this theme has some kind of back-end like wordpress ? first time seeing a non wp theme that looks nice
Hi there,
This is an HTML template so there is no CMS attached to the back-end. If you’re more comfortable working with a CMS then HTML might not be for you.
Our page builder does allow you to easily assemble and edit the contents of the page, then output that page as a .html file.
Cheers, Craig
Hi, just a question to see if the problem is with me or the template.
I have built a site with foundry and am using the contact us forms with gmail and the smtp but every time I use it I get “Unable to connect with TLS encryption” and I can’t see what is wrong as the servers are fine with sending email in wordpress themes.
Kind regards,
Mark
Hey there Mark,
If you’d like to open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com we can help you work through this issue.
Thanks, Craig
Hi Craig,
Thank you for getting back to me. Sadly I took quite a while to use the theme and the support element has timed out, so I can’t submit a support request. The difficult with the problem is I have tried it using your theme unaltered except to put the gmail smtp settings and I get the same problem. This problem occurs on all the servers I have tried, so it is very confusing.
Kind regards,
Mark
Hi Mark,
Gmail can be a little finicky – if you want to drop us an email at support@mrare.co we can discuss there.
Thanks, Craig
HI Craig,
Thank you for your reply and offer to contact via email. I sent an email on Monday if possible could you check to see if you got it and if the problem is being looked at?
Kind regards,
Mark
Hi Craig,
Still not had a reply on the email I sent, it would be great to be able to get the issues with the forms sorted.
Kind regards,
Mark
Sorry for the delay here. I’ve sent you an email response. In future, the best way to reach us for daily support (excluding weekends) is via our dedicated system at http://mediumrare.ticksy.com
James
Hi guys
Trying to contact you for some time, is there any email I can reach you on?
Kind regards, Kuba
Hi there,
You can reach us at hello@mrare.co – we don’t seem to have recieved anything from you..
Is anyone else having issues with the instagram feeds? I have tried a few different accounts on the widgetized footer and Grid Gallery and nothing is working…
Hi, Since Instagram updated their API to be more restrictive, users now need to register an “app” using the Instagram developer center. This is not difficult to do, but the restriction means that you may only display your own feed.
Please open a ticket at http://mediumrare.ticksy.com for more information.
James
I have submitted a ticket. Waiting to hear back.
Private Ticket #1017297
Hi there,
Apologies for the delay we’ve now responded to your ticket.
There is no response that I can see on the ticket… Nothing has been updated…
Hi there,
We have replied to all open tickets – has the issue been resolved? If not we might have an issue on the support forum. You can let us know via email if you would prefer: support@mrare.co
Thanks for your patience, Craig
Does this supports RTL languages?
Hi,
Foundry has not been designed with RTL in mind, so while you can simply change text direction in CSS, Foundry doesn’t officially support it.
James
Im torn between Foundry and Pillar. I like the Foundry bettter for the choice of elements but feel Lead Page layouts are missing and Pillar has these – CTA’s and Covers with Form built in—Id buy Pillar too if we can mix and match them
- Is it possible to combine elements of Pillar with Foundry?
Thanks.
Hi,
Sorry but no, you can’t mix parts between these two templates. Pillar can be altered for square buttons etc. so a “Foundry” look can be achieved. CTAs can be made from foundry sections also, you could use “Titles” and replace the text.
Having said that, we have a new template on the horizon which will surely satisfy your every need!
James
Thanks James. Do you have an ETA on the new template?
Within the next few weeks
Thanks

I’d like a video background in a header (behind the header on home-app-landing.html). But I don’t want it to be a slider or have slider controls.
How can I accomplish this?
Hi,
We can assist you with this at our official support channel http://mediumrare.ticksy.com . Just open a ticket there and we’ll be glad to help you out.
James
Hello, in IE 11 the background video does not fully extend due to the object-fit property not supported by IE 11. Do you have a fix for it?
Hey there,
I’ve replied to this on Ticksy with some CSS media query recommendations for IE11.
Craig
Thanks got it.
No worries
Hi there. I am having issues with the embeded you tube videos not playing on apple devices.I have tested on two ipads and it seems as if the play buttons are not working. They work fine on my PC and Android device.
Hi there,
Replied to your ticket on Ticksy.
Thanks, Craig
Hi- I am trying to submit a ticket on your support forum but I keep getting an error message.
Two questions: 1) I am not able to get the emails to submit and 2) The accordions don’t collapse when you push the – button
Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi there,
Apologies for the delay with the support system. Ticksy has had some down-time. We’re back up now and will be responding to tickets.
Thanks for your patience, Craig
sorry, wrong forum. cant delete commet
No worries
No support prebuy, no support postbuy, no public forum, bad document for mailchimp connection
I find your tone rather unreasonable. This is the first time you have contacted us about Foundry. Please allow time for us to respond to your queries as time zone differences can make it difficult to respond immediately.
Documentation is available here: http://foundry.mediumra.re/docs/foundry_docs/To embed a MailChimp form, simply use Variant, select a section that contains a newsletter signup form and click the envelope to embed your form code. Variant does the rest. To get the form code, start a list in your MailChimp backend and click “Signup forms”, click “Embedded forms” and choose “get code”. Copy the code and paste it into the box in Variant. In Variant, click GET HTML and there you have the code for your section with an embedded MailChimp form.
The form in your page will automatically be submitted by AJAX and you will get a response.
