welcome. http://www.jacklynchcomedy.com/
Thank you again.
That worked though!!! You are a GOD!!!! I was forgetting the
I will leave it the way it is for you to check out, maybe there is a way you can think of to just right justify the image, so we don’t have to snap move it. Either way though, I am happy =D
that was “important”
I just modified your homepage image a bit, you can check the result here. I’d make a try with that image.
You are right, that is the BEST fix!!!! Thanks Mark!!!!
You are welcome!
your work is so clean and professional.. good luck for sales
Thank you very much!
Hi, I have seen that the %counter (pageloader) does not fit on mobile devices, same for some heading sections. Are you going to fix this? Also: what is the grid system and where can I preview the documentaion about components and typesystem,...? BTW: really nice design!
Hi,
You are right with the preloader, but all the header sections seem to be all right on my side. I just re-checked all of them on various screen sizes ( I used different iPhones and iPads + Chrome’s device emulator ) and I really see all the headers perfect. May I ask you to send me screenshots that show the problems you discovered? For sure all the issues will be fixed in no time ( actually fixing the preloader is a pretty easy fix that everyone with a very little css knowledge can do since it is a minor issue and easy to find the relevant code in the file ), but the mentioned screenshots would make the process much faster and easier. Maybe it is something that appears only on your side, maybe a real problem. I don’t know yet.
Feel free to send me the images at mark@markzart.com.
Thank you for let me know the problem.
Regards,
Mark
Oh, I’m sorry, forgot your other question… So, I use my very own framework and the documentation can be found here.
Hi Mark, thanks for the quick reply. You are right, the header now looks good again on (real) phone. It just behaves differently on browser resize (latest chrome, page: http://markzart.com/demos/html/elastic/index-home-fashion-brand-image-bg.htm). Example: Image looks “cropped” (to much shift to left when resizing the browser window to 320×480 for example and the textlogo has no margins anymore – I didn´t re-check the others. I am sure its not critical and easy to fix and, as mentioned, its fine on (real) mobile.
However, its hard to remember different frameworks, grid-systems,... for every customer therefore I personally not using other people grid systems, especially when there is no sass/scss version of all styles available.
I really like your styles, clean and easy. Good luck with sales.
Great work