I’ll respond to your 1 star review separately.
James
Previous Buy: I contact you with live chat three days and in this time do you response me. The question in pivot template answered three days later.
Post Buy: No public tickets (no forum) and knowledge no resolve and mixes concepts with Wordpress
I apologize for my comment of expensive ticket time for time zone but other points arent understable for 5 star theme in support.
This is the explain in document for Mailchimp. With you new explain I configured but with this explain its imposible.
EMBEDDING MAILCHIMP AND CAMPAIGN MONITOR FORMS
The easiest way to embed a MailChimp or Campaign Monitor form in Foundry is to use Variant to embed the form and let it generate the necessary code. The reason for this is that Variant encodes the embed form to make it embeddable in Foundry’s iframe.
Open your Campaign Monitor or MailChimp account and copy the form code from there to your clipboard. Open Variant, select the form section that matches the section you want to use, and click the envelope icon to bring up the “Embed Newsletter Form” dialog box. Paste in the whole code you copied from your mail list provider and click Save. Then click GET HTML on Variant’s sidebar and copy the iframe into your HTML Page. If you are using Variant to build your page, this will all be done for you.
If you are working from an example MailChimp / Campaign Monitor form shown in one of the demo pages included with the template, your form will be ready to go and will submit via ajax. A later version of Foundry will discontinue use of the iframe method altogether.
Please keep all support related queries to your ticket on Ticksy where we have responded.
Thanks, James
Hi – I’m having a problem – when I go to import images or change the default images, the area that used to hold the image gallery is now all blue and cant be accessed, and choosing to import images doesn’t do anything – this is on an up-to-date win 10 pc with up-to-date google chrome and java – I have tried all I know to resolve this recent issue (everything has worked until the last couple of days) – any advice? thanks
Hi there Timothy,
Can you try clicking the settings cog, then clicking ‘Reset Gallery’ and letting us know if that works?
Thanks, Craig
I’m between Pillar and Variant demos using page builder. You are leading so far in ease of use. However, I’m wondering why you don’t allow us to get to the source code for each block? I use a lot of video players(VooPlayer, EVS) that need their own iframe and javascript code inserted into a block. My standard block for sites is two columns. Text on left, video on the right. How can I do this without using a text editor after publishing the pages?
Hey there,
At this stage – this is only the way to do it if you need to add your own custom javascript. This is because the builder requires full knowledge of what code ‘lives’ inside each block – we are working toward a more general approach where the builder will be able to better respond to the users custom code but at this stage we aren’t quite there.
Thanks, Craig
Hi, we’ve been using Foundry for a while now but have only just come across this problem when starting to use form mail. We’ve set up the mail settings correctly but the message doesn’t send and we get the following warning message in the error log… PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library ’/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20131226/ixed.5.4.lin’ – /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20131226/ixed.5.4.lin: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
We’ve re-downloaded the latest version of Foundry and set up a ‘vanilla’ install but get the same error message. Any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks
Hi,
I’ve answered your ticket on http://mediumrare.ticksy.com – this looks like a PHP/server configuration problem which I suggest you investigate with your hosting provider.
James
Hi, we’ve just amended the mail.php settings with a different email account and all works now as intended. The problem seemed to be with the original hosting provider. Thanks.
Thanks for following up here
hi, i can upload my theme on wordpress, because there is not style in the theme. how can i do that?
Hello, You have purchased an HTML template by mistake. This is not a WordPress Theme.
The WordPress thee version is sold here: https://themeforest.net/item/foundry-multipurpose-multiconcept-wp-theme/12468676Please note the difference in the Title of the item.
Hi I have left a ticket on the support, but not got an answer? On the standard slider image gallery, how can I overlay the image title on top of the image. So if it was a picture of a beach, it would say beach pic on the image?
I believe this ticket has been attended to.
James
any chance i could get the pads or sketch files ? i would like to do a little visual work before jumping in. from the comments i see they may not be exact, thats OK.
Hi,
Sorry, but there are no files available for Foundry at this stage.
James
Im confused, i read in other comments that you said you do have them but they are not 100% reflection of the final design – these would do. I think there would be great value in having these done and distributing them with the builder. I think most people never jump straight into code with our doing a little visual work even when using builders
Hi there,
Apologies for the delay on this. If you’d like to open a ticket at our support forum I can provide you a link to the PSD’s that we do have. As you described they are not congruent with the final web product and hence we don’t offer them out anymore.
Thanks, Craig
Hi, just started playing a little with this theme and noticed that a lot of images are missing in the builder, any idea what’s going on?
Take a look at this screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/15f1cotvu2mz893/Screenshot%202016-12-08%2011.55.28.png?dl=0
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing!
As described in the item details page, some of the photography is subject to copyright and therefore could not be distributed as in the demo with the download package.
Thanks, Craig
Hey guys. Swiftmailer isn’t working correctly when using the contact form on a page like so – domain.com/sub/page/1 – Works fine on /contact, but not on /contact/contact2 for example. Any way to get this working across all pages? Thanks
Hi, The destination for enquiry form handling is mail.php in the mail folder, and by default is set to a relative path /mail/mail.php . This is set in js/scripts.js. If you are using pages in subdirectories or need to use a different address structure, you can hard-code the destination in scripts.js to http://yourdomain.com/mail/mail.php to make it work on all pages.
James
